Poor service, cold miso soup, incredible cold in the restaurant! When we arrived the staff was vacum cleaning...
Nice dinner ! Very good service. Will be back for the brunch !
Overpriced for the size of the portions
I honestly don’t understand why anyone would come here. The food is mediocre at best! If it wasn’t for the £80p/p minimum spend I would have left after the first dish.
The cocktails were good if a bit overpriced. The staff were friendly but kept pushing us and ultimately asked us to leave as the table was now needed. Given only 3 tables were occupied, this was slightly off-putting.
Food is very average (from italian menu) and the portions are tiny. The gnocci tasted like it was made from dolmio sauce! Its another restaurant where there is all hype around the name and location but no substance. It looks like an old ladys living room inside! The lounge isnt open apart from Sundays so there is no where to go after eating as the bar is tiny. The crowd is 70% girls, mainly on their social so mind you small food portions would go unnoticed. This restaurant is trying too hard to be the next Bagatelle getting their waiters to shimmy round and build up hype so people dont notice they are eating food that potentially could have been a microwave meal from Tesco. On the plus side its open till 3am if your looking for somewhere to eat late as London places usually close so early. Also our waiters were really nice so cant take that away.
Yum yum and more yum! Can’t say any more about this trendy place. It was a bit empty for a Saturday night and we spent a lot more than we anticipated but the foooddd. My god! So good!
The food was ok nothing special and expensive. They put me in an empty space when downstairs it had live music . They ruined my first night in London.
Lovely place , nice music , but the food not worth it
Waiters kept giving us wrong orders, no one was helpful, food was not as good as I expected.
I had been waiting for my main dishes for more thank hour and half ..
I had been waiting for food after I finish my starter 1 hour and half without food !! I get really annoyed
Seems like more service people than guests. Music playing just any styles available, annoying. Food is OK. Zero atmosphere.
Love it ..especially on weekends after 10 PM
Great food, relaxed atmosphere and thank you to both the waitress’s for recommending the dessert from Naples. Amazing
They kept me waiting 30 minutes to prepare my table..
We enjoyed our meal although somewhat disappointed at the lack of gluten free options on the Japanese menu. Have never been to a Japanese place, let alone one at this price point, that wasn’t able to accommodate gluten free. The food I had from the Italian menu was good, but still disappointed that I couldn’t have anything at all from the other side. Plenty of other places where the chef prepares the food separately without gluten, or gluten free options are ready to go and available. Was very surprised by this. Drinks and service were all good. Ambience was pretty good. Enjoyed the live band. Would probably come back and give it another try.
Pushy waitstaff, crazy prices, good food.
Good good and ambience , however service was not exceptional. They can surely work on their service. For the kind of money you pay , you deserve better service.
It’s such a shame the night got off to such a bad start by having to wait over an hour for my table. The food we actually received was very tasty but then told the kitchen was closing so couldn’t eat anymore, the service after we were finally sat was very good, shame about the rest.
Very nice restaurant with a nice interior for groups of friends!
I don’t think I will go again nor recommend this restaurant. The staff were not friendly at all.
The food is below average, very expensive compared to others!
Antipasti molto buoni. Roll poco saporiti e basici, al pari di qualsiasi all you can eat
Food was outstanding. Atmosphere is nice. Service was OK. The biggest put off was the waitress. At the end of the meal, she brought the bill(~500£) and then complained about how little she paid and asked that I please give her an additional tip. I really don’t want to be subjected to that at a nice restaurant.
Since the new arrangement of staff the standard and quality food is back!
The waitress was so rude
Poor service which is completely unacceptable with ridiculously high service charge of 13.5%, very disappointing food being a poor version of Zuma or Nobu style dishes, completely overpriced even compared to its competitor restaurants. Extremely disappointing experience to say the least!
A bit expensive but tasty
A Japanese fusion not exciting
We had a family dinner with some overseas guests. The good and service were good, but it is ridiculously over-priced.
Next to our table, peoppe were smoking electronic ciggarettes which had a really bad smell (like burnt popcorn). I told our waitress two times to ask them not to smoke anymore and she never did so they continued to smoke. I never experienced this in a similar restaurant and i am very dissapointed. Also we were there for an occasion (bday) which was flagged and notbody cared. The food was OK but the problem was the smoking....
Celebrating a birthday
Average food, meh service, absolutely no value
Great birthday celebration, delicious food and good service
Family and friends together
Average food. Very expensive ,good service. Bad receiption service
Very poor crowd. Extremely sleazy. They clearly have no strict requirements as to who they let in
Great food. Very good wine list.
Sumosan Twiga is definitely a meeting point of London’s high society. The music is quite nice and it’s a good spot for people watching. However, the prices are exorbitant, which would be one thing if the food was outstanding. However, the sushi is merely average and the rolls are very very small. The staff is not very nice as the restaurant tends to be very busy, they don’t take time to chat and rush next to your table all the time. The ambience is not very nice.
