Many, many times we have enjoyed this facility. We reserved and scheduled our Christmas dinner on Sunday at 4. After being seated we all ordered the roast beef. "None available". What? Why did they seat us without disclosing foods not available? This dampened our celebration.
Summit grill is a great place to eat. The service was amazing!
We arrived at 7 checked in for our reservation at 7:15 we were not seated until 7:45 at a table right by the freezin door. I called a day ahead for these reservations. Was very disappointed how the hostess handle this.
Have been here roughly 3 times, and it hasn't been a disappointment
The food was excellent and served quickly. Server was attentive enough... Parking is tight - hard to find a spot.
As always, our meals were delicious & our server was very good. She listened to the fact that we needed to rush slightly & handled our needs even though the restaurant was very busy.
I recently had dinner here for the first time to celebrate my son's birthday.
The service & atmosphere was great. The food was very tasty!
I will go again in the future.
Great food and service. A neighborhood haunt and relaxed atmosphere
Went to Summit Grill for a date with my husband on a Saturday evening at 7pm. They were very busy and had to wait a little past our reservation and food took a little longer. The service was so great from hostess to servers, it was all worth it! We had the Rye Smash mixed drinks ( I believe is what it was called), which were great! I loved my dinner, the cheesy grits with andouille sausage!
The restaurant is great with the exception of the noise level. For this class of restaurant it's way too LOUD!
Limited “winter” menu was disappointing. Some of us wanted a smaller meals. Prime rib was cold and when asked to heat up still came back cold. Salad was just iceberg with 2 slices of cucumber not worth the price. Traveled a long distance to meet family and dine there. Won’t be back.
Bar area was ok. Our food was very bland. I had salmon and my husband had a steak. It had no flavor and we had to add salt and pepper to get flavor. The light above our table hadn’t been wiped in a long time and had a lot of dust webs on it. Was not worth a $80 bill. Won’t go back.
Great food and atmosphere.
Love the food and drinks. The only reason I would mark it down at all was they messed up one of the orders but corrected it right away with no issue. Love everything about it and will always be a favorite.
I loved dining at Summit Grill. The hostess and servers were pleasant, the food was excellent, and the place was clean. Would definitely dine there again!
We opted to go out this year for Thanksgiving. We had never done this before. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Will do this again for future Holidays!
We were there for Thanksgiving but the restaurant was not that busy. We were seated on time but waited an hour for our food. When our food arrived the two that ordered turkey said it was not hot and then there was a bug on my plate. It made for a less than stellar experience.
We’ve made this a Thanksgiving tradition. Great food and service
Our waitress was very flustered. It was very busy and she seemed overwhelmed so we didn’t get the best service but she was ok. It was just we were celebrating a birthday and at the end it the waitress just said “here’s your dessert” and then ran off. But we still had a nice time.
Great food (We had the chicken fried chicken, and the grilled salmon), the service was great. The noise level was a little high. The only drawback was the price. We were there actually because we had received a gift card. We have been there many times in the past, even before it was Summit Grille, when it was Everett's. Don't know if we'll be back at these prices. There are just to many good restaurants in the area that are more reasonably priced. 2 People, $70 without tip, 1 drink each, no dessert.
always good food, nice atmosphere, warm and inviting
Service was very slow. Evening special was not available and no accommodations were made on replacement order. Chicken fried chicken was mostly breading with thin slices of chicken. Mashed potatos were way too salty. Dessert was not brought to table without the bill being paid first. Overall service, food, price unacceptable.
Food was great. A good variety of food. Service was good too!
As always, our lunch service & food was great.
Food has always tasted great and excellent service.
Nice atmosphere, great service, good food, fair prices. Everyone in our party of 4 was pleased with their menu choice, especially my daughter who loves their pot roast and was the catalyst for our attendance. I spotted shrimp and jalapeno grits online, but alas it wasn't a menu choice at the Lee's Summit location. Maybe next time.
There were four of us. For the most part the food was ok, except for the chicken in my husband's salad. He said it tasted like it had been cooked on the grill with fish and he doesn't like fish. He didn't like it at all.
I looked at the menu on-line and it had several interesting items. When we got to the restaurant the menu was entirely different. I didn't even see a steak on the menu. It was totally different than when we had eaten there before and was actually a pretty boring menu. We had guests from California with us and were disappointed in the menu.
We've been here several times and have always had great meals and service.
Our birthday celebration dinner for my 84 year old mother was a great choice for a small group. We will be coming back again soon!
We come here all the time but our last visit was pretty awful. First we sat at the bar while we waited for our reservation and we were ignored by both bar tenders for almost 15 minutes. Finally one came over to help us and apologized for the wait. We got a few drinks and then finally seated. We waited almost 10 minutes before our server came over. No introduction or anything just asked what we wanted to drink. We brought our drinks from the bar but asked for waters. We ordered our food at the same time which was great because we waited another 20 minutes for the water to show up. She dropped off the waters and a roll to each of us and left with no comments. After another 20 minutes she stopped to pick up our roll plates and said our food should be out. We asked about our appetizer we ordered and she said that would be out too. Our appetizer came about 5 minutes before or dinners which were brought by someone other than our server. Not once did our server stop by to see if everything was ok and it wasn’t because my sides were cold. She finally showed up and asked if we wanted to-go boxes and I told her no since my sides were cold. She said, “O, they were cold,” and walked off. No apology or anything. After another 10 minutes she dropped the bill of and as she walked away said, “We didn’t charge you for the appetizer.” Still no applology or anything. I wasn’t wanting free food, I wanted a hot meal since I paid $35 for it! We waited another 10 minutes for her to pick up the bill and bring it back before we could leave. We waited around to find a manager and there was another person lingering around trying to find the same server to pay his bill. He said she was terrible as well and they were sick of waiting on her.
I still love this place and the food and will go back, but the service was terrible on all accounts that night. For the price you pay for the food, the service should be top notch always.
Only complaint is why take reservations when we had to wait 35 min past reservation time???
The waitress we had was new, tried to be understanding, but 15 minutes without waters. No silverware or napkins. Ordered everything at one time, appetizer came out with the meal. Food was cold. Manager did try to make things right, but this is the third time at this restaurant group that owns this and others that I have had poor service. Maybe they need to train staff better, ease them in and not give someone under developed more than they can handle until they're ready
Great food and place! I try to make it to summit as much as possible.
Amazing food and amazing service was perfect for my date on Friday
Another fantastic experience at The Summit Grill - food was spot on, service was great and truly enjoyed the entire evening.
Great restaurant. We love to go there and you can get discount gift cards at Costco
Perfection has become our expectation at ls grill and our friday dinner for four was no exception. My cheesy shrimp and grits was outstanding. My wife had the filet mignon which was fork tender and flavorful. My son enjoyed his grilled salmon and his wife had chicken carbonara. Perfection. With drinks and dessert spent less than $200 for 5star quality food. Our server was a pro and was always there when needed and didnt hover.
Perfection is the normal.
The food and service were excellent, and the noise level was low enough to have a comfortable conversation. The only reasons for a fair score on ambiance was the lighting seemed really dim for lunch on a sunny day, it smelled really odd, and there was incense burning. My lunch companion goes there weekly, and commented on the smell immediately and said it was very unusual ... so I'm sure it was an anomaly. Overall, I would recommend.
Food was good but the table we sat at was triangular in shape and you felt odd sitting out in the open facing three directions.
Food and service not as good as in the past.
