Baked Stuffed Lobster
lemon butter, garlic crumbs & shrimp stuffing
Have gone here for years in the past and it seems even better now. Pan fried lobster is worth every (many) penny. Kids fish sticks were nearly consumed by moms they were so good.
Myra our server was excellent
Good menu selection, polite wait staff, and well prepared food with good ingredients brought in a timely manner.
The seafood here is fantastic--very fresh and perfectly cooked. We had the roasted 11/2 lbs lobsters which are best I've ever had. I think that's a one-time event for us because of the price. The other seafood is equally delicious but it's still just a special-occasion restaurant for us.
There's no complaining about fresh ingredients cooked just right. We'll be back again to try some of the other things on the menu.
Service was bad. The waitress doesn’t check on us and the way she talked to us wasn’t sound right. Tonight somehow the food took a little longer then usual. When I ordered extra sauce on my lobster it came out less than it supposed to be. The food taste different from before it doesn’t tasted as good as before. I like the food and the service before especially from the old waiter who worked there forever. He’s super nice
Compared with few years before, price is much higher and baked lobster is much smaller, even we ordered 2 lb version. Test is still good though.
Great for lunch with friends. Food is well prepared with interesting selections. Service as always was friendly and very helpful.
Marcus our server was great and the food was delicious. Kids had burgers and the wife and I had seafood. I really enjoyed my negroni and the salmon with grilled asparagus and leeks was enjoyable. Also had some of the tuna sushi and I was more than pleased.
We will definitely come back.
As always, great food, friendly service and a fun family outing.
Clam bake: lobster great. We also ordered, ,title neck clams and oysters.
Great experience! Food was amazing and prices were fair!
Ate there twice in 2 days…1st day 7:30 PM…
2nd day today ate early - 3:30 PM & had a better
Last night had to wait 20 min. for a server to come over.
Then the gal didn’t quite understand English & made a couple of mistakes with the order.
Overall the food is wonderful & very nice servers & people!
The service was great. The food was only so-so. Having been to Summer Shack many times pre-pandemic, I was disappointed. Corn bread was greasy. What happened to old recipe? Caesar salad sad. But that said, we had a great time.
Our first time back to indoor dining at the Summer Shack since the start of the pandemic.
Great to be back!
Fried clams were wonderful as always and the tuna was excellent- a large plate of food.
Service was very good.
excellent food. ambience a bit shabby. worth the meal.
Server was very nice but food took 1 hour. As I walked out I was waiting by the kitchen and the kitchen looked quite dirty, lots of stuff on the floor.
Love Summer Shack. It's unfortunate that they - like restaurants everywhere - are dealing with staffing shortages and supply issues. Our waiter, Guy, made a valiant attempt to serve us (4) and the party of 12 seated right behind us five minutes later and the party of 3 seated next to us 5 minutes after that (and a two-top and another four-top).
The oysters were, as always, shucked to perfection (Wellfleets, Menemsha Creeks, and South Bay Blonds - six of each), as they should be at $3 each. The lobster roll is iconic, but at $38 was a little on the small side - my lobster roll afficionado son rated it 6.7/10 (he would know. Mac's in Wellfleet gets the 10 btw). Bang Bang Chicken and Lobster potstickers were a win with our 17 year old. I got the mussels fra diavolo and it was clear on its arrival that it had spent some time under the warming lights: it was lukewarm and four of the mussels hadn't opened. My husband declared the swordfish excellent.
Always a winner and I hope that they're able to return to pre-pandemic staffing levels when we come next time.
The food is definitely overpriced
A great seafood restaurant. Food always fresh, well prepared. Service is efficient and friendly. Tables inside are widely spaced and with the very high ceiling it is close to eating outdoors.
The food was good enough but certainly overpriced for what we got. Two orders wrong and had to be redone. I’ve had a better experience in the past and I’m not likely to return.
Always outstanding. Food is delicious and super fresh. Great every day spot. Cannot wait to go back for the fried scallops and lobster. Choices are endless and excellent.
I love the food here and they were able to sit us outside even though they can't promise they will have a table. The service was great even though they were very busy!
Brought an out-of-town guest to summer shack to get great seafood. We tried a bit of everything and everything was finished with abandon
Great representation Of the best of New England.
Unimpressed. Food was barely average, but taking cost into account, it's very subpar. The ingredients were not good for the price. Flavors were so so. We won't be going back anytime soon.
Great menu and decent service. Unfortunately my main course Shrimp Scampi arrived lukewarm and overcooked. How does a great restaurant screw up pasta??
Extensive seafood as well as some non seafood items on the menu
Everything i have had there on multiple visits has been good.
A reliable nice place to eat seafood in a casual setting. Not inexpensive but a fair value for the quality of the meals.
Excellent service and very appropriate COVID protocols in place
Great seafood and cocktails. Non-seafood entrees are not recommended. Easy, free parking.
Very good variety of menu selections. Well prepared dishes and excellent service.
Summer Shack is our traditional special occasion spot - we love the pan roasted lobster. It did not disappoint this time - the lobster was terrific, the cornbread perfect, and the desserts delicious. We loved our drinks too. This was for my wife's birthday, and we will certainly be back for our next special occasion!
Overall dining experience was above expectation. Food was excellent, service was great. House white wine below expectation. Overall ticket for two was a bit pricy at almost $125 per person as we each ordered a 1.5 lb lobster that didn't have much meat.
We went for my mom's 85th birthday celebration. Our waiter was excellent. The staff put our cake in the fridge and then put candles on it and brought it to our table- such great service. Our waiter was the best. We love the food at Summer Shack and will definitely go back.
we love your place. always a good time with friends and family!
The food was delicious but the portions were small. The waiter was very sweet but slow and apparently forgetful. It was hard to see how many other tables he had. The restaurant was not busy. No evidence of a manager on the floor making sure drinks were delivered on time - they weren't - or asking customers how the food was. The hostess never left the hosting station to check on customers or make sure drinks were not waiting at the service bar. The place needs management!
Food was excellent, particularly enjoyed the whole belly clams. A bit pricey particularly given the laid back, beach themed atmosphere but overall we had a wonderful meal.
Went last minute on Sunday afternoon with our 3-year old grandson for lobster and steamers - perfect location as the outdoor area was very quiet and he could get up and walk around no problem. No real ambiance if that is what you are looking for.
Great alternative to Boston where everything was packed as we had just visited the NE aquarium.
The food was fine if a little cool but works with a 3-year old. We all enjoyed the steamers, hot style lobster roll and lobster pot stickers. He enjoyed his brownie sundae immensely (think the fudge was his favorite part).
Seafood is outstanding. Like the raw bar. Sushi may or may not be offered, depending on times of year.
If you want good fresh seafood at a reasonable price, Summer Shack is a great place to go. The ambiance is very nice, seafood oriented, and clean, but not a place to go for a romantic dinner. Portions are sizable and well cooked. My companion loved the pomegranate martini.
Food is still solid. Feels like the menu has gotten a litte away from its roots, though.
Honest seafood place, excellent service. Fresh oyster tower is recommended.
