Today high above the hustle and bustle of North Orange County, like a crown on the hilltop, you will find built in the tradition of an English country manor the stately Summit House Restaurant.
The Summit House, renowned for its magnificent panoramic views and old-world charm, is famous for the amazing flavors and incredible food presentations created by Executive Chef Timothy Plumb’s culinary team. Highlights include our world-famous Stockyards of Chicago Roast Prime Ribs of Beef, “melt-in-your-mouth” oak wood grilled USDA prime steaks, our thirty-year favorite sautéed John Dory, locally grown vegetables hand-picked from neighboring Back Sheep Farms, and of course our famous creamed corn au gratin.

    Our family were absolutely pleased by our delayed Mother’s Day dinner at Summit House. Even though we have been going for over 30 years, this time stood out even more so. The staff was patient with my elderly mother who moves slowly. Our server Daisy was delightful, personable and patient. It helped us navigate being able to bring our mom out to dinner and celebrate her. The ambiance was great, even after the restaurant became busier. The food was fantastic as always. The Summit House proved once again why we come there for all of our major holidays and celebration meals.

    Nice place to have a good family dinner on Mothers' Day! Food is always good (a little on the expensive side), but the service is always great!

    This was the WORST experience that we have ever had going to The Summit House for over 20 years! Will be contacting management tomorrow. Thank You Summit House for ruining my Mother’s Day!

    Always a great experience coming here and bringing my wife here for Mother’s Day was no different. We were seated on the outside patio which has a wonderful view although a bit breezy today. No issues though. Still had a great time and food and service were top notch!

    We went to Summit House for Mother’s Day. Felt that food was very pricey for what we received. We paid $70 for Prime Ribs that was really thin and was a bit overcooked. Only one of the 4 that we ordered was cooked according to the requested temperature. The service was great, but the rest of the event was not up to par. Being a Mother’s Day event, there was absolutely nothing that reflected it. It was simply and overpriced brunch because of the occasion. Would not return again for special occasions.

    This was my first time at the restaurant, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The food was absolutely delicious, and the ambiance was beautiful—elegant yet welcoming. Our server, Luke, was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The live pianist added a wonderful touch and made the evening even more special. I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!

    Spent a Monday evening here to celebrate my partners birthday. The staff did excellent. They had a birthday card set up on our table with all the staff members signatures. Just little things that make a difference. Thank you for a wonderful experience and the delicious food.
