Fabulous night -great entertainment and the food was great! Everyone so nice !!
We have been enjoying Sunset Catch since it opened. We always have a pleasant experience there and we have made many referrals to Th Catch. If I could make one suggestion it would be to turn the music level down 2 notches. Usually we can not hear our friends speaking and I think that during dinner it could be just a bit lower. The music is always great there and we enjoy returning time and again.
The service was excellent. The food was phenomenal. Beautiful restaurant providing a great ambiance. The entertainer deserves a superior rating. I definitely will come back and will refer my friends
i sat outside the noise level was good. Came to go dancing. But the music wasnt really good to dance!!
the food was good!!!
Delicious food. Try the pasta in clam sauce. My husband loves it! I go with one of several shrimp dishes. Everything is good so don’t hesitate to try something new.
The atmosphere is relaxed, with many celebrations and good people and we usually end up talking to people seated near us. We have been going to Sunset Catch for years. Still good.
There was lively music indoors but they turned down the speaker outside which was where we wanted to sit anyway. It worked out well.
Great food and ambiance! Had a great dinner and first night in Pompano! Great start to great weekend!
Delicious food and great server
It was nice to sit outside overlooking the water but the inside of the restaurant was beautiful. We might do inside next time. We were so disappointed we missed the live band because we dined too early. My salmon was cooked as ordered and my husband enjoyed his platter of snapper, shrimp and calamari.
Dinner was amazing , view and service too and the live music superb
Beautiful ambience inside and outside. Full bar. Great, lively music. Fried mozzarella was an appetizer special and it was like no other I've ever had. Very light breading and full of fresh mozzarella. I also had lobster mac and cheese. Only Chef Mario Spina could make mac and cheese elegant!
Great decorations, atmosphere & friendly wait staff. I believe they would draw much more "locals" business if they reduced their price point on their food & beverages (based on conversations with local's opinions)...
Great entertainment venues!
Disappointing.. Arrived at 7:45pm and was seated right away, outside.. Perfect setting. As soon as we got settled and ordered drinks, the Manager decided to crank up the exterior loud speakers so that the “Michael Jackson Impersonator” who was inside could be heard outside! It was extremely loud and painful, and all conversation stopped. We asked our Waitress to have it toned down but she was apologetic and said the Manager wouldnt comply. It ruined the evening. We had to rush thru dinner to escape the loud blasting music. Within an hour, most Diners outside also left because of the loudness.
I love good music and even loud music, but not at Dinner. It seems this establishment couldnt decide if it was a Restaurant or a Night Club. That night it failed as both. Restaurant Managers should listen to their customers before they lose all business and become EX-Managers! Sorry fir the review but it needed to be said.
Consistently good food. The mussels are fabulous. The zuppa di pesce is savory. Pasta is done correctly every time! We enjoy the music and dancing. A relaxing, fun evening out near the water. We highly recommend it.
No reservation when we got there. Something went wrong.
Staff went out of their way to make our Mother's Day a special one. Service was fabulous, view was incredible, and the food was sublime! Don't forget to save room for the creamy gelato!
App was good, Caesar salad had too much dressing, entrees left much to be desired. Not a great tasting Filet Mignon, WORST lobster Mac’n Cheese ever. And for close to two hundred dollars for a party of two, I would expect better food.
We chose this spot for the final evening of our vacation because it was close to where we were staying and we wanted somewhere on the water. Honestly I couldn’t be more disappointed in our experience. The ONLY good thing I can say is that we had a lovely view.
We had a reservation and they sat us right away, but then no one came to take a drink order for 25 minutes. My boyfriend had to go up to the hostess and ask if we could be seen by a server, even though the server had come to the table next to us twice. She then, very nicely, told us that she would comp our first round of drinks. However the whole meal took over 2 hours and by the time we were asking for the check, the hostess had apparently forgotten that she had told us she would comp the first round.
The food took an hour and a half to get to us and the table behind us was so loud that we could barely hear each other at our own table. Overall the only good thing I can say is that the view was lovely and the weather was beautiful.
Poor service food took 1.5 hours to come out over priced slow service manager had poor attitude
All I have to say is.. EVEN THE FRENCH FRIES ARE GOOD. Says a lot about the restaurant, very cozy and welcoming loved everything about it
Amazing food with excellent presentation. The hostess and wait staff were very friendly and approachable. They offered a unique selection daily specials as well. Would definitely visit again.
