The food was great and the scenery matched well with it. The waitress was very kind and took her time explaining what was on the menu. My date and I really enjoyed eating here and we will definitely be coming back!

This was an off night because service was extremely slow and everyone was disorganized. Other patrons just got up and left. We've had great meals and service here before but not tonight.

I made reservations for 7:30. We got there a little early and we were seated. Crystoria was our server. The service was horrible that night. We placed our order at 7:07 and we still had not received our meal at 8:05. There were several couples that came in after us that were seated and had received their food. According to our server, there was some confusion going on in the kitchen. I am not sure what kind of mess was going on, but other servers ensured their parties were served. We had to eat cookies that the hostess was so nice to get from the kitchen. We never received our meal. The manager came over to talk to us and offered a free appetizer. We declined! I told my boyfriend that I was ready to leave at 8:17...Needless to say we never received our meal and the manager was no help... We will not be visiting again!

Everything was delicious. We particularly enjoyed our appetizer, which was spicy crab spread with corn on empanadas. My short ribs were cooked perfectly and my husband enjoyed his BIV burger, which was topped with diced jalepenos; he said that it was good, but definitely hot! Ordered a triple lemon cheesecake slice to take home. Glad we stopped by this cozy, neighborhood cafe.

The service is always a bit slow, but we waited 30 minutes for our wine! Food is good, deserts are just ok.

I keep trying to like Sun in my Belly, but this was my fourth time dining there, and again, I was underwhelmed by both the service and the food. I like a leasurely meal, but don't like to be ignored. We had a reservation for a Friday evening; the restaurant was busy, but not full. After being seated, we waited for over 10 minutes for someone to bring us water and greet us (I started timing after the first five minutes). The waiter was initially very enthusiastic when he took our order. Then, we started to wait. For everything. We waited 15 minutes for a bottle of beer and glass of wine. The wedge salad we'd ordered finally came. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. The green goddess dressing it came with was delicious. We then waited for another 20 minutes before someone took the empty salad plate. My salad plate and empty wine glass sat in front of me for another 30 minutes. Servers kept passing us by, but nobody stopped or came to check on us. Someone finally filled our empty water glasses; a server asked if I'd like another glass of wine, but didn't ask my husband about a beer. Someone cleared my plate finally. My wine eventually came. Our mains came out almost an hour and ten minutes after we sat down. My husband ordered the fried chicken with mac 'n ' cheese and greens. The chicken was juicy and had a good crunch, the flavor of the mac, and cheese was really good, but it was dry and the cheese and noodles fell apart. The waiter had won me over with his enthusiasm for the veggie special, which was reported to be an eggplant "lasagne" with strips of eggplant in place of noodles, and a side of broccoli raab (the best part of the dish). It came out as crunchy, undercooked, thinly sliced eggplant (more like pappardelle noodles) that had been tossed with a chunky fresh tomato sauce, and topped liberally with parmesan. The over-riding flavor was raw garlic, which over-rode everything else. Food quality: inconsistent. Service: indifferent/not engaged.
