Limited menu. Food excellent. Noisy
Great food, nice atmosphere but hard to get a drink! First drinks didn’t arrive until after we had nearly finished our salads. Second drink didn’t arrive until dinner nearly finished.
Excellent service and I mentioned that I like soup to be hot, and my soup came hot which is very rare even when I ask for it.
We all had a bowel of the soup and each of us loved it. The polenta was smooth and tasty. I will return and my friends agreed it was a great choice.
Great atmosphere but very pricey.
The dining experiance was good food was good but very overpriced for the portions. The average mix drink is between $12 -14 dollars wine list fair.
Very nice restaurant. We had brunch on a Sunday but I can imagine it must be very nice. Highly recommending it
Overall, our experience was good but the main courses were delayed and when they arrived, my vegetarian plate was lacking. The waiter helped the situation by getting a grain added but it seemed that the restaurant forgot our food and then when they remembered, they rushed to pick a vegetarian plate together that came out like a salad.
Excellent food and service, but tables are close together in the front room and it was a noisy atmosphere for lunch conversation. We didn’t have cocktails, so “value” rating was based on food only. The carrot and ginger soup and the roast beef sandwich on sourdough bread were delicious!
Wonderful menu, delicious food, friendly service, great ambience — perfect place for a date or night out with friends.
It was busy. That was aggravated by the system of separate waiter & servers and led to non-delivered appetizers and a long wait for the check. The waiter tried his best to compensate... and we may still return at some point, but the impression wasn’t great.
We were celebrating a 50th Birthday. Our serve was incredible—-//she put together a dessert platter with candles and made everything very special. Thank you!!!
Fantastic food and vibe.
Sat near the kitchen and got a great view. Food was excellent. Pete was server, he was very friendly and knowledgeable and worked around our dietary restrictions. Overall it was a great experience. 10/10 will be back for another meal.
Whiskey Sour was amazing!! Exactly the way my great grandmother made them. Salmon was delicious and risotto starter was as well. Always a wonderful meal and impeccable service.
Creative menu with a great server -Jane -a excellent destination for a dining experience
The entire staff made us feel welcome. Service was not rushed, yet not hurried either. We were there for a retirement lunch and the complimentary glass of proseco was a nice touch.
Service and food were top notch. Wish there were more restaurants like this!
This restaurant never disappoints! The cocktails are always inventive and great. The Vesper is my favorite. The Coriander duck ham, goat cheese and salmon tartare starter were all fresh and delicious. Every entree we ordered was better than the other. They are always fresh and the mix of ingredients never fail. The dessert(carrot cake) was a perfect ending. Thanks again for another amazing meal!
Tables near the kitchen are the best!
Great waiter and delicious food.
Absolutely love this place! Not only is the food fabulous - creative and tasty- it is a true gem visually. The service was professional with a touch of warmth and sincerity. Bravo!
The crew that runs this place are top notch. Very accommodating and genuinely want everyone to have a great experience. The food is unique and very flavorful. The scallops and and other fish courses are excellent as are the appetizers.
I was given a gift certificate for the Summit House. Made a reservation on OpenTable during the week without a problem. When we arrived the hostess tried to seat us up front in the bar area. We asked to be seated in the back of the restaurant where there are tablecloths & is wide open to the kitchen. Since my husband & I got dressed for the occasion it was much nicer. Don’t get me wrong the bar area is very lively & with a crowd it would be fun. The service was off the charts. Very attentive & loved the Hot towel between courses. We ordered oysters & mussels. Since I was eating the Oysters I only ordered 3 They came out with 3 different ones & 3 sauces. They had already placed a small spoon & fork on the table, which I loved. Appetizers were delicious. My husband ordered the pork chop which was cooked to perfection. I ordered the pasta appetizer which they scaled up to a main & offered to add shrimp. The shrimp were great. Pasta was good but thought there were to many flavors & it promised a broth but there wasn’t any. I would definitely recommend the restaurant & will go back but will order a different main.
