You should have indicated that it was an$75pp fixed menu brunch on Sunday. Being surprised at the table and having no other option was a big disappointment. The food was good, but the situation wasn’t handled properly.
Sundy House is a funky little spot, best for brunch but dinner was pretty good. I’d go back for it’s unique ambiance and garden.
A beautiful venue. The lush landscape made a wonderful setting to enjoy a Sunday morning.
This was our second trip to Sundy House after having a wonderful meal and experience the first time as a couple. This time we went with friends and were so pleased they loved it as much as we did. Staff was excellent and the food was totally delicious.
Anniversary dinner at 6pm in cold weather, so only the indoor room was available and suitable. Slightly noisy due to table of 6 celebrating a wedding. Ordered dinner special of 12 oz. strip steak with spinach and potatoes and the beet salad, both to be shared. Salad was tasty. Steak was more well than medium and my half had so much grizzle I didn't want to continue eating it, plus the two sides were sparse, considering there would be a $7 sharing charge. Eventually the waitress got the manager to come out. He offered a different choice or a new steak. We chose a new steak cooked more medium and with larger portions of the sides. This steak was cooked right, and again one half was full of grizzle. The sides were a reasonable portion. Everything tasted very salty. The rolls and wine were okay. We lost our appetite and so, didn't order a dessert. The $78 bill had written on it "Happy Anniversary".
Food was amazing had so many great options and a beautiful place to ring in the New Year! Wonderful staff too! Looking forward to going back for the Sunday brunch and cabana nights!
Four of us were celebrating NYEve with dinner and dancing. We had a set menu which cost $150 per person without drinks. The portions were very small. Most of it was tasty, but not exceptional, except the short rib which tasted reheated. We waited for some good dancing music so we could dance a little, but realized there was nothing worth staying for. The band was poor, so 2 minutes after midnight, we left.
Went for New Year's Eve dinner. Rather disappointing food and service. Ambience is always nice. For the price paid, expected much more form the place.
This was a return visit because the first visit was memorable and enjoyable. We were very underwhelmed this time. It just wasn’t what we remembered. The service was just okay. The food was pretty ordinary. The gardens and atmosphere were pretty but seemed neglected compared to our previous time. Out of 10 I give the restaurant a 5 overall. It just seems to need a bit of TLC and to step it up in all areas.
Wonderful anniversary dinner. Highly recommend! Beautiful setting, wonderful service and very good food
