Lindo lugar, con mucho ambiente. La mesera que nos atendió (Melissa) se notaba que sabía muy bien el menú y nos hizo muy buenas recomendaciones. Definitivamente vamos a volver

The restaurant was very warm honestly, it was hot probably around 80F+. The air conditioning must have been broken. My party of four was literally sweating from the moment that we sat down. It made the entire dining experience very unpleasant. The music was also ridiculously loud that you could not hear the person sitting across from you. I’ve been a Sunda customer for more than a decade and have been to the Illinois location 50 times or more. Unfortunately, this was not a good dining experience.

It’s impossible to get a bad meal at Sunda. Everything we ordered was outstanding (first time trying the Bulgogi tacos and they were out of this world!). 10/10.

Staff needs to be trained better on how to fire food, the tables are small especially if you have two of the tea sets at a table for two, they are beautiful but the infuser and its liner wood takes too much space. Once you have shishito peppers and edamame server must read the table top and fire food accordingly not to overwhelm the table. You were out of warm sake and management was unable to identify the next sake in value and accommodate the request, instead they chose to lose the sale and say no to the guest (us). Support staff was amazing cleaning and maintaining the table-top clean. I might be wrong on this one but I enjoy shizo leaves on my sake nigiris, I ordered and expected a full leaf per nigiri, instead I received a half leaf per nigiri which gets lost in the vinegar of the shari. However my biggest disappointment is that for $6 for a leaf of shizo, two halves is that seems like you changed from japanese shizo for calufornia shizo which is less aromatic and less sweet when compared to the japanese one. I know it might be off the top but for your target demographic the guest notices these small details and they cheap out the brand. When you cut servers off the night they should not get to go BOH to do sidework or cashout as they miss the last table (us) needing to order more food. Need to sharpen attention to detail but overall great attitude and good experience. We are fans and repeat guests so this is more constructive for management rather than a complaint. Hope it helps and take it with two grains of salt.

Always a great time. I brought the wife here for her 51st birthday and it was absolutely amazing. Our server was personable and knowledgeable and took care of us.