The Summit House is a nice restaurant. It would have been better if the hostess and server made us feel welcome. The Good - outstanding food and drink, a very nice ambiance - both make me want to return. The Bad - I made an 8:30 res on Open Table. Several blocks away at 8:30, leaving a nearby meeting, I got a call from the hostess saying that the kitchen closes at 9:00. Why they offer a 8:30 and 8:45 res on Open Table given the kitchen closes at 9:00 is beyond me. When we arrived hostess was at best perfunctory. At 8:40 server greeted us perfunctorily as well and delivered the same news. The feeling I got from both of them coming in, dining, and going out is that neither wanted us as customers and they were more interested in ending their shift. I get it. Despite that, I'll definitely try Summit House again to see if the less than cheerful service was only a one-off at night's end.
Beautiful modern chic restaurant with all the ambiance, food , creativity and level of service you would get at a Manhattan hot spot! Bravo! My go to place when visiting the area!
Excellent food and overall dining experience. Great service
Superb in every way...my third visit and second dinner here was an event to be savored. The service is second to none, attentive but not overbearing. The food is cooked to perfection, and the variety of the menu makes it hard to choose just one entree or appetizer. Plus the place just feels comfortable. A tad noisy, but worth the visit every time.
It was great!
The raw bar clams were clean and delicious, shrimp cocktail nicely cooked, a simple but delicious cocktail sauce. Risotto perfectly cooked, with well-seasoned, seared scallops on top a hearty but not heavy lunch. The ice creams were amazing: sour cream cherry was outstanding, chocolate chocolate-chip excellent and salted vanilla was tasty (I preferred them in that order). Service was great, so overall my associate and I had a wonderful lunch experience.
As a diner with multiple, severe food allergies, Summit House always goes out of its way to make sure I have a delicious and safe plate. Love this place!
Brunch was amazing. I would highly recommend the French Toast and the yogurt with berries.
This was the second time that my husband and I visited Summit House. We were there for the first time in August. It does not disappoint, and was even better than I had remembered . This was the first time at Summit House for our 6 friends, who are well-travelled and accustomed to dining in NYC. We were seated at a corner booth near open windows, which was just perfect for our group on a lovely fall night. We started with a Medium Raw Bar Sampler (there were 8 of us), some cheese and charcuterie, including the burrata special. Scallops, Chicken (it's delicious with roasted fennel) and Salmon entrees were all excellent. Everything was so fresh -- I love places that use seasonal ingredients and change up the menu accordingly. There wasn't a speck of food left on any plate, and everyone was very impressed with the food and choices at Summit House. Our server was knowledgeable and very pleasant, but the bar was very busy, so drinks and refills took a while to arrive at our table -- that would be our only negative comment, but that won't stop us from returning!!
Booked this for our 3 year anniversary and it couldn’t of been better. The waitress to the manager made sure we were enjoying our drinks and meals ensuring a great time. Will be back for sure! Food was also outstanding and the hand made cocktails were also just as good. 10/10
We frequently dine here with friends , always fun and enjoyable . This time celebrated my birthday with my family , as usual the food was delicious , but the service went beyond our expectations , Cesar , paid special attention to all our needs and the candle with birthday treats was much appreciated ! Look forward to dining again , also special mention to the hostess who never forgets ones name which is so welcoming ! Thanks Summit House!
It took over one hour from the time we placed our lunch order until we received our food. Even then it was overcooked and when I reported our experience to the manager the only thing that she said was that she was sorry. It was an expensive and disappointing Lunch and I don’t need to go back between the food the wait time and the managers attitude.
We had a delicious dinner. We shared 2 appetizers and 2 entrees between 3 of us and they were nice enough to split the entrees on the kitchen. The salmon and steak were both delicious—the French fries were amazing!
It was great
Nice ambience. Love the decor and vibe. Would like to see little more varied salad options
Always a treat. The ambiance is a comfortable elegance and it had a great buzz for dinner. The food is very good, and beautifully plated.
