Summit Grill and Bar - Kansas City
great burgers, "smashed potatoes" amazing. very loud at times
Valentine’s Day date with the lady. Great time and food
As always, Summit Grill provided a great experience with their food and service. We had reservations and were sat immediately without a wait. The waiter did a great job of ensuring that our drinks were full and the food came out quickly. With it being St. Valentine's Day, you'd think that it would be busy and chaotic but that wasn't the case.

Summit Grill has never let us down. Service is always great and the food is delicious. I had the prime rib dip and the meat is tender and horseradish sauce is incredible. My date had the chicken fried chicken and the chicken was perfectly fried. The portion was huge and definitely had enough for another meal. We had the s’more ice cream cake. Incredible! Summit Grill is always a go-to when we want great food and service.
Great food. Great service- Everyones food around us looked great - Quick service -
This is the second year in a row that we’ve gone to Summit Grill for Valentine’s day & we also do a lot of happy hours here. The food is very good & the service is fun & friendly. When the bar is full it does seem to get pretty noisy which also carries into the dining room area but still it’s a great place to hang out.
Took my mother for lunch. Everyone is very nice and the food is outstanding. The one problem is the noise level. It was lunchtime and the music was BLARING. And because of this everyone was having to scream at each other to hear. I did ask if they would turn the music down a little and they were very nice about it and did turn it down which made the rest of the lunch a better experience.
Awesome!! I loved it. Great service and yummy food!!
We love the Summit Grill. Our favorite bartender Ben And amazing manager Mia always make it special.
Good and service are alway spectacular
We had to wait over an hour for our “reserved” table. Service was fine, but when asked to turn down the deafening music- it was ignored. Could not hear the person next to me and seating is tight quarters.
Hostess was slow to acknowledge us and process customers coking in the door. Seemed understaffed. Took a long time to get drinks, but it was a peak time. Food was ok. Over cooked pork. Our drink bill alone was $120 for two of us - 8 drinks. Easily twice as much as expected.
Wedding Anniversary and Valentine's day
Great place. Wait staff was friendly and the food was awesome. A bit loud and was so busy service was slow. Ran out of an ingredient for a signature cocktail which was a downer.
Overall would recommend. Will go back.
The food was amazing. Our waiter was so friendly. Will definitely come back.
The food was very good,
I’ve be never been to this restaurant prior to this day. The food was amazing, I recommend the salmon. The staff was very nice and attentive. The restaurant was clean and beautiful and had such a nice ambience. I will definitely be back.
Wish our waitress was more attentive. Still enjoyed ourselves.
We love the Summit brunch—particularly the bottomless grapefruit mimosas! While it’s very busy and loud, the food, service, and experience has always been top notch. Well done!
DO NOT PASS THIS PLACE UP!!! Wait was very reasonable, 5-10 minutes on a Saturday, Server was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and special items and the food was incredibly good. Had the poutine for an appetizer(competes with Canadian poutine), wife had the Chicken Carbonara and I had the Ribeye. Everything was to perfection and the dessert was the Smores ice cream cake-this was one of the best desserts I have ever had. I have already recommended this place to at least 4-5 people it was so good.
Summit Grill is one of our go-to brunch spots for any friend or family gathering. I would suggest however that if you're brunching with family to plan for a Sunday, as Saturday is usually busy and very loud.
The Jalapeno Cheese Grits in a Jar were unexpectedly delicious, the brioche french toast - amazing! We occasionally order the french toast for the table to share along with (as weird as it might sound) a side of Summit's mac 'n' cheese, generously coated in a creamy cheese sauce.
The table agreed that the Ultimate Omelette was a little lackluster. Oh and don't forget to enjoy your bottomless mimosas!
The food was great.
Five of us met for lunch. The food was outstanding!! Best artichoke and spinach dip I've ever had. Our sandwiches were terrific. Service was great, accurate, and friendly. I will be back!!
Horrible service and even worse recovery.
Great restaurant, bathroom could be cleaner
Love Summit Grill. Hate the noise. If they invested in noise absorption panels, we'd eat there a lot more often. It's hard to hear the people at the other end of the table. The last night we were there, service was not good but I hope that is just an off night. We had to ask where our drinks were after 20 minutes. We filled our own water glasses. Our wine glasses stayed empty most of the night. They did warn they were short staffed and we have had great evenings there other times.
The street tacos were amazing!
Summit Grill is just okay. We went because they are one of few that will let you make a reservation for seven people.
This is my 3rd time going for brunch, and I have enjoyed every visit!! My brunch guests enjoy in the atmosphere and the food. Will be coming back again!!
This was the perfect place to get brunch with all my girlfriends at! Great atmosphere, great service and even better... bottomless mimosas!! LOVED Summit Grill!
Super tasty food! Love the atmosphere, can’t believe it is the old 75th St Brewery....good server but he was so, so busy, the place is much bigger than it seems so those servers have a lot of area to cover. Looking forward to going again soon!
Tried the restaurant week menu. The food lacked flavor and effort. The only good thing was the candy bar dessert cake.
We went there as a family to celebrate a birthday. The service and food was good, but the portions were a tad on the small side considering what we had to pay for them. The noise level was extremely loud and it was very hard to even hear the one sitting next to you. They need to space out their seating too. The way it’s set up now isn’t working. Once your seated and your chairs pulled out, it’s constantly being bumped by either the wait staff or other patrons. I’m sorry to say, but if you’re a bit on the bigger side, you wouldn’t fit between the rows. Overall, the food would bring me back, but not on a busy weekend night. If you like screaming to your table mates, then this place is for you.
We had a group of 8. They were very accommodating and even seated us early. Ordered from the Restaurant Week menu. 3 got steaks, 4 got Shrimp Rissoto and one the Fried Chicken. Shrimp Rissoto and Fried Chicken were very good. Of the three steaks two were ordered medium rare and came out very rare. One was sent back and came back okay. The third steak was ordered medium and came out well done and very tough. It was obvious that it was not the same cut of steak as the other two. It was much smaller and half as thick. Sides were good and dessert was excellent.
I've eaten here several times. Always full and hopping. Noise level is intense. Food is well prepared and delicious.
Baked Potato Soup was really good, KC Strip Steak was ok for the $15 Restaurant Week price. I would have been disappointed if I had paid more.
The waitress was amazing.
One of the best chicken fried chickens in the city. Enough for two meals.
It was great no problems with food price table service. We will be back
Alex was fabulous! Restaurant Week menu was awesome! Never had a better steak for $15!!!
