Today high above the hustle and bustle of North Orange County, like a crown on the hilltop, you will find built in the tradition of an English country manor the stately Summit House Restaurant.
The Summit House, renowned for its magnificent panoramic views and old-world charm, is famous for the amazing flavors and incredible food presentations created by Executive Chef Timothy Plumb’s culinary team. Highlights include our world-famous Stockyards of Chicago Roast Prime Ribs of Beef, “melt-in-your-mouth” oak wood grilled USDA prime steaks, our thirty-year favorite sautéed John Dory, locally grown vegetables hand-picked from neighboring Back Sheep Farms, and of course our famous creamed corn au gratin.
Whether it be an intimate get together for two or two hundred of your closest friends, come to the “Top of the Hill”, the Summit House Restaurant, "Your Special Occasion Place".

    We Were Celebrating My Dad's 89th Birthday~ We Ordered A Shrimp Cocktail And Ahi Tuna Sashimi~ The Ahi Tuna Was Amazing!! Everyone Enjoyed The Wedge And Caesar Salads. We Had The Special Sea Bass , The John Dory And The Prime Rib~ All Items Were Delicious. Our Service Was Great! Our Waitress Was Daisy, She Did A Fantastic Job`I Will Definitely Ask To Be Served By Her Again.

    The prime rib was perfect, as usual. The servers were attentive. Some of the furniture in the waiting area and chairs for dining need a refresh. Ripped and dirty sofa. My dining chair was too low. But the Summit House delivers a delicious meal. The views are also pleasant. A nice place for a special meal.

    Great service from Michelle! Something you’re hard pressed to find in modern times. Our anniversary dinner was really special with a great view. Food was fantastic too!

    The service was fantastic. However, the food expectations were not met. The prime rib was horrible chewy probably the worst I’ve ever had there. I’ve been to the summit house many times and know the owner personally. I think they just got bad prime rib that’s why they even discounted it, but it wasn’t worth the money paid for. But the ambience and the other meals were fantastic.

    We took the last reservation of the night - 9 pm - which proved not to be a good idea. We are regulars so know it was not up to par. Our bread were all ends of the load - likely typically used perhaps for making croutons and the entree look a bit “tired.” The waiter asked if we were there for a special occasion - which we were - but then never acknowledged it again. We were charged an additional plate fee even though one of us ordered soup and salad and tge other a main entree. This has NEVER happened before - very disappointed overall as this is our go-to celebratory restaurant.
