We dined in the Sunrise Cafe. The venue was nice (resort), the food was buffet brunch and while it was presented nicely it was average at best, behind Waffle House in our opinion. Worst off it was $150 before tip for 2 people that was not disclosed at any point. It was a high priced resort rip off. I can live with the price but the food was worse than Ihop.
Wow!! What an amazing time! Made reservations for 4 for Mother’s Day and it did not disappoint. Wonderful food, atmosphere and our wait staff was very attentive and professional. It was truly an amazing experience.
Buffet was amazing
Never having been there before, we decided to go for the brunch for Mother's Day. As it turned out, they only offered a buffet. They did have an omelet station and did offer shrimp and roast beef. The rest was the usual premade breakfast items with what looked like store bought (scant) dessert items. Not very impressed for $75/person with drinks extra.
Wonderful atmosphere and view of ocean. Food was great and brunch offerings were varied and appropriate for all ages. Fish tank under the bread table was one more wow factor and kids loved it.
The entire experience including the view was amazing. Our server went above and beyond to make sure we had everything including a hand mixed spiked coffee.
Breakfast was delicious but pricey. How can anyone eat $30 worth of breakfast items? Service was good.
Overall good. Wish there had been a few more options like they had pre COVID
The food and ambiance were spectacular; yet the staff were so unbelievably welcoming, attentive and truly made us feel how much they appreciated us being there.
We had an excellent Easter brunch at the Sunrise Cafe. The food was outstanding, there were many choices and the service was exceptional. One companion had numerous allergy questions related to the buffet and all were answered promptly and kindly, and one server even brought out an item specially made without the allergen. We sat on the patio with a spectacular view of the ocean. The only downside is it is expensive, but we knew that going in and it was well worth it for this special occasion.
It was Easter Brunch. The service was great and the food was even better. Especially the Shrimp and Ham. We will be back for Mother’s Day.
Excellent. I would recommend to anyone who like healthy to traditional southern breakfast.
We met at the Omni for their breakfast buffet. They offered a variety of foods on the buffet as well as the omelet station.
Food was expensive, and dreadful. No different than breakfast at Days Inn.
Service was fantastic, from our server to those who helped make our plates at the buffet. However, the food was less than stellar. Scrambled eggs were more like an overcooked block of egg. Pancakes were tasteless and stale. The overnight oats were both sticky and dry - needed a lot more milk/liquid to absorb overnight. Loved the single servings of fruit in little mason jars, but the strawberries and blueberries were overripe. I am usually afraid I'll overeat at a buffet; however, this time, I was still hungry!
Food was amazing. Service was spectacular. Actually priced well for what you get. We will go back again.
Sunday brunch with my sweetie, doesn’t get any better than this.
Hostess did not honor our reservation to be seated outside. When we asked to be seated at a free window table we were told it was reserved, and seated at the back of the restaurant. The entire duration of our meal the table by the window was empty. Our waitress was great and food was good. We spoke with the manger before we left and he was understanding.
Had an appt at 10 am. The potatoes and the grits were cold. Food not restocked. Ran out of guacamole.
Allen is the man. Went across the resort to get my wife a chocolate cappuccino. Great buffet for the price! Went all three days during our stay and would definitely recommend!
Lovely view of the beach and ocean. Nice dining room though it is, in my opinion, getting a bit dated. Buffet has most everything on the menu but is at the far north end of the dining room ( a bit of a walk if you are at the south end, outside or mobility challenged). We could not sit outside as it was a very windy and cool day. Waiting for an omelet when crowded can be frustrating to those with limited patience.
All-in-all, food was good, scenery was beautiful and the cinnamon rolls are outstanding.
Fresh innovative food
I highly recommend the Sunrise Cafe. It is a great start to the day. The buffet is amazing and well worth $28.
The parking lot was torn up and no easy directions available. When dinner was over we asked waiter how to get out.
The Christmas brunch at the Sunrise Cafe is an event my family looks foward to all year!
We had Joseph for our waiter, friendly, personable, efficient. He was attentive without being intrusive and made the dining experience extremely pleasant. The buffet was very good , my only disappointment was that there was no roast beef, which I was aware of by reviewing the menu but still missed. We went at 11am and will be there again next year.
Beautiful setting and great food as usual !
Loved it ! Will be back again for sure !
Buffet was extremely messy with spilled food everywhere. Most dishes were empty or little food in them. No control over kids and adults at buffet, people were touching food with there hands and leaving it on the buffet. Very unsanitary.. I will never come back and will not recommend it to anyone. Our server was very kind that’s about it.
We enjoyed the breakfast buffet! And Donnie the omlette chef makes a very tasty seafood delight:). We will definitely go again.
Seriously...one of the best breakfast buffet on the planet. Unique, interesting, and classic..all in one. Hard to describe how fun and delicious this place is...service is over the top, friendly and warm.
Lots of fun buffet choices
This is a good place for breakfast, I recommend the buffet. Thank you.
Shanique Was absolutely wonderful and so helpful. She was kind and made wonderful recommendations.
Really wonderful buffet and Christina, our server, did an excellent job helping make our meal special. Best breakfast I have had in a long time and it was definitely worth the effort of dealing with the Omni security. If coming from off the Omni property, reservations are required
We went twice during our 2 night stay. Food was excellent! Highly recommend.
Breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. A little expensive but typical for a resort. Paper straws great but not with thick smoothie. Our waitress was extremely slow, pleasant but slow
Breakfast buffet is wonderful!
the service and food were outstanding. Buffet was great.
