Food was very good ....not many people at restaurant....very good place to bring a romantic date...good music....parking is a bit of a hassle(be sure to ask where you should park because if you have to park across the street you are in the wrong parking area
There's a fine line between relaxed dining and server neglect. This was indifference on his part. My lobster tail was extremely tough. I could barely cut through it with my knife. I needed a steak knife. My husband's snapper was good. Will not go back.
It was “ok”. Glad we sat outside as the band was so loud we wouldn’t have been able to talk inside
Not expensive and nice view
Mother’s Day Dinner. Food so delicious and beautiful presentation. Service is always pleasurable and they go over and beyond to make you happy.
Tried on a recommendation. Parking a bit of a hassle. Very lovely second floor setting on the Intercostal and the restaurant was very nicely decorated. The service was great. The Bronzino special was excellent as was the Lobster Ravioli. A beef and veal in sauce was also ordered but was deemed just OK. The star of the meal was the Lobster Bisque. Could have been happy with two bowls for dinner! Overall a good experience. Would recommend and return.
Amazing food and ambiance! Highly recommend the whole snapper special
I was not prepared for the fancy atmosphere. I thought it would have been a little more casual.. However, we really enjoyed our experience. The atmosphere was pleasant. We were there on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was very slow. Our waiter was pleasant and helpful. The food was very good and moderately priced for what we ordered. The fried calamari was crisp and not greasy. I do prefer my calamari not as wide rings but they were good. The oysters on the half shell were sweet and fresh. My shrimp over rapini was perfectly seasoned as stated on the menu but the rapini was overcooked. My husbands fettucini with crab and scallops was excellent, great portion and presentation .
Had a great dinner with friends on Saturday night. Had not been here for a few years and it was as good as I remembered. The staff from when we arrived to when we left were exceptional and worked as a team throughout the night. Will be back before we leave in May
Server was very unhelpful - we ordered lobster which came with “roasted potatoes” and they were dead fried and hard - guest asked to change to mashed potatoes? Server said “no substations / if you want mashed potatoes it’ll be an extra $15!” Guest called the manager who graciously helped her - and I ne Er got my 1,000 points for open table even after temple bring the host! Where are my points? Overall lousy experience - restaurant was dead - ate at the bar - lobster was tough....going to Sea Watch next time.,,and have to call the restaurant yet again today to see where my points are!
Delicious, love the look, entertainment&service, we will go back
While sitting at the bar during happy hour, the owner told the bartender to have a female group of three move to the other side of the bar because there was a large party coming in. I thought that was slightly rude. I would have left.
We then took a table outside which was absolutely beautiful. The boats, the water, etc... the waiter sold me on a special, the snapper. It was dry and flavorless. The calamari appetizer was average at best, while the ahi tuna roll appetizer was very good but over priced.
Food was great. I had Bronzino and it was wonderful. This was our first time at Sunset Catch.
We were a party of 6 and sat inside. Next time we will sit outside as the view is beautiful.
We were there on a Sat. night and caught a great band. we danced all night. Only issue we has was the volume of the music. It was so loud we could not talk when at the dinner table.
I would strongly suggest sitting outside when there is live music and walk inside when you want to dance.
The attitude of the food newer and hostess caused us to walk out and never actually eat at this restaurant.
Sitting at the bar for a cocktail prior to dinner started speaking to owner about parking issue. He raised his voice saying not his problem. It stinks and he knows it but too bad. His car was parked in front taking up 2 spaces.
He continues to lecture in the parking which at that point I could care less.
The hostess insist we sit outside that I requested in reservation. UNTRUE. I have an 87 year old mother who is always cold and never sits outside.
She said she finally found us a table inside but in a back uncomfortable corner away from the entertainment. There were tables in main section but suppose to be all reserved. When we would not sit at corner table and said leaving a miracle a table in middle of restaurant opened up.
At this point we were so uncomfortable we decided to leave. The overall attitude was horrible.
As we leaving I mentioned I would write a review about the attitude and her response was “WHO CARES” and turned her back at me and walked away in the meantime the owner was following us saying things the whole time.
Other employees in restaurant saw the issue and stopped us and asked if they could help and make right as this was as not the first time this happened.
Why would I support people that treat customers abuses customers.
Sunset Catch is a lovely place with great food inside / outside dining. The food is well prepared and presented nicely. It is high/moderate in price but worth it. The place is gorgeous and I will return and bring friends.
Our waiter was not very attentive. She came to our table a few times and said “oh I’ve gotta go they are paging me.” Our drinks were empty, even water, we had to flag her down. When we asked if we could have the bread she said, “okay I’ll bring you ANOTHER bread”. We pointed out we had not had any. The atmosphere and food was good. Probably would have enjoyed it more with a waiter who wasn’t distracted. She did not give us the feeling that we were important to her.
Double date with dear friends.
They loved it as we always do. Great food, service and music. We will be back soon.
