Supannee House of Thai
Great selection of wines and local beers reasonably priced.
Always the best Thai food in town!
One of the best Thai restaurants in San Diego. The food is delicious!
Pete was great! Super helpful with menu choices and extremely personable. The atmosphere matches the food and promotes and healthy and delicious experience!
The best Thai food I have ever had. Highly recommend.
The tamarind fish 3 ways was way too sweet and loaded with mostly large chunks of onions. the seafood curry was a really lumpy pasty consistency that was off putting. Have been coming here since the old days when they had the smaller place and I have found that recently it's hit or miss.
It was very crowded because it was Mother’s Day. Some of the food wasn’t as good as I thought. The sea bass was good though. The service was alright as well. But I will try to go on another day and give it another chance.
It took one hour and twenty minutes to be served dinner. We have never experienced that before and we frequent this restaurant often.
Great food and very friendly staff
Food tastes very authentic
Delicious food and great service! Second time here and was great both times.
Excellent food and attentive service! We are lucky to have a restaurant of this quality in our community ! They also have parking a real plus on a busy weekend.
We’ve been longtime fans of this restaurant so have repeatedly returned in the last 18 months, hoping that we just came on a bad day. Most times we bring friends from out of the area for dinner, and the last few visits have been embarrassingly sub-par. It appears the food and service here have permanently declined. This visit our waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu, the noodle dish we ordered came with few noodles and to top off the experience, we were seated behind a drunk and rowdy party of four that were literally yelling their entire conversation. We couldn’t carry on a conversation, and staff did nothing to address the clearly disruptive group. Very, very disappointing.
Great atmosphere, the three of us had different dishes that were all fantastic. It was my 91 year old Japanese aunt’s first experience with Thai style food, or at least that is what she claimed. Regardless she thoroughly enjoyed it.
We were enjoying our time with appetizers. However, it seemed as though one of our entrees was delivered to another table that arrived after us. We waited for the entree to arrive, but no one came to our table. We had to grab a server to ask & she said they were working on it. It was shrimp, takes no time at all. Finally, after 10 minutes, the entree arrived hot, while the others were now all cold. No further explanation. Seems kitchen is not organized. Would not recommend.
It is just our go-to place for the best Thai food in San Diego County! The food is always served fresh, hot, and with such beautiful presentation
We took in-laws to dinner and everyone was happy. They were scared of spicy and they were really happy with how everything was prepared. We were pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t packed on Sunday night so we got a table easily and service was fast. Food is always fabulous too!
Delicious food and great selections to choose from!
Fantastic as always. Great food...fresh ingredients. Yum yum!!
Always good food. It was really busy so the service was slower than usual but that is expected.
Very good food & service. My wife's food was too (spicy) hot, but they corrected it. Ambiance could use a little improvement, and can get a little noisy, but overall a very good value.
Delicious food and excellent service
We were very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant in a small mall on Shelter Island. It was busy on a Saturday night, so the noise level was high in the small space with tables close together. Our server was excellent - skilled and suggested some items on the menu for the four of us. The menu is extensive and well-priced. The portions are huge. We had excellent salads - green papaya, regular greens, wonderful sausage appetizer, yellow chicken curry, mixed seafood with vegetables, flank steak with stir fry veg and a fabulous hot dipping sauce. Beer choices were quite good as were the wine choices. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for authentic Thai food.
Average - OK. The place isn't anything special. Food was average and there isn't anything special about it. I think next time, I will choose something different.
Most of the Food was excellent but my crab fried rice was a little bland. I checked that it was a Birthday celebration but there was no acknowledgment. Friendly staff and good service. Our six year old granddaughter’s favorite place to go. She loves the coconut soup and so do we.
Great food. Staff very friendly
The mixed seafood curry was excellent, i tried Thai hot which is really hot. Fantastic.
great food with a wide range of selections. really loved the chicken larb!
Nice spot. Easy parking. Enjoyed some innovative appetizers. Dinner (salmon) was excellent. My partner ordered a beef dish. He said it could have been a little hotter (spice wise), but he was the one that ordered it medium hot, so his bad. Nothing negative about the spot, but believe it was rate number 1 in town, and I would have a tough time rating it number 1, but a solid place for Thai.
Buena opción para disfrutar de la comida Tailandesa en San Diego
We love their food.
As previously stated on yelp, the barbecue chicken I ordered which the restaurant listed as one of their specialties was rock hard and very very dry. Judging from the appearance of the chicken, it is likely that the chicken was re-heated one too many times. Someone should be checking what is being served especially if the price is higher than most Thai restaurants in the area to ensure that quality of food is of the utmost highest compared to their peers. It was rather disappointing.
Our favorite Thai restaurant in San Diego, the best food and service. Try the Nom Ka Tod appetizer, the best!
Food is great and the portion of it was excellent. We had a few bags to take home. However there was limited parking. Ambiance is amazing! My friends and I had a great time to catch up. Our server is very professional too.
We were able to get a table during a busy convention weekend. Overall I thought it was okay. I think we ordered too much food and could have received better advice on this. My group was happy with the range (vegan, mild to super spicy, meat choices), so this was great for a varied group of tastes. It was very busy but did not seem hectic.
This is a very busy place, be sure and book ahead on open table. You may still have to wait a few minutes, but the food is worth it. Once you are seated the service is very fast.
Ambiance was wonderful and the authentic food prepared to our specifications! Many beverage choices as well.
The lady finger shrimp and lettuce wrap appetizers were very good. But the crab rice and the crab noodle entrees were not. The rice dish had no flavor and the noodle dish was average.
Everyone was friendly and food was authentic and incredible!
Great service and food. Would come back anytime!
Wonderful spicy seafood dish, mussels, scallops, shrimp, were cooked perfectly.
Service was excellent, definitely will return.
Very attentive service. The Drunken Noodles are the best. The BBQ chicken had great flavor but the white meat was dry.
