Great service & great food. Plus it was half price bottles of wine the night we were there! BONUS!
Food was amazing! Service was good; the food came out a little slower than I’d like but that doesn’t have a representation of the service. I thoroughly enjoyed my date night!
Summit Grill never disappoints. The absolute best wings in town. There’s something for everyone.
Good just be prepared that it’s on the pricy side.
My husband and I each got 1 drink, shared an appetizer, each got a steak which came with potatoes and veggies. No salad/soup and our bill was, $110 before tip.
So, for us anyways, we would go again for a special occasion.
Steaks were very good, prepared well and big! Veggies were very good!
We had a four-course meal which was great for the most part. The salad greens were of a poor quality. The server offered a different salad, but she forgot to bring it out, and so I didn't get it until after the entree had been served. I had asked if it was possible to have green beans instead of the veggie medley (green beans are in the medley). The server said I could order a different side but there were no other real veggie options so I went with the salad (and paid an upcharge). Later, my husband saw our server take a large plate of green beans to another table... With all of that said, we still gave the waitress an enormous tip (over 20%) because that is what we like to do, but it did not sit well with us.
This was a reservation on Valentines Day for dinner. They overbooked and sat us at a table with another couple we had never met. We both looked at each other as if the hostess made a mistake thinking we were together. They said that was the only option to seat us and blamed it on Open Table saying they couldn’t turn off new reservations. We would have walked out, as many others did, but what other options would we have at 7:45 pm on Valentines evening.
Food was great. The only issues we had was being sat in a dark room and we were sat at a table with another couple and it was really awkward. We ordered wings for an appetizer and ask for napkins and we got small bar napkins. After 5 minutes of getting our appetizer our meal came out without silverware and it took them 15 mins to get our silverware after just sitting there staring at our food. Also to 25 mins to get a drink.
Celebrating each other on Valentine’s Day.
All of us had a wonderful meal and great service, atmosphere was nice and appetizers were very delicious . Will definitely go back
The restaurant is always much to warm inside, but the food is consistently good. One negative this time though was the brick chicken was very salty.
Food was delicious! Our server, Mark was excellent! We frequent Summit Grill & have always has good service, but Mark was exceptional! Our 7 year old even commented on how good the waiter was! We will probably request his section from now on!
Disappointed Valentine's day dinner. Seated in the back bar area with a view if the dumpster and the sliding glass doors keyhole was missing and the sub zero weather was blowing on us. The server was a bartender and not a normal server. The food was good but I think summit grill is benefiting from lack of choices in the area. Happy hour is the only reason I'll be back.
Waitress didn’t know special valentine drink. Service was s l o w.
It was an amazing evening to celebrate Valentine’s Day with great wine and excellent prime rib.
Food was cooked to near perfection. Great service. A little spendy but well worth it.
It was a great Valentine's Day Dinner, great service, excellent service staff.
Great Place. Will definitely dine there again in the future.
Only issue was when we arrived. There were several empty tables and staff all over the place but we were not seated for about 10 minutes. Even tho we had a reservation and were on time and no one else was waiting before us. Frustrating.
Food was good. Waiter was training a new waiter. It was all good.
We usually enjoy our visits to summit grill. If this had been the first time through their doors we more than likely wouldn’t go back or recommend to friends. Even though we had reservations we waited over 30 minutes to be sat. Our server was attentive but food took forever to arrive. All of this could be attributed to how busy the establishment was. What was so disappointing was one of the entrees. The brick chicken was served burnt. When that was pointed out we were asked, “are you sure it’s just not extremely charred?” That was followed up with,”what do you want me to do about it? I’ll mention it to the manager,”. The manager never materialized and there was no apology or compensation for the chicken which was left on the plate pretty much untouched. Guess one poor meal nor customer retention mean anything to this restaurant!
Love going here with my wife and family, great food and drinks
This was the first time we ate in this restaurant. We went to celebrate my wife's birthday, the service and food were excellent. We made a reservation, and good thing we did, as the restaurant was crowded. It seems to be a very popular destination.
Great food, good service!
Everything about Summit Grill is wonderful.
Have now eaten at all three, and loved them all.
Met friends for lunch after church yesterday. Although the food was good as usual, the service was a little slower, but in their defense, the restaurant was quite busy.
This is one of our favorite places to eat in Lee’s Summit. It’s always tasty and the service is always solid. We also like to take out of town guests and have larger functions there. Sooooon good!
My prime rib was overcooked another steak was way under cooked. Ordered calamari but had just as many breaded peppers as calamari. Few would fine but rather have more of what I ordered. Brie was good.
I love the Summit Grill in Gladstone, but, our group of 6 could not get in there when we wanted so went to Lee's Summit since it was close to one of our group. Service was fair, they were out of Riesling wine, and my Moscow Mule was in a glass, not a copper mug. They said they were out of mugs. One of the people at our table got the wrong meal, by the time it came out, the rest of us were done eating. I did not expect to see such a difference in service. However - the food was wonderful. I will stick to the one close to home where we have always had fantastic service!
Went for lunch on a Saturday. Food was perfect, service was excellent. No question we’ll go back. Try the Candy Bar Cake.
It was good. Good food and great service. Even though it was really busy the service was still outstanding.
Bar was busy with happy hour, makes it very loud for dining room.
Terran was our server and she was awesome! My wife had the BBQ Shrimp and Grits and said it was as good as what she had in Charleston, SC. High praise. I had the Pot Roast and it was excellent also.
Food and service were good but not great. It was frustrating that their gift card system was down, but our server did let us know before we ordered.
Amazing food, great price and service. Fresh ingredients cooked to perfection.
I was so glad we had made a reservation as the place was packed when we arrived at 5:15. We were promptly seated at a table and orders taken. Our main frustration was fueled by the delay in time to get our orders. Our appetizer took nearly a half hour to arrive after ordering, and our entrees (three salads and one burger) took more than an hour to be delivered. Everything was delicious, but we had to eat everything so quickly as to not be late for an event at 7:15 that we hardly got to enjoy it.
This was the 5th time we have dined at Summit Grill. We reserved a table for 3 using open table more than an hour prior to our scheduled time. When we arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation, we were told they were running 20 minutes behind their reserved times. Many groups of 2-4 people were also waiting well beyond their reserved times. 45 minutes after our reservation, at 830 pm, we were finally seated.
The food is expensive, there is an upcharge for changing anything from the printed menu. [Upcharge for exchanging fries for veggies? Really?] The $30 ribeye had many inedible gristle spots.
Always great and if you can get table further from bar noise it makes meal more enjoyable. Our waiter was very good.
We really love the food at Summit and, use to, go for happy hour on Thursday nights. What keeps us from doing happy hour is the noise level is over the top because the music is played so loud everyone is yelling at each other to be heard. Also, during the sprint/summer/fall, the back patio is unavailable most times because of private parties in the private bar area. This is a major problem for those of us who do not want to be exposed to someone who is smoking. I suggest that the restaurant change the two patios and allow the nonsmokers to have the front patio, which is always available, and relegate the smokers to finding someplace to stand in the back -- this is what most restaurants do.
I had The Shrimp and Grits and it was wonderful. Will have again. The other three friends thought their dishes were great. Great service. Hopin’ place on Friday night.
Wonderful service, drinks ok, but food unpleasant. Too bad because we really wanted to like it. Anything fried was tasty but otherwise unpleasant—fish was really fishy and messy, pork over cooked. Loud.
