Only giving 3 stars for service because the restaurant was understaffed and how food/drinks took much longer than expected.
This is no reflection on our server... she was friendly and doing the best she could in a bad situation. Restaurant overall is to blame for the service rating.
Our server Kyle B was pretty amazing! Thanks for a great experience.
A great place overall. Last time there were a few little misses, like the celery and carrots with our buffalo wings were past their prime.
Great food and drinks! Gladstone location is so beautiful and so convenient for our family.
A most enjoyable experience! We will be back and will refer our friends!!
Good drink and food selection. Nice ambiance. A little noisy but no worse than what most rest. seem to be these days. Service was good. Have to make a reservation though if you want to take advantage of their Happy Hour, which BTW is quite good. Practically a meal in itself.
Had a wonderful server, Josh B, that made our experience great!
Great new northland spot. Parking can be a challenge but food and atmosphere is quite nice!
Birthday brunch. It was fantastic!
Josh was terrific and made our dining experience so wonderful! We will definitely be back!
It’s such a cute restaurant. The decor is elegant but Subtle. I had the seafood Mac and cheese. It had good flavor but the shrimp were like popcorn shrimp. Really tiny. Drinks were great as was Meghan our server.
Food and service was good..house wine was a little expensive at $6 per glass but, over all a good place to eat.
Went to Summit Grill for a birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint. While the prices are higher than I am use to spending, you get your money's worth. There were a number of things on the menu we wanted to try, but we decided on the Mahi Tacos and the Pork Chops. Both menu items were amazing. We will totally go back for special occassions.
Decent restaurant for the Northland. We had a 7pm reservation, but had to wait around and then inquire again, when we would be seated.
Very good food. Kind of cramped seating. Great service. Pretty pricy.
Great food and nice atmosphere. Our waitress, Kristen, was fantastic - super friendly and attentive! Definitely try the chicken fried chicken, but leave room for dessert. The carrot cake is amazing - and I don’t usually even like carrot cake. We will be returning soon.
Very nice: food was good, nice ambiance; seating hostess seemed to be annoyed. But everything else was great
Best ribeye ever!!! I have a picky husband and he also loved the food.... Drinks were pretty good too!!! We will definitely be back...
Food was great, had the Brie appetizer and grilled chicken salad. Abby was our waitress, very friendly and attentive.
Being our first time there, we were really impressed with the size and decor. It was pretty busy. We had reservations for 7pm, but we only had to wait about 5-7 minutes before a table was ready. Everything was really good. The only bad thing was that we got our appetizer before our drinks. I ordered wings so I expected our drinks to get there a little sooner. Other than that, everything was great. It may be considered a little pricey, but it was well worth it. I’d highly recommend it. I hear that happy hour is the best time to go as far as prices go.
Summit Grill is an outstanding establishment. It is right up there with Trezo Mare in both quality of food, atmosphere and an upscale establishment. The Northland area lacks a lot of upscale establishments that can be reasonable priced, a quality dinning experience but also feel special. Summit Grill hits on all three while not breaking your budget. The three restaurants in the Northland area that do not disappoint are Trezo Mare in Briarcliff, Kozaks in Smithville and the welcome addition of Summit Grill in Gladstone.
Messed up on the blackened salmon salad. Service was very slow that night. Mac and cheese was just ok. Server messed up
our bill up. When we first sat down told him twice one bill. He gave us two.
Service was slow. It took 20 minutes fir our spinach artichoke dip to come out. Our entrees were delivered less than 5 minutes later. We added something else to our order which never came at all. We finally told our server never mind, paid the bill & left. Food was outstanding however.
We love having Summit Grill north of the river. We have been numerous times and have loved each dish we have tried. My favorites: hot chicken sandwich and the blue cheese crusted sirloin steak with crunchy smashed potatoes. The hummus appetizer is exceptional. Would highly recommend--and have recommended to many family and friends. It was my choice last year for my birthday celebration with family.
Everything was great except the two pesky flies were continuously distracting and annoying. We were indoors.
I was surprised by how nice and trendy the restaurant was. The service was good and the food was as okay. I felt like it was a bit pricey for the quality. The wine also seemed more expensive than similar restaurants.
The front is crowded and too noisy which is why we always request seating in the back room so we can talk without yelling
Creme brûlée runny and lacking flavor. Reuben, while the corned beef was extremely tender, it also lacked flavor. Not busy on Fathers Day but server, while very polite, seemed rushed. Very loud. Expected much better with all of the positive things I have heard from friends. Terribly disappointed, high prices and meh everything else.
We went on Father's Day. Our appointment was at 2:45. The restaurant area was only about one third full but our table was not ready. The table they seated us at essentially blocked traffic to the empty part of the restaurant. We were even asked for our drink or water order until I went to the front desk. Then we finally got our drinks but our request was incomplete and again I went to the front desk. Our water and tea were not refilled without a request to an employee walking by. We finally were assigned a very good waiter but he was already working on the bar side and did the best he could. The restaurant was out of prime rib dip! At 3:00 on Father's Day! My husband and I will probably return BUT I WILL NEVER INVITE ANYONE.
When the restaurant opened service was amazing. But we always sat on the bar side. Is this all they care about?
Our server was very nice, but the kitchen was very slow, even for Father’s Day. I liked the app for reserving a table, and the place wasn’t overflowing, however, as I said, we waited a long time for our food.
Only our second time to go, but the food was good. It was Father's day, but our food took over an hour to get from the time we ordered. 3 tables around us that came in after us had their food and were eating and we were still waiting. The Waitress finally came by and said "oh you don't have your food, i'll check with the kitchen". I did get another drink. She did have a table of about 20 she was working with. (3 of us). It was still about another 15 mins.
BUT it was Father's day, and the food was good, our first visit was great, so we will try it again.
Been there over a dozen times and experience gets worse. In fact, after the last time, and waiting over an hour for simple brunch food, I will not go back.
The place has a great atmosphere, modern but not cold decoration. Food totally outstanding, delicious. I will be going back.
We went there for a birthday dinner. The food was really good, the ambiance is good, slightly too noisy in the bar area and the young lady at the reception area was very hard to understand . Our waiter Brandon did an excellent job and overall i would recommend it to anyone
The happy hour here is outstanding! The food was great and the portions large. Entrees are a little pricy but overall I left full and happy.
My wife and I really enjoyed eating at Summit Grill for the first time. Our food was delicious and the service was good too. We will be coming back soon!
Great atmosphere, food was good. Clean bathrooms and clean restaurant. My only complaint, Spinach and artichoke with no pico?! Who doesn’t serve pico with Spinach and artichoke?
Very stylish restaurant with a large separate bar area. Good happy hour specials. Delicious menu options. A little expensive, but nice for a special meal.
Food is always awesome! There is sometimes a little wait time, but recommend making reservations.
Food wasn't as good as when the restaurant first opened.
