This place never disappoints! Superb service and food! Lobster ravioli is the best ever! Everything is authentic, fresh made, and flavors are beyond compare, to other Italian restaurants. Lovely to find outdoors overlooking the intracoastal, with live entertainment. A great atmosphere!
We have lived on Pompano Beach since November 2011 and in spite of having walked thousands time near by this amazing Italian restaurant , we never thought it could be a hidden gem!.
We finally decided to give it a try, and we still are remembering how amazing was our dinning experience .
Beautiful views, nice live music by an Italian piano player whom reminded me Barry Manilow, great costumer service by Max who was on top of every thing!.
The food, waooooo that was spectacular , delicious and the white wine as well. The chocolate dessert was amazing.
If you are in the area and would like to enjoy the best Italian pasta and food , this restaurant will please you 👍.
Thank you all for our memorable experience .
We will definitely be back sooner!.
Beautiful atmosphere. AMAZING food. Great service.
Food was very good. Service was amazing.
Excellent service, excellent food, with an intercoastal waterfront view. I was able to have my fish prepared to fit my healthy lifestyle preference. I will definitely go back.
Dined Saturday, September 25 for dinner. It was our first outing at this marina side restaurant on the intracoastal in Pompano Beach.
Our food was relatively good however pricey for what it was. We shared the antipasto board as an appetizer with our cocktails…at $21 it was well overpriced for what it was. Our main course was the fresh caught whole pompano (fish) and it was excellent but again overpriced at $42.
The service was excellent throughout and Geno was an attentive server.
The atmosphere is strange. We dined on the terrace which wasn’t very romantic. There is live music but one cannot hear when outside…a couple of speakers would help.
This is likely a better lunch or weekday evening restaurant rather than a date night venue.
We sat outside. We are fairly uptight about covid precaution. Most of the restaurant staff do not wear masks, but we were seated with a server who was masked. We were also given the option of sitting in a more secluded outdoor area. The management seems to be trying to cater to the widely varying health concerns of customers in a sensible way.
The food was excellent, as always.
Outstanding meal, music, drinks and dessert!
Beautiful night and Tim was excellent along with our hostess Nadia 👍👍👍👍👍
Great food, great atmosphere, great service, great music!
We couldn't find it at the beginning because it is on the 1st floor, but when we got there we were pleasently surprised. It's a nice restaurant with waterview. They have live music on Saturdays, people were dancing indoors. We sat outside because we wanted the waterview. Excellent food, my compliments to the chef. The service was friendly. I would definetly go back.
Hidden gem on Atlantic Blvd 1 block west of A1A. Restaurant is upstairs and you can dine inside around their spectacular bar or out on the deck overlooking the marina. Service is spot-on, totally professional yet warm and friendly. The hosts, Mario and Nadia, are from Milan and the restaurant reflects their wonderful style and commitment to quality. Their Sicilian salad is a generous serving with sweet juicy tomatoes and tasted the way I imagine it would taste if I were sitting on a patio in Italy. We also tried their conch and octopus ceviche. We have had dozens of ceviches in the Bahamas and Mexico and I have to say this was in the top 2 or 3 - one of the only ones where you can taste the fish more than the lime or seasoning. Just superb and extremely tender. We shared the eggplant lasagna, very hearty and satisfying, and the rice tagliatelle with pine nuts, raisins, and gigantic fresh juicy shrimp - a delicious dish though the pasta was a tad overcooked (easy to do with rice pasta). Very nice wine list with even their lowest priced wines well chosen. This is a great place to take guests and it would also be a wonderful spot for a party or even a small wedding. This was our second visit - the first time we came with a friend of the owner so we didn't do any ordering because he brought out a chef's selection. Everyone in our party was blown away by the quality, we just loved it all and that's why we returned. We certainly will be back now that our second visit was just as good as the first.
Great experience service was top notch. Menus had something for everyone.
What a hidden gem. The food is amazing 5 star quality and they had live music which was really good . The staff is so friendly and really make you feel at home .
