We ordered aranchini which was excellent and very tasty but it would have been a lot better if we had the bread to dip in the sauce but the waiter forgot by the time he brought it after we reminded him he brought it The tricolor salad was also very good and two pizza very delicious .
Love the cocktails here. We shared a flatbread, arancini, vegetable contorno and burrata. It was all delicious.
Our waiter was nice, but we had to flag him down (look for a while, try to get his attention, fail to get his attention, wait more, finally meet his eyes) every time someone wanted to order a drink. He did not stop by to ask us every so often. We were there for a while and spent over $200. At the end of the night we were finishing our conversation, had already paid the bill and wanted some water. He was no where to be found. We were unsuccessful in getting water and I was PARCHED.
So, nice atmosphere, nice food to share, nice cocktails, not great service.
Food was a bit oily and salty, waiters weren't as tentative as I would've liked.
Always superb - food, service, ambience!!
Sulmona is a good place to go with friends, provided you are ready to speak above the noise. It has a variety of menu options as well as beer. The service was good.
Fabulous always a wonderful treat. Food is amazing especially the panzanella salad with salmon
Great food. Great service.
Great service and chicken parm
I made this reservation for my 17 year old son so he could take his girlfriend there for their 1 year anniversary. All 3 of us had been there before and really liked the food and the ambiance. Unfortunately, this time they reported that they had abysmal service to the point that it turned what should have been a happy event into one of annoyance and disappointment. They said there were only a handful of other customers at tables - it was a Sunday night at 7:30 - yet it seemed that none of the servers were assigned to their table. They had to call for water and the service was extremely slow. The restaurant did comp them for one of the desserts they ordered because it took an inordinately long time for the dessert to be served. Teenagers deserve the same level of good service as everyone else. We will not be going back anytime soon.
I rated value as three stars because it was a little pricey, but it is in Cambridge and restaurant prices rise continually. The food and service was excellent. Pasta dish that we had was delicious, and you could tell it was hand-made pasta. Also, entree with included sides was excellent. The mussels appetizer was done very well was also delicious. We loved everything we ate and drank. Topped off the meal with gelato - a perfect ending.
Some of the best Italian food I have had. Not a huge menu but the specials added additional choices that filled in any gaps. I highly recommend Cafe Sulmona for any occasion.
Been here several times and service attentive and friendly. Food excellent. Highly recommend.
Cool place, good food. We saw a mouse while we were waiting an hour for our reserved table. They gave us some free apps, but then added a twenty percent tip to our check.
Excellent food and service!! Would come back again in a heartbeat!!
This was my first time at this restaurant and I cannot recommend this establishment enough. Briefly, my party had a reservation mix up; I was really unhappy with the way that it was handled. The manager (without my request) quickly assessed the situation and offered a solution. He then also covered our bar tab (drinks and snacks) for a party of 5, which was really generous (again, we did not ask for this or hinted at it in any way). In all, the manager made paramount efforts to make us feel welcomed and to have the best dining experience.
The food and drinks were absolutely fantastic. We ordered mainly from the specials menu (the arancini is to die for). The service was impeccable. I can't wait to visit the place again.
very noisy; has a large bar open to the eating areaand bar patrons were quite loud so that conversation was difficult and really made it hard to concentrate on the food.
They did an excellent job of serving us during the busy graduation weekend. Everyone enjoyed what they had from drinks to entrees.
The service was great, the salads exceptionally tasty and prepared with care. I had ordered a cacio e pepe bucatini with truffles but I didn't taste the truffles tbh. The rest of my company were all satisfied with their choices.
Roosevelt is fabulous!!! Every suggestion a hit. Music on point, loved the atmosphere, will be back really soon!!
The location of Sulmona is a great fit for employees in the Technology Square area.
Everything was made to the highest quality, from the cocktails through dessert. It was a busy Mothers Day but the service was quick and efficient. The pasta was perfectly al dente. I can’t wait to go back.
Staff was kind, polite and efficient. The food was very good, but we were there for brunch and so we could only try that menu. We will return to test the dinner menu.
Everything was absolutely wonderful except for the prices were just too high
Food fair, wine average quality and expensive. Overall disappointed
Very at-best mediocre food, with slow and sloppy service. Not yet a first-class restaurant. I will wait a long time before testing it again.
Service was excellent. Food was well prepared and presented. Will be back.
Outstanding meal. Fresh food prepared that day.
Hands down one of the best pizzas I have ever had. Can’t wait to go back.
Great Italian food! The menu includes many unusual items with just enough familiar dishes to make everyone comfortable. The grilled artichokes were such a treat. Small, long stemmed gems grilled to perfection. The dipping sauce was the perfect finishing touch. Sunday sauce was delicious. The room was very active and the noise level high. We enjoyed a small plates dinner. Watching the pasta and pizza pass our table made us decide to visit again to enjoy those. On street parking at a meter was easy early Saturday night. This place is as good as many in the North End without the crowds.
Waitress was not overly friendly
Music too loud
Food too salty
The service was horrible the night we went. We made a reservation ahead of time, and our table wasn't even set when we arrived to the restaurant. Then, after being seated, they moved a very large party that was behind us to another portion of the restaurant, which was very disruptive. We had to ask several times for items like additional drinks, bread for the table, etc., and our waiter was defensive and unresponsive at times. We waited a significant amount of time to receive our drinks and even longer for our food. I will not be returning.
We came for Easter brunch. Food was delicious (as always)! Service was excellent despite large party and busy atmosphere. Love this place!
Delicious food and drinks, should start brunch drink specials, add few more veg options to menu, but tiramisu french toast, potato pizzette and waffles were all good!
Overall it’s a great restaurant. The look and feel are great. We went for brunch, my party had the salmon eggs benedict, the Mediterranean salad, the yogurt parfait, and the pork hash with Bloody Marys. The food was ok, nothing bad but nothing great. A LOT of pepper in the bloody Mary’s. If I come back it will be to try eating at the bar, maybe for a midweek catch up dinner with a friend. The bar looks really cool and a good vibe can make up for ok food. I most probably won’t be back for brunch.
Great food and ambiance but expensive for what it is.
Excellent, knowledgeable and attentive service-understood food allergy and made well informed recommendations. The porchetta was excellent and perfectly cooked. The grilled octopus was unique and delicious. For a Wednesday evening, it was busy but comfortable. We have been at many different times and the quality never disappoints!
Pre marathon carbo loading. Food was great.
