Great food! Great live music! Amazing service with amiable servers!!!
Good food, great service before the BSO concert. Will return.
A wish for a warm alcoholic drink, after coming in from freezing temps, was created and delivered. The bartender came over to see how I liked the drink he created. Dietary restrictions were followed. The meal was delicious. My only negative was the noise level, but we managed to visit with old friends nonetheless.
Excellent food and excellent service!! My daughter enjoyed it so much we visited twice during our short four day trip to Boston!!
I had to wait for somebody to ask if I wanted to order food but was very attentive to everyone else. The bartender was awesome
Take me back to the shack because it is convenient and even more because it predictably has excellent seafood. Treat yourself to some oysters. And there's a decent discount on parking in the same building.
Fun summer ambience in the middle of winter! Loved my lobster Jasper’s Way! Excellent service!! We will be back!!
Excellent chowder and whole belly fried clams!
I have been going to Summer shack for several years. I have enjoyed the service and ambiance quite a lot. The food is normally good however today my food came out on the cold side. They relplaced the meal with a hot one.
Best lobster in boston
Not bad, seafood was a bit over cooked.
Given the dwindling options, a good choice for supper before Symphony. Exceptionally good oysters; broiled Gulf shrimp are overbroiled, but don't miss the sweet potato fries—light, crisp and delicious. Good wines by the glass in the $11-12 range. Friendly, snappy service.
I thought the food was fair. The batter on the fried clams was a bit heavy and maybe a bit too salty. Potato chips were not very good. My girlfriend had shrimp scampi which she found to be very tasty.
Our waiter was attentive (but not hovering or overbearing!), friendly, and competent. We kind of liked the casual, fun atmosphere.
Loved our waitress. She was from Brazil and made us feel right at home with thorough descriptions of the menu specials and great recommendations. While my fish tacos were a bit scarce on actual cod, my friend's seared tuna was raved about all evening. Thanks for a great night!
An indifferent barmaid/waitress, pretty hopeless.
Good oysters but pricey. Nice lobster, but at $54 for a 1.5 lb size was also pricey, plus no sides, I had to pay another $7 for a small plate of fries.
Plenty of other ‘better value for money’ places with better service.
Great food. Excellent service. I had the fried whole belly clams plate. Summer in January!
They always have great oysters at the Shack. We enjoyed dinner, and they let us have sorbet from the Kid's Menu.
Good food! I was in a party of 5 and I had the lobster mac and cheese and it was delicious! No one in my party complained about the food or the service. Antonio our waiter was very attentive and made sure our New year dinner was a success. Thank you!
Great service and food. Biggest issue was they ran out of four of our runner choices and it wasn’t even 7 pm yet.
Food was very good. Loved the pan roasted lobster with bourbon and chervil; and the corn bread. The service was prompt and we had a super friendly and helpful server.
Very tasty food , service was excelent ,would recomend a visit.
Been a fan of jasper white since beginning.
Excellent steamed lobster. Corn and truffle fries very tasty too. Good bottle of white wine to compliment the seafood. Friendly and efficient service.
Food was great. Favorites included the lobster potstickers, lobster Mac and cheese, and the pineapple adult beverage served in the parrot glass! We went as a family on the earlier side, bar scene was kicking in as we were leaving. A new favorite!
We have been going to the s Summer Shack on Christmas Eve and other occasions for years. However, our last two visits have been very disappointing. Last May we went with a large group and only half the meals came out together. The other diners had to wait over 30 minutes for their food. This prolonged the dinner, which was challenging with 4 kids under 10. On Christmas Eve we had fine service, but the food was subpar. My shrimp linguini was drowning in bland sauce and my husband’s fish and chips came without chips and was bland. I think we’ll need to find about place for family dinners.
We loved it so much the 1st time, we went back the next night! Everything was delicious! Highly recommend!
Fantastic food and service! Mike is the best waiter ever!
Friendly staff, fantastic food, especially lobsters, which I have never tasted! Want to be back!
Great food, service and atmosphere!!
Get seafood resrtauant - went in quiet midweek day but really enjoyed flounders stuff with crab.
We arrived and were seated. I looked at the limited menu and didn't see the lobster bake nor did I see it anywhere on the boards. The prices were outrageous-over $45 for a 1 pound lobster dinner. After waiting over 5 minutes and being ignored, we got up to leave. Someone came over and in response to my menu comment, said they had a daily menu. I said it was deceptive advertising and we left.
Usually make it a point to come eat here when I visit Boston. Very good meal as expected. Excellent whole belly clams and the Boston scrod was also very well prepared. Too many potatoes in the chowder this time. Overall, an excellent meal which I enjoyed.
Pre-Christmas Pops dinner for seven old friends. Nicely done. No time pressure and very courteous, professional and warm staff
Repetimos este lugar en el mismo viaje porque nos encantó la comida
Absolutely wonderful! There was perfect attention to our allergy needs which made us all feel comfortable. The food was delicious. We had a great time!
De los mejores lobster roll que he probado y las crab legs buenísimas también.
Fresh oysters, perfectly shucked, were delicious. Fried calamari (rings and tentacles) only so-so, in a slightly sweet corn flake batter, served with too many spicy sliced peppers and no lemon. The CA Gruner veltliner by the glass was good, the NZ Sauvignon blanc, same price, less so. (Ordered one of each to be brought together; server offered to bring a taste of the second but the law says only one full glass per customer at a time. Stupid law.) Lots of bustle and noise. Might go again and sit at the bar for oysters and a quick glass; probably not for dinner.
Great fresh seafood, and excellent service. Favorite dish: CT style lobster roll (butter, no mayo). Others at my table all raved about their dishes as well: Brazilian seafood stew, crab cakes, crab boil and crab club sandwich. We loved the fried calamari appetizer; the lobster potstickers were ok, but didn't really taste like lobster.
Had the Ct style lobster roll!! Yum yum!! Buttery warm lobster on a Devine potato roll!! So delicious!
Amazing food and impeccable service. Would definitely recommend.