I never write reviews but this time I had to. I learned from the restaurant owner that dining parties who make their reservations on open table are second class patrons! I arrived on time and checked in with the owner. We were a party of 6 and I had requested a table inside. She replied snidely how I was “the Open Table reservation” and then ignored me and sat other parties who came in after me! I stared her down until she couldn’t ignore us any longer when she advised that she doesn’t have a table for us inside and that she doesn’t guarantee inside seating. I remind her that her website states that they don’t guaranty outdoor seating not indoors at which point she dismisses me again. Finally she seats us inside in a charmless room off of the main dining room that had Xmas decor still on the table. Fortunately service after that was great but the food sucked - dried out lamb chops and bronzini, tasteless pasta and lousy coconut shrimp. The mussels weren’t bad though. But the live music was so bad that the staff we spoke to complained about having to work with that horrid noise. They had a singer - or should I say - screamer, who shouldn’t be allowed to sing outside of her shower. We left with headaches and later had upset stomachs. What a disappointing night. Won’t be back there
That’s the only issue. Music too loud due to being all tile inside the building. Turn down the singers microphone
Food and service were very good. Enjoyed the S African lobster tail with clams over the fettuccine. Presentation very nice, good buratta caprese salad. Drinks were perfect. Service excellent and predictive. While the singer was very good, the volume was very loud, too loud for many of my friends at the table. And, when he took a break, they had another staff person sing. There was almost no time we could talk to each other at the table. Sort of knew from the get go that this might be an issue, as our server’s voice (what was left of it) was hoarse. They need to decide if they want to be a supper club or a restaurant.
An absolute delicious meal 7 fishes over homemade pasta was excellent.
Tim our server was outstanding, Giovanni’s beautiful music and the scenic view of the sunset made the dinner an outstanding memory.
Thank you for a great evening Chef Mario and Staff⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The food was delicious as always and beautifully presented. We sat on the patio enjoying a lovely breeze along with the calming view of the intracoastal. Service was impeccable.
One of the best seafood restaurants out there
Eat in Sunset Catch often , usually very happy with quality/ potions of food. One of our party ordered the surf and turf special for $69, extremely high price, more than the tip steakhouses charge. The portion was child size. Tiny lobster tail, steak was tiny piece, maybe 3 ounces. Filled plate w French fries. Although it was good, it’s quite nervy to charge this much money on an appetizer sized portion. She was hungry after dinner., as she doesn’t eat fries and was not given a choice of sides. Highly unlikely we will be dining here again , as it is pure rip off.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere and great music!
Very nice BUT cannot go back. I am allergic to garlic and they are not accommodating. Not one vegetable without garlic. Limited dishes for me. I have no problem at other Italian restaurants. Good quality food but it is a shame they are not considerate for diet issues.
Great food, great service, great outdoor patio
Always a good time at Sunset Catch. Delicious food. Friendly staff. Live music (most nights). And that view. A lovely place to spend an evening.
Fantastic experience- from the amazing view to the amazing food!!! Started with clams in garlic & white wine- hubby got old fashioned meatballs. For the mains- I had catch of the day- Pompano stuffed with tomatoes- a la bruschetta with broccoli rabe!!! Nick got the 7 fishes- fra diavolo!!! Yes- like Christmas Eve!!! All was spectacular- by this time- I felt the urge to dance- so- I did!!! One of the waiters joined in!!! Going to try their brunch & be back soon!!!
Food was excellent, the server not so much.
Seemed like she was a robot.
No personality. Served my friends dish to me. After my friend explained all her allergies and items she can't have.
Food is always awesome. Music adds a nice touch and is so fun
Amazing service, food and view. Best tuna tartare and pappadelle porcini.
The atmosphere was great as well as the food. I would have rated it 5 for everything but this particular night it took 1/2 an hour before we were waited on. It was a noisy night as well. Overall we had a great time.
The food, service & atmosphere were outstanding.
Wonderful place. The Food is Amazing. The views The drinks The Music which you can dance to.
It was Our go to place all winter . Can't wait to come back.
The worst!! We waiting over an hour. The portions we small and over priced! Don’t waist your money
Service good, 2 entrees-1 pasta on the barely warm side while other entre yellowtail dish was hot.
Music inside too noisy and couldn't talk to person.
Eating outside was great! Super view and easy for dialogue.
Gluten free meal needs flavor very bland. Mario's Lobster Mac & Cheese is interesting and VERY good!
It fulfills its name - great place to catch the sunset - great food - great service - the live music wafting from the bar was, will, not what you would go there for but the food made up for it.
Our waiter Gino was amazing!!! Foot was delicious as always!
Always a wonderful experience. Delicious food consistently!
Very attentive waitstaff, delicious food. Had the shrimp scampi,- phenomenal. Veal chop parm special was outstanding! Definitely get the key lime pie, too! Cappuccino with rock candy stirrer 👌 live music and dancing, with a great view of the sunset. Will definitely return!
Great place live music on Thursday when we were there food was fantastic
Sasha was a wonderful server. Seated immediately, great outdoor space. Wife had the lobster Mac, very different, lobster tail on wide noodles in a Parmesan cream sauce-loved it. I had the Caesar salad with shrimp, somewhat lacking in flavor and the shrimp were “whimpy” and undercooked, lacking seasoning. Friends had surf and turf-excellent. Grilled octopus, bruschetta basket, and coconut shrimp, were wonderful. All-in-all a very good spot indeed.
