Good food....great service!
My server ( Riley) was spectacular. Patient and great following through on our rather complicated requests.
I was disappointed in my fried clams though-too heavily salted and too heavily breaded for my taste. My friends were happy with their scallops and shrimp with pasta dishes though.
Previously I had sent over 8 clients to dine at the restaurant and they were enthusiastic with their food and beverage and service.
We visited with my previous guest and we all satisfied with excellent food.
Super fun and energetic seafood restaurant. Beware of the UPsale from the 1 pound to 1.5 pound lobster. It was a $22 difference and I was shocked. Food was great otherwise and lots of choices for kids.
Starters (oysters and lobster) and main ( sea bas! were good, brûlée was average
great food and service. Environment is very loud and hard to speak over
Terrific oysters, chowder, fried clam roll, and service.
Everything was great except I asked for fried clams not fried clam sandwich but overall food was great and the service
Fun no Thrills Place. Food and Service was good. Priced right.
We enjoy Summer Shack for the oysters and great seafood, plus it's conveniently located.
Food was fine. Lobster roll for one of us, and a crab BLT for my partner. Similar price and quality to other meals we had. Nothing outstanding.
Great food and good service.
Overpriced lobsters for the convention crowd at Hynes.
We ordered paella. It was soup, like a Spanish-style bouillabaisse. It was OK, but it wasn't paella. The salads were good.
The sesame crusted yellow fin tuna was one of the best meals I've had in a few months (and we go out often). Highly recommended. Pre-dinner cocktails were made perfectly. Oyster selection is very good and were of high quality. Will return!
Our server was so friendly it made our experience great. The food was good and it was close to our hotel.
Nice brunch spot. Casual atmosphere but really tasty food, good Bloody Mary. Everyone in our group really liked our meals. Lobster omelet was very good. Lobster roll got high marks as did chicken and waffles and Benedicts.
Food was outstanding. Large portions of high quality seafood. Service was terrific. Server knew menu and gave good recommendations. Last night of our vacation and couldn’t have chosen a better restaurant in Boston.
Outstanding food a little loud but everything else was great. Definitely will recommend it.
Attentive and knowledgeable service. Good quality seafood, prepared simply and traditionally. Wholesome and delicious. Friendly atmosphere.
Not in line with expectations. Had to wait 25 min for 8.30 tabletter. Very good food.
Love the shack! It's always a guaranteed visit when I'm in Boston!
went there for a second night in a row, had the "chinatown" lobster, just fantastic. Can't wait to go back to try something different again!
Food was fantastic! Had steamers, crab cakes and Jasper’s famous pan roasted lobster which was delicious. Very pricey, but everything was fantastic. Thank you!
Third time here will keep coming back
Delicious lobster - Jasper’s blend is so tasty. I couldn’t get enough of the sauce.
Good spot for last min meeting.
Food is not up to Boston seafood standards.
Service and food was great. My entree came out two or three minutes after everyone else’s(which really was no problem) but the server and manager brought out a complimentary fried clam dish to make up for that, which was really kind. There was also a miscount on our oyster appetizer but the server brought out extras when he realized that. Thank you for all of the accommodations!
noisy poor service there was a function at the bar which made it worse
One of the worst meals I have ever had. The only thing that was passable was the salad-hard to mess up some lettuce and vinaigrette. Save your time and money and avid this place.
Summer Shack is a must every time we are in Boston. They were kind and accommodating as our party went from 8-11 last minute . Our waiter was top notch and the food was delicious and fresh. My kids always get a chick lobster and their delicious chowder .
I finally tried the pan roasted house specialty ... phenomenal!
Fantastic seafood! We went back a second time to try other menu items. Great service, too! The ambiance is fun and energetic, but definitely noisy. Go!
Food was amazing !our server was nice but a bit all over the place had to wait for dessert menu and check a little longer than anticipated but overall experience good
It was so busy Sunday night between 7:15 and 9:00 that our waiter could not be as attentive as he should have been. We had to keep asking for butter, tea, etc; things we should not have kept asking for. It was not the waiter’s fault; he had too much to do. I live the food st your restaurant.
The concierge at our hotel recommended The Summer Shack. We enjoyed the pan roasted 2 lb lobster, but I think a 2-lb steamed or grilled would have been the way to go. Good service.
Out waitress was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed!
Food was great and all of it came on time! No problems with and so on
We had a group of 6 that wanted to experience the Boston Lobster scene. Our waitress, Nikki, was fantastic! She helped us work our way through the menu with drinks and of course the food. The lobster potstickers were legit as was the seafood tower! The 2 orders of 3lb lobster capped off the evening with a melted butter chive that we wanted to pack up and take home!
I’d recommended this venue for a place to go with friends. We could carry on a convo no problem. We got in right away and left completely satisfied!
I met an old friend here for dinner. They recommended the restaurant. It didn’t disappoint. Great evening, great food, great company
Great food. Great service.
It’s a fun, loud seafood restaurant appropriate for families, first dates, and tourists. It doesn’t pretend to be something else so the dinner my wife and I enjoyed was as expected.
Excellent food and service. Enjoyed every bite. Nice to be able to park next door, since Boston is so busy and price is affordable for parking.
