   Thoroughly delightful. As usual exceptional cuisine and impeccable service in a charming peaceful atmosphere. We had a wonderful memorable meal. Thank you so much!

   Their ability to highlight fresh ingredients and intense flavor is amazing. We especially loved the uni and tofu duo, sausage on brioche and egg tart with salmon roe. Our n/a drinks were super tasty, as was the shiso ice cream. Super friendly chefs and staff. A new local fave for sure!

   Each dish was a lovely surprise- so thoughtfully prepared, balanced, with wonderful textures and plated beautifully. Several of them were real treats that we do not regularly get- Santa Barbara sea urchin, Taiwanese sausage, Monterey abalone. The twelve course meal was more than ample and included 4 desserts! (I think an extra was due to the fact that we were celebrating a birthday.) A packaged olive oil cake was sent home with each patron. A nice way to extend the lovely meal to the following morning. You would not find this restaurant unless you were deliberately looking it. The venue is very small and charming. Everyone greeted us upon entering; likewise, everyone came to say goodbye and thank you when we left... akin to a VERY upscale mom and pop restaurant.

   Excellent experience and food. What a lovely intimate location with outstanding creative fresh food served with perfect execution and flavors. This is a long and somehow non-exhausting tasting menu, and I looked forward to every dish. Even the desserts were spectacular. Top it of with amazing sake options that pair with the food.

   This has to be one of the best restaurants to come around in 10 years. Not a bad dish was served. Some truly creative dishes that were always focused on flavor.

   Fantastic dining experience. The entire tasting menu was fabulous and so creative. So glad to have a culinary experience like this in Oakland. Highly recommend without reservation. Worth every penny for this exquisite gastronomical experience!!!!

   Special meal and experience. Every bite was thoughtful, delicious and beautifully presented. Service was relaxed and felt very personal, in a good way. I loved everything about it.
