Summit House - Fullerton
The Inn keepers of the Summit House were inspired by the custom to create a hospitable place where friends could meet to eat, drink and delight in the views of North Orange County's countryside.
To one and all, welcome!

The Summit House is a special occasion restaurant. The service, the menu and the ambiance are all outstanding. We asked for a booth in our reservation and we were given one even though people were clammering to get in on a Sunday evening. We split the wedge salad and both had the salmon. Wine list is terrific. Because it was a birthday, we were given an English Trifle for dessert. If you live in the north Orange County area or beyond, you must try The Summit House.
Great view, great service, varied menu and tasty food.
Did a great job helping my wife and I celebrate our anniversary!
The service was phenomenal, nice touched for special occation dining experience. Food was great, wish there was a little less fat on the meat but overall an excellent restaurant:)
Excellent food, and service! We took clients from New York and they loved it!
The Summit House is beautiful. The food is awesome. Customer service is above reproach. We were there for my husbands birthday dinner and the staff was wonderful. A little load, next time we will sit on the south side by the windows to over look the city lights.
Outstanding experience, halibut was the best I’ve ever had... everything was perfect
First visit for dinner. Very nice experience and tasty salmon.
Noah was quite attentive to our request/needs.
Anniversary dessert was delicious.
We will be returning for another dinner occasion.
I’ve always love The Summit House. However the quality of the food has gone down. For the price, I expect better quality food. The service and ambiance was still great though.
Nothing else to say but awesome. Our server Noah wea fabulous.
Excellent service and great suggestions for our dinner. Never felt pushed to leave and we were with friends we hadn't seen in a while so we were there for almost 3 hours. Highly recommend.
Excellent in every way. Perfect for our anniversary.
Food was great. Service was good.
I had requested for a table with a view in writing & I even called in to make sure they receive my request. I didn't get my request. Tables are close to each other that it's quite noisy. Can't hear the pianist playing.
Disappointing, considering it's supposed to be a classy restaurant. Ordered the sampler appetizer & were handed with cheap disposable chopsticks! Seriously? Service was impeccable though. It's our first time so I guess expectations were quite high.
Jennifer the server AWESOME
EVERYTHING ANOUT THE RESTAURANT WAS PERFECT
I always enjoy going to Summit House for special occasions. I usually get the prime rib with the creamed corn, creamed spinach and Yorkshire pudding. I have been there for both lunch and dinner and the food and service is always excellent.
Always Stellar! I can always count on service level being outstanding when entertaining
family or friends.
It was very busy when we arrived, and we had to wait about 15 min past reservation time. When seated we had to wait a long time and finally I asked for some water and menus. The waitress then came over and said she would be with us shortly. Once food was ordered and came, the restaurant thinned out and we had better attention. Steaks were good and the view is lovely. Salads and accompaniments are ok, but you are really here for the views!
As always, the food and service were outstanding!!! Jordan was our server, and he was on top of everything!!
Our reservation was scheduled for 7:30. We were not seated until 8:15. The hostess did apologize sincerely for the wait. But it was the waitress who ruined it. “What drinks would you like?” No hello or Good evening. She nearly threw bread on our table as she passed by. Food arrived fairly quickly but was warm, still delicious but warm. She offered sauces for our meats like she was stamping passports, very “This is my job and I don’t like it”. Waitress was tall, with blonde short hair and greenish glittered nails that distracted every time she put or nearly threw something down. Kitchen was very busy due to huge event in their ball room. Coffee was excellent and water glasses were always kept full, we could hear the pianist in the bar and he was excellent. Dessert was sub par, a lemon tart that only mildly tasted like lemon and was a greenish color. By the time we walked out the valet looked exhausted and was sitting next to the keys. We sped off, not sure when or if we will return.
It was our 2 year Wedding Anniversary. We received a card signed by the staff and complimentary dessert. We love this place and it will be a anniversary tradition. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness. We look forward to seeing you again.
Went recently with a friend. We both enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and great service. We shared the crab cakes appetizer, and each had the Summit House Prime Rib (10 oz). We hope to return very soon.
Service was slow, I have an expectation at higher end restaurants to not have to ask for another drink or have my water filled in addition the food was just ok. I don’t see myself returning
Always a great experience. Server Joel is the best we’ve had anywhere.
Our first visit, our 31st anniversary, great food an ambience. My wife and I both enjoy prime rib, yours is one of the best we’ had. Really enjoyed having a drink and appetizer in the bar area, also enjoyed the piano player. Overall a great way for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary. We’ll definitely be back.
waiter George was the best. Friendly and always with a smile. Received the table I had requested
It was my Fiance's first time there and he definitely enjoyed it. I enjoyed my dish as well and the service was Great. Beginning from the Host, to the Bartender and our Waitress. Thank you for a very Nice evening!
The sevice, food ,and drinks w er e excellent as always. Trish was excellent as was Charles. Thanks again...
Had a wonderful evening with a fantastic view. The food and presentation was impeccable as usual. Thanks for another great dining experience.
The food at summit house is always up to par and the services is never disappointing. Love their summer wed night specials as well. They take care of their customers and the food is always amazing. If your food isn't amazing they will redo it for you without questions asked. The best prime rib house that does everything else well in OC.
Quality of food was excellent, all guests were impressed with the flavor of their meals. The server was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. A brief walk on the premises was a nice highlight- the city views were great! We noticed the outdoor patio and room for private events. We’d love to host an event there.
We have been going there three years in a row now to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Primb Rib and lobster tail are just delicious!
Good food, nice ambiance but very pricy. Food for 3 was over $250
Love it here. This time around, however, the cut of beef was too thin and our waitress disappeared halfway through our dinner and didn't return until we were done with our dinner and dry on drinks.
Great food great service. My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time walking around the restaurant. Beautiful view. We really enjoyed our time at The Summit House. The employees made us feel welcome.
We went there for lunch during restaurant week, $25, with cocktails, tax and tip lunch for 4 was $200.
The soup and salads were great. Three of us had their Lobster Roll which wasn't what we expected. It was some lobster and shrimp stuffed inside a small square roll. The way it was presented was difficult to eat and the taste was just okay. The Prime Rib sandwich was a hit and we would recommend it.
Service was outstanding which made it a very enjoyable lunch. We all said we would come back again, but try something else to eat. Their Prime Rib is the star.
Wonderful experience! Food is amazing and the staff is very friendly.
I made dinner reservations via OpenTable and mentioned that I was bringing my wife to celebrate her birthday and requested a table with a view.
I was really surprised when the young lady who seated us acknowledged her birthday on the way to the table and was again surprised to see a card on the table which simply stated "Happy Birthday". I am sure they would have included her name but I didn't mention it on the reservation request form.
The atmosphere, food, service and view from our table fully exceeded my highest expectations. Everyone was very friendly, our server couldn't have done a better job and kudo's to the kitchen staff for a beautifully prepared meal.
I and my wife both agreed that a return trip is imminent.
Everything was perfect. We were seated immediately loved the valet service.
Server was not great that was the only problem.
Best French dip sandwich ever experienced. Crab and shrimp roll outstanding.