The seafood is very good. The meatballs were also very good. We were surprised by how good they were since it is a seafood restaurant.
Awesome lobster Mac and cheese. A whole lobster tail on top. Outside seating is pleasant and we could hear the live music from inside. Not overwhelming perfect night
Restaurant in nice location over intercoastal. The food was good, took a long time to come out. Service was not so good. Waiter was not attentive and we had to wait long periods of time to get service. The service is what makes a dining experience and it was not good.
We enjoy going to the Sunset Catch to celebrate special occasions. The food and service is great and we love the view. We always try to sit outside when the weather is nice because the noise level is low and you can enjoy a conversation during the meal.
Class place outstanding food and service great presentation and decent pricing
Wonderful as usual!
Keep up the great work...! 😇
Great food, great service, great view outside, great time!
Once we found the restaurant (the parking we found is across the street and opposite end of the building), we enjoyed ourselves. The view was sunset over the inter coastal- lovely. Actual decor is a bit dated and maybe kitschy with interesting lighting. Our server was terrific.... it was nicely paced. We enjoyed the appetizer. I wanted something light so our server suggested the branzino, grilled, served over arugula. It was really good!
Très mauvaise réception : impossible de savoir par ou il est préférable d'arriver. On nous laisse poirotter dans la salle principale et personne ne vous indique ou on doit se présenter ou s'il y a une hôtesse.
Lovely setting! As with most nicer restaurants, a much slower pace. Most entrees have seafood...only a handful of non-seafood/fish dishes. Food was very good.
Always wonderful food and service. Menu has something for everyone.
The Lobster Mac and Cheese is phenomenal!
Desserts are excellent oo!
Nice setting sat outside on waterway. Food is good pretty expensive though.
on Vacation from NY if you want a taste of Italy Food was amazing great price the Studio 54 Band was great danced all nite people were fun everyone smiling the staff were very accommodating and couldn't do enough and pretty place great Date place older crowed a nice place to relax get dressed up feeling Entertained MARILYN
If only the food was equal to the view. This place is visually great both inside and out (it's on the second floor of a Marina overlooking the Intracoastal waterway by the Atlantic Blvd bridge) but we were not as impressed with either the food or the service on this visit. It took a long time for our server to get to our table and the food was acceptable but nothing to get excited about. If making another visit, I'd go for drinks at their very attractive white and blue lit bar.
We were pleased overall. The staff was stressed with multiple larger parties but worked together to ensure we were taken care of in a timely and courteous way. Loved the lobster bisque. The Shrimp Meraviglia was delicious.
Birthday and anniversary
We arrived for our reservation for a birthday celebration. We were seated and then ignored for 20 minutes....no water, no acknowledgement, nothing. I asked the manager if we could get some water and he very rudely told me that they’d get to it when they could...we almost left. Our server was painfully slow...all night it took forever to get anything, and he wasn’t attentive to everyone at the table with drink refills at all. The food was excellent, although incredibly overpriced, even for the area. Would not recommend, and won’t go again.
With the exception of the owner's wife trying to move us because they wanted to give somebody else are table, and not only tried once but twice. Our server was very slow and very unattentive had to keep flagging him down for drinks took over 45 minutes for the food everything was just not as good as it first was when we visited the first two times. All in all an average McDonald's type of night...
Great happy hour and dinner
The deck has a beautiful view of the intercostal. Perfect place for a cocktail, appetizers, and drinks.
The menus was a delight, seafood with an Itilian flare.
Everything is beautifully served, and the flavors were delightful. Some of the best lobster bisque that I have ever had. I also loved the fried zucchini with the marinara sauce.
The staff was friendly and attentive.
I will definitely be visiting again.
Food wasn’t up to our expectations. The pasta wasn’t fresh-homemade. Desserts were the best.
Disappointed in amout of food they served. We ordered meatballs and grilled artichokes for appetizer for 4. They gave us 2 meatballs and 4 PIECES of artichoke. 4 small bread slices also. We ordered fradiavolo and arribiatta. Neither were spicy but the portions were good. Being Italian I didn’t think the food was that great. Also $192 tab. No drinks. 2 cappuccinos completely different sizes.
The restaurant was below ok. Not sure why it has the ratings it does. The food is so below par we should have stuck with blue moon. The place was dead. The plates we had made us both sick. Everything is creamy or fried. Will never go back. Now let’s talk about the decor...tacky. How on earth do dolphins, swordfish and sharks can survive with peacocks is beyond me but that’s how it is there. Makes no sense. Looks like a tacky revival of the bad part of the 80s
When we arrived I was not impressed. Looked like an older crowd and I was not expecting good food. I was very pleasantly surprised when food arrived. We had the grilled artichokes as an appetizer. They were outstanding. We both had the homemade fettuccine for a main course. I highly recommend trying the homemade fettuccine. It is served many ways. Give one a try. I will definitely go back to this restaurant.
