Opened in 2017 The Sun Dancer restaurant is positioned overlooking the Moray Firth.

Well known for the quality and presentation of our food using only the freshest and locally sourced produce and renowned for our expertise in crafting and presenting our own in-house and classic range of cocktails.

                                      Incredibly disappointed. We’d booked a meal for six in order to celebrate two birthdays (one 18th) and two wedding anniversaries (one 60th). No mention was made at all of these occasions by staff, despite being informed a week in advance. We ordered starters and they were ok, we did enjoy them. However we then waited a very long time for our main courses and when they arrived were bitterly disappointed. Four people had ordered the Sunday roast and every single one was cold with congealed gravy - they had obviously been plated up early and had then sat under a hot plate until the other two meals were ready. The other meals were a chicken kiev and fish and chips. They arrived with overcooked Parma ham and ‘refried’ chips which, for the cost was pretty poor. The waiting staff were very apologetic and couldn’t have been nicer, and we did get the drinks removed from our bill. However, as this was such an important occasion for us all it was such an incredible disappointment.

                                      The Sundancer has good food but a stunning setting, which is what made the overall experience a good one.

                                      We absolutely loved this restaurant. We were lucky to get a table at the window and the views were amazing. The food was so delicious. The haggis Bon bins were to die for then our mains were superb my wife had the Thai curry was so delicious. Lovely wine to compliment the food and good service throughout. We finished with coffees but no sweet due to being full. Nice ambience to the place, very relaxed atmosphere, beautiful choice of food and nice friendly service.

                                      The restaurant itself was lovely, the views were great too. However the food wasn’t what I’d expected. I had gotten the roast beef, the veggies were raw, the Yorkshire Pudding had been forgotten and then when it was brought to our table it was burnt. The garlic ciabatta bread was just the same as subways, portions quite small, wasn’t impressed.

                                      Very disappointed with the food, I ordered the seafood linguini, I basically had a packet of linguine with 6 moules (two of which were under size), 3 king prawns and where the smoked salmon was I have absolutely no idea but I did get two bits of green stuff £26 really! It wasn’t tasty just an overwhelming taste of lemon. My husband ordered the steak for £36, I have bought better in a supermarket and as for chunky chips they were more oven chips. The peppercorn sauce saved the day. I don’t understand with all the low reviews over the couple of months they haven’t improved. The chap who served us was fantastic.

                                      It's gone downhill faster than an Olympic skier. Used to be decent quality food but it's now greasy chips and small overdone burgers. Received vouchers for fathers day and was initially excited about going. However, as similar reviews by others. 45mins even for the while you wait bread to arrive. Drinks finished well before that, no service to request top up, had to request table to be cleared, not offered teas/coffees, mussels and chips!!!! Wtf, kids food was as is but burger was small. Mussels serving was very small going by usual mussels servings and two were not fully opened...no chance was I chancing those. Since Cru took over its very very poor. We won't be going back. It's a school cook in the kitchen as no way can it be a dedicated professional. Great view though but I can get that for free sitting on the benches outside.

                                      Terrible food and very slow service. I ordered the rib eye - medium rare and it was tough and not worth £36! The toffee pudding was stale and way overcooked. Service was very slow. The only good thing was the view. Better off getting fish and chips on the beach.

                                      We had a lovely meal at a table with a beautiful view over the sea watching the dolphins bobbing about then a beautiful sunset. The meal was fresh and 1st class, will definitely be returning.
