Outstanding, phenomenal, delicious meal
Food tasted great. Limited menu. The staff was excellent. Great beverage choices at the bar.
Neighborhood favorite bar and restaurant, centrally located with a really good ambiance. Menu is fresh and varied. I particularly love the small plates for sharing or just choosing a variety of different flavors.
The food and cocktails were fantastic but they ran out of ingredients for one of their most popular cocktails which I love, so that was disappointing!
I like Summit House, the ambiance and service are good and the food is always delicious.
Love the food and drink at Summit House! And the staff is always friendly and helpful. The noise level was a bit high but it depends on when and where one sits. Highly recommend!
The Summit House was a wonderful experience, from the time we entered the establishment, until we left. Highly trained and professional staff, warm and welcoming.
Still one of the best restaurant in NJ! Great for
Casual get together or celebrations!
Absolutely fabulous food, very creative and spectacularly delicious. Wonderful oysters, too. Slightly inexperienced server didn’t communicate as well as would be expected, but service overall was very good.
Many missteps in service. Not the server, but the manager. After 45 minutes, my white wine was finally presented warm. My entrees came before my appetizers. I was told they would prepare fresh appetizers once my wine was chilled. 30 minutes later I was served a dried out octopus briquette and was lied to my the manager that is was fresh despite receiving it 30 seconds after declaring the wine was chilled sufficiently. The manager was so awful we had to ask her to leave our table. I was much better off with the server who was professional and honest. In the end the bought our entire check which was more than necessary. I’ll go back for one last attempt. But hope to never see the manager named Pinocchio
Food was excellent. Service terrific. Try the banana sorbet and chocolate dessert!
Celebrated a friend birthday and it was great! The wait staff and decor are both wonderful
Always a favorite from the buzzy front room to the capable, friendly wait staff. Ambiance, creative food and a great bar make for a perfect night.
The food was lacking in taste. The mushroom risotto in particular was sub par.
My husband and I went for our anniversary. I'll start off and say that the food was delicious and we loved everything we ate. We also loved our waiter. What we didn't love was being completely rushed. They brought our entrees out before we were even done with our appetizers. I'd expect more from a restaurant like that, especially for the price you're paying.
Everything was fabulous!!!
Ordered soft shell crabs and scallops. While you could taste high quality of individual ingredients, crabs were well prepared but extremely oversalted and scallops were overcooked.
Great meal here supervised by our excellent server , Julian.
First time here- was good but not outstanding. Had to ask for bread which was a little annoying (I waited to give them plenty of opportunity but our first course arrived and they still hadn’t brought it). Had to ask for our water glasses to be refilled, also a little annoying. Food was very good, but my husband’s dishes (bucatini and the pork chop) definitely needed salt- no salt or pepper is on the table though. Nice space, though very loud which could be an issue for some. We enjoyed the food but weren’t blown away and won’t be rushing back, but it’s worth a try.
It was great!
Victoria could not promise to be able to accommodate our table request since it was a same day reservation, but said nicely that she would try. She delivered in a way that was above and beyond and our party enjoyed a great all-around experience in the beautiful dining room of SH. We appreciate Victoria’s professional manor and willingness to make an effort to honor our request. We will be back!
The space is neat and beautiful. The service was impeccable. Our waiter Robert was amazing. I enjoyed the local draft craft beers. My entree of mushroom risotto with seared scallops was the best ever. We even received a nice surprise, complimentary delicious sorbet dessert. A perfect place. We will be back. Soon.
The Summit House was one of the BEST restaurants that we have visited in awhile! The food was incredible, the wait staff was impressive, and the atmosphere was fantastic! I can’t say enough good things about it!
Love the ambiance, the whiskey sour is my favorite cocktail by far and the cheese is phenomenal. Thanks again for a wonderful business meal.
Took my daughter for a special evening. We sat overlooking the kitchen, a really fun experience. Our server was wonderful: personable and accommodating, going above and beyond what was needed to make our dinner enjoyable. Food was excellent on the whole. We shared three appetizers, of which the frisee salad was outstanding. Also outstanding was the duck rondon. The only disappointment was dessert, a pear and cranberry tart which needed a little zip. Dessert was less than stellar the last time I was here as well. Aside from that, however, it was a memorable and delicious occasion.
Celebrating a special anniversary but champagne was room temperature and a damper.
They got one entree wrong and one person in the party had to just wait.
They did however makeup with complementary dessert.
I had no idea how outstanding this restaurant would be. My wife and I were fortunate to have a table facing the open kitchen. Superb food and service.
Above average food
My manhattan was not good
Ambiance is hip chic
Not sure that the pork belly really works with the scallops from a flavor or texture perspective. I eat at your restaurant a lot and love the food but would take a look at a new approach with this dish.
Great ambiance! Tricky menu and pricy. However, the food was delicious.
The food is fine, but very average. Feels a bit like some of the nicer upscale places in the area (Serenade, Stone House), but simply not as good.
Great service. Food outstanding
Meal was exceptional. Service was outstanding.
Great service, excellent food. Good cocktails.
Sunday Brunch offers a fun set of food and beverage choices. One of the best cubano sandwiches (panini) I have ever had. Yum! Delicious coffee too.
Summit House is a wonderful restaurant in every aspect- ambiance, food, cocktails and service!! The food is innovative and excellent. The staff are truly engaged and want you to enjoy your meal. The cocktails are so much fun. This is a great dining experience but also relaxed and not at all stuffy.
The food, drinks and service were amazing. We were seated in the bar area and it was a bit loud. Other than that I would definitely return.
We were celebrating a special occasion, and the wait staff made us feel very special!
The skate in beurre noire was perfectly cooked . We also had the octopus starter and this was nicely executed as well. Wine accompaniment, a burgoyne from California was a great complement, and recommended by our server. The only drawback w as s rhe noise level due to all the hard surfaces which made conversation difficult
Overall we would highly recommend this place and plan to try other menu items
