Sunda Ratings and Reviews
The Food was good and fresh. the service was very good . the biggest issue with this place is that they are VERY EXPENSIVE.
I dont expect avg prices, their price point deserves to be somewhat up there but my GOD they are milking everyone.
This restaurant is purely a cash cow for the Rock Ranch empire. they prey on all the wannabees' that frequent this place and they will gladly pay the money for the people scene. The food was good but for the price go to ROKA across the street.
I usually love this place, so maybe it was a bad day for service. The restaurant wasn't crowded so you would think the service would be impeccable, but it was lacking. It took close to 15 minutes for the servers just to bring a drink menu. Then after we ordered the drinks, it took another 20 minutes just to make them. I enjoy Sunda for sushi, but the service was lacking and the servers seemed to have an arrogance about them. We ended up going to Hub 51 for a second drink and later RPM Italian to order more food because we didn't want to hang out at Sunda any longer.
It was our 22nd anniversary. The food and service was amazing. My only complaint was the atmosphere was extremely loud. My wife and I highly suggest this restaurant to anyone. We just might not have chosen it for a romantic dinner (which I should have known had I done my research).
We LOVE the food, but it was too noisy to talk to people at the other side of the table...overall excellent though. One of our guests ordered her own meal rather than wanting to share family style...and it came out the absolute last thing, which was very awkward for her....that was the only part that was not great....
Sunda is busy, Very busy--- like loud and crowded busy. But thats because everyone knows the food is so amazing here! The menu is huge and everything sounds amazing. You will quickly find plays on your favorite flavors jumping out at you begging to be order. For me thats buzz words like "miso" "Pork Belly" "lobster" even "bone Marrow" and "toro". Its hard to decide on what to order and you will surely be wishing you had room in you stomach to try just one more dish. Sake menu is delightful. The service staff are true professionals at what they do which bring an ease and relaxation to the chaos of the busy restaurant swirling around your table.
I went to Sunda for my birthday and was treated exceptionally well by all the staff. Service here is impeccable and the food is excellent. Signature rolls are often overloaded with unnecessary sauces (and mayo) but the one I ordered was perfect. Their vegetarian options are also outstanding.
We had a wonderful time at Sunda this past weekend. My husband and I have been there many times before but this is the first time we brought our kids with us (teens) and they loved it. We had a great, very special family dinner. The food is always good at Sunda, but what really stood out this time was amazing service, particularly by the one of the managers, Alex and our server, Abby. Looking forward to our next time back...
We came in way earlier than our reserved time for brunch but the hostess was super nice that he seated us right away anyways. Our waitress was amazing she was very knowledgeable on the menu and all her recommendations were a hit! Try the crispy brussel salad and tempura French toast, phenomenal..! Overall we had a great time there and will be coming back.
We love this place. We have dined there many times. Food was not up to par this visit. Sushi rolls were good. New York strip steak was excellent. Shrimp dish, lobster noodles, pad thai, and brussle sprouts arrived not even warm, disappointing. Dessert was good.
