Summit Grill and Bar - Kansas City
This was our second time using Summit Grill for our monthly brunch gathering and it was just as great as we remembered it! Good service, delicious food, and it wasn’t as loud as last time so it was an even better experience!
I’ve dined at this location many times before, but yesterday’s dining experience was my favorite thus far. Our server was polite, attentive, and knowledgeable. He recommended the better food and drink options leaving us satisfied and excited to return. The meal was 10/10 and the updated cocktail list a winner.
All like their food. It was a little too noisy for us old people. Service was great. I had the fish and fries. Was real good.
The noise level is simply awful for any decent conversation, but the food and service is perfect.
I have been to Summit Grill several times and have been pleased with the service and food, however this time not so much. Let me start by saying the food was great, but the service was horrible! Our waitress didn't want to refill our bottomless mimosas, our orders were wrong, and our waitress spent a lot of time talking to her friends at the table next to us. It wasn't until we asked to speak to a manager, that her quality of service changed.
It was great!
Our server was very nice and efficient - the food was really good and they made everything gluten free for us - still a pretty loud place, even tho there weren't many people in the bar area
Servers were good. We ordered and it took 40 minutes to get our food. It was ok. I got biscuits and gravy was so-so. Kinda disappointed but bottomless mimosas were yummy!
The bartenders we’re wonderful. Very personable. The waiter suggested items that we really enjoyed. We will definitely be back with friends. Even just us for the amazing food. I want to try everything on the menu. I can speak personally for the blackened chicken pasta, the pot roast and oh my, the chicken fried chicken is the best in the Metro.
The Fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy is one of the best tasting dishes I have ever had.
The food is excellent and the waitstaff was awesome.
Energetic noise level does not describe accurately the noise level. We had to all but yell across the the table to hear one another. I was dining with my parents and my partners parents and they couldn’t hear above the loud echoes through your establishment. I love summit grill but even for me at 32, it is extremely loud
We were celebrating a birthday and they brought us a special treat! So fun!
Summit Grill is my favorite neighborhood place for happy hour and brunch. The food is awesome and the service is consistently excellent. It never disappoints and I always take out of town guests there as well. I'm so glad it replaced the 75th Brewery that was in that space for so long. Love SUMMIT GRILL!
Service was terrible. Good came out wrong and was never fixed. Our drinks were never refilled. No manager ever stopped by.
Had a friend in town visiting and a small group went to brunch. Took 45 minutes to order food. Took an hour to get my first drink. They were friendly but understaffed and brunch took 2.5 hours to complete. It’s fine if you have time but not under normal circumstances.
Food & service were both excellent. Reservations are a plus. Waldo location is noiser than expected. Personally prefer Lees Summit. We were given a table in bck section which was a little quieter, and appreciated. Staff were helpful when making reervations - gave info on parking in the area, and got us right in at rsv time.
They forgot to reserve my table for 8 on the night of our senior prom. A bit of a wait and I had made the reservation well in advance, so kind of irritating that they forgot to make the table. Everything else was good.
We love this restaurant, but in the dining area it seems to be very noisy. We wish that there was something to keep the noise level down. Overall, we will come back to this restaurant!
This is the second time ive gone and haven't been satisfied with my meal. We go for bottomless mimosas and they are 4 for an hour.... not bottomless.
Great service! Excellent food and atmosphere!
Would highly recommend.
We have been to the Summit a few times and
food and atmosphere is great. Our service was ok but we have had better in the past. Our server was not as friendly or informative as previous visits.
It is loud in the bar, but really enjoy that area in the front of the restaurant. You can also sit in the dining area which is much more quiet.
Great food, better company!
Food was delivered before we had any silverware or a napkin. Had to go to bar to request service. Very loud establishment. The Summit Grill restaurant in Lee's Summit is much better than the Waldo restaurant.
We had a great meal and fantastic service. Our server Laura was great.
I've been to Summit Grill several times and, for the most part, it's been an enjoyable experience. This visit was on Easter Sunday. It was crowded, which should be expected for Easter Sunday brunch. My husband ordered the bottomless bloody mary and I ordered the bottomless mimosa.
Our server was friendly but seemed overwhelmed and I had to stop her and ask for a refill every time I needed one, rather than her noticing that we needed refills. Several times I had to ask more than once as my glass sat empty. There was another server who was walking around with a carafe of mimosas but only seemed concerned about taking care of her tables. I spent many years as a server and was always taught to take care of all of the customers, not just your own. This doesn't seem to be the case at Summit Grill.
Every time we asked for anything (silverware, ketchup, etc) we had to wait an unusually long time. The restaurant seemed ill-prepared for the busy Easter brunch.
That said, the food was good. The jalapeno cheesy grits are amazing, the bacon perfectly cooked plus they use Nueske's bacon, which is our favorite. We will definitely go back and hopefully have a better experience.
Josh was our server and he took very good care of my wife and I. It was our first time at this establishment, we decided to tri the brunch and the food was amazing. The atmosphere was perfect, the noise level was a bit much but, nothing that we couldn't handle. We'll be back also the bottomless mimosas were awesome. Thanks again.
Josh was wonderful! It was also nice to make a last minute reservation for 8 and get in. Food was delicious as usual, the main reason we keep coming back!
Enjoyed it! Worth our drive. We had a nice family dinner. Good selection of wines.
I was upset that our reservation was not checked in. I had to call back to the restaurant to get them to change it. It said that I cancelled my reservation and in fact we did show up on time. Austin, the server was great. The host was ok, kind of nonchalant, almost hesitant to come seat us. The food was great though. I like the prices for happy hour.
Had the fried shrimp appetizer and the pulled pork street tacos before sharing the summit burger. All cooked to perfection and fabulous.
Best Restaurant in Waldo. A menu that has something for everyone and excellent drinks
Our first time here and my wife and I were impressed. Since Houstons closed we’ve been looking for a similar restaurant . We will be back to your establishment.
I've consistently had great food at Summit Grill. The last few times I've been there, I've had to wait a long time for a server to be assigned to the table. I noticed it happening to other people as well. The servers themselves are friendly, but that initial wait is 10 minutes +.
We had a large party and Our waiter did a great job coordinating everything. Everyone’s food was great and we were glad we were seated on the bar side of the restaurant. It seems like the restaurant is set up wrong… It’s so dark in the back and seems of the bar ran the other direction that both sides of the restaurant to get some light
The food was excellent and the service was good too. It was a Spring evening and we enjoyed the patio doors being open. It was a great dining experience!
Very good food, just very pricy and noisy for the price.