The level of noise was a bit high due to a bachelor party, so I wouldn’t say it is maybe the usual.
Outdoor seating is really nice especially at sunset.
The food was good, not spectacular, so I think it was a bit overpriced. The catch of the day was extremely expensive and very dry. Seemed to be previously frozen instead of fresh...not the best choice.
The Branzino, in the other hand, was really good.
No valet parking and parking was like a block away in a municipal lot. For the price, this is a huge con.
Not sure if I would return having so many other choices in South Florida.
Great food! Cleanest restaurant I've ever seen, the kitchen is spotless! Been there over 25 times and will keep going back.
Amazing food and great service. View was beautiful and everything was perfect. Highly recommend. We LOVED it.
Enjoyable as long as you can sit outside. I would leave if no outside tables are available.
My husband got the Chilean sea bass. Said it was great but the portion was incredibly small for the price. He got it at another restaurant with an actual piece not chunks like at this restaurant just as good and filling. We don’t like to pay $35.00 for a meal and go home hungry. The spinach served with it was minimal no starch. Not a good choice. Service was great; except in the bar. This was our second visit. On April 21 we did not go into the bar because the first time we went the female bartender ignored us and was talking with other people at the bar. A waitress came in and waited on us after waiting 20 minutes (there were only two other couples at the bar but I guess the bartender knew one of the couples). We were charged regular prices while it was happy hour. Had to have it fixed. Not a great experience at the bar. Chilean sea bass should be a piece of fish. Not 4 small chunks. Someone should talk to the chef. Not acceptable
The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The food is always excellent. The band played a good variety and kept everyone on the dance floor. I've attached a photo of the Fritto Misto di Mare. I have never had a fried fish platter presented so beautifully!
The food was very good as was the service and ambiance. The only issue was how long it took to get our food. Our reservation was 7:15. We were seated promptly but we didn’t see any food including bread for 45 min. Our dinner was served at 8:40.. just seemed pretty long to wait . Otherwise everything was very good
Overpriced and food was overcooked. We had dinner there the evening before Easter. After we placed our order, we heard the waiter at the adjoining table telling his guests about specials that our server had not even mentioned. Our server was not impressive, did not really know the menu, and barely check to see if we needed more water or another drink. I had a fried snapper that had an incredible presentation but it was so over cooked that it was terrible. My partner had lamb osso bucco and the lamb was too tough to eat. We had eaten there once before and had a good meal so I don’t know if this is the quality of the restaurant now or the fact that they were preparing for a big day the next day. We shared an appetizer, each had an entrée, and had a total of three glasses of wine. No dessert. Our bill was $156 and this is not including the tip. This will not be a restaurant that we will return to.
70th Birthday for dad
The seafood here is very good, but it should be for the price. There was entertainment going on inside, a singer, so if this is the case when you go be prepared for it, and don’t expect a quiet night out. But we will go again for sure.
This restaurant served high quality innovative cuisine. Everything was fresh and well presented. The atmosphere had a bit of everything-- twice. It had high ceilings and modern sculptured wall surfaces. It had colored lights. It had mood lighting. Then there was the inner-ear damaging band. Good musicians mind you. Innovative treatment of Stevie Wonder and The Who. But a conversation stopper for sure, unless you count a shouting match as conversation.
One of my favorite restaurants! The food and service are always outstanding! And the whole fish Snapper special I ordered is perfection!
A good seafood restaurant should not serve coconut shrimp out of a packaged freezer box.
Our server, Christy, was excellent, she was attentive and answered all our questions. The food presentation was beautiful and everything tasted great. Two of us had Salmon and two had shrimp. The appetizers, grilled octopus and coconut shrimp were both excellent. It was a lovely evening and we enjoyed sitting outside and watching the sunset. We all agreed we would be back.
Decent view, and friendly service. Food quality was poor, especially given the prices charged. There is far better food available in the area, sans waterfront view.
Great restaurant – wonderful food and excellent ambience! They have live entertainment on the weekends which is a lot of fun. The restaurant is tucked away and a little hard to find being on the second floor of the building but once you get up there it is beautiful!
This was my 2nd time and loved the music (Elvis! ) and the food is great too!
Kens attentive and exemplary service added to 4 perfect meals. Ambiance was relaxed, elegant with a beautiful view!
