The expierience me and my partner had was one we will not soon forget
This was my first visit to the restaurant. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed ourselves. Nice environment and the food was good. I thought the portions of food were small but I can’t deny it tasted great. Really enjoyed my meal. Would come back again.
Olu, our server, was very attentive. Food was prepared perfectly. We had an excellent time!
Everything was excellent ! The staff was friendly and the manager came over to check I. Us.
Always, always the best meal at Sullivans in Wilmington Delaware
Manager was slow with the wine list and the wine arrived after the main course was served. The steak was served medium to well done vs. the requested medium-rare making the meat dry and tough.
Usually love this restaurant but this was not their best performance. Steak was undercooked and cold. Table was crammed into the space so was bumped into constantly. They were out of the adult beverage my wife ordered and it was Mother’s Day.
I am not sure I can recommend the restaurant since this was the second time we were there and the service was just ok and they did not prepare the steak correctly. If this was the first occasion, I could overlook it. Not sure what is going on there. You would think the chefs would know what medium rare is.
MY FAMILY AND i WERE THERE FOR MOHTER'S DAY AND BOY WERE THEY ON THEIR GAME. EVERYTHING WAS INCREDIBLE. WE HAD A 5:00 RESERVATION. WE SHOWED UP ON TIME AND SAT DOWN IMMEDIATELY. WE ALSO HAD OUR TWO CHILDREN WITH US WHO A PRETTY YOUNG. 8 & 4 TO BE EXACT. THEY CATERED TO OUR KIDS AND MADE SURE TO BRING THEIR FOOD OUT QUICKLY SO THEY WOULD NOT HAVE TO WAIT TOO LONG. WHEN IT CAME TO THE ADULTS EVERY THING WAS 5 STAR. THE SERVICE AND THE FOOD WAS JUST INCREDIBLE. WE'VE BEEN GOING THERE FOR YEARS NOW AND THIS PAST MOTHER'S DAY REMINDED US WHY WE ALWAYS DO FAMILY CELEBRATIONS AT SULLIVAN'S. LASTLY THE MANAGER STOPPED BY OUR TABLE TO SAY HI AND WISH THE LADIES A HAPPY MOTHERS DAY AND ASKED IF EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. THAT WAS VERY KIND OF HIM. THE PLACE IS JUST AWESOME. THANK YOU FOR A PERFECT AND VERY SPECIAL MOTHER'S DAY TO THE ENTIRE SULLIVAN'S TEAM
My family hasn’t gone to a restaurant for Mother’s Day for years because they are always overbooked, service is slow and you feel rushed. I am thrilled to say that Sullivan’s was perfect. Our table was ready for our party of 7, service was excellent, food was excellent. They did it just right.
We were a party of 3 on Mothers Day. Our waiter was Jordan. He was super attentive and very friendly and helpful. The food was fabulous as always! We were seated promptly and we never needed a thing, thanks to Jordan's great service. Everyone we came in contact with, greeted my mother with a "Happy Mothers Day", which made her feel very special. We will always come back to Sullivans.
P.S. The reason for the 3 stars for ambiance is because the jazz music is loud and obnoxious. I wish they would play some either big band or Rat Pack type of music. Also the table behind us had a child running up and down the main aisle annoyingly crying one minute and screaming the next. But that is the parents fault as they allowed her to do so. Even the wait staff was constantly having to stop in order not to have the child run into them. People pay well for an upscale and enjoyable dinner only to be disturbed by a running noisy child with ignorant parents. People, please, understand that others pay babysitters so they can have a wonderful dinner, and then they have to deal with your little monsters! Please be a responsible parent and consider the other diners in such a beautiful restaurant, or in ANY restaurant.
We enjoyed our brunch for Mother's day at the Wilmington Sullivan's Steakhouse. They had a set menu and it was reasonably priced. Although the place was packed, there were plenty of servers and wait staff to handle everything in a professional and expedient manner. Our waitress was cheerful and helpful. We hadn't been to Sullivans in a long time but we will now be sure to return
We went for a Mother’s Day brunch. Service was great. Very attentive on a busy day. Food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. I don’t usually like to go out on a holiday because of the crowds. This time, we loved it!
Food was just okay , our steaks were not of good quality and the side dishes were served like warm.
Honestly we felt VERY rushed. From the time we checked in with the hostess to ordering and eating. I understand that most people want to get in and out but when you are paying $200+ for dinner for two you want to sit and enjoy it.
We are usually very avid Harry's diners but I think that will be changing....I loved everything about our 1st visit to your restaurant the food was great and came out hot the service was top tier and speedy we didn't have the chance to want for anything everything was brought out in a very timely manner....we will be revisiting soon.
Excellent service and the food is always amazing. Great for special occasions and business.
The service was great, the food was really good. The only issue were the fruit flies surrounding our table.
Food was ok- pork chop was a little over cooked.
Service was good- our table could have been spread out a little- it was real close to a booth
Recently visited this establishment and was very disappointed. Ordered two Delmonico steaks and they were extremely fatty and not very flavorful. Portions leave much to be desired as well. Waiter and service were great, unfortunately the food was not.
Always love coming here with my wife. The atmosphere is great and quite enough to have a conversation with your table but loud enough that not everyone else hears you.
The changes in Sullivan’s over the past year have been evident. The service has gone way down hill. We expect to get our drinks and appetizers before our dinner. We expect the manager to offer help when a meal has been served out of order, no buying me desert does not make it ok. We used to go there weekly, sometimes twice a week as we live in walking distance. We haven’t gone for two weeks because we have been recently so disappointed.
Friday nights dinner was like the Sullivan’s we’ve always enjoyed. Our server made no mistakes & served us a delicious dinner. The dinning room was less than half full at 7:30 on a Friday night. I’m guessing others have also experienced less than acceptable service.
We will continue to come back in hopes that Friday nights dinner is the new/old normal for Sullivan’s!
Very good meal and service, unfortunately I was getting emails from Open Table while eating that I missed my reservation.
This was for my birthday dinner and I couldn’t have asked for it to go better. Our waiter Olu, was amazing. The bone in NY strip was so flavorful and juicy and the Moscow Mules were the best I ever had! Thanks Sullivan for another awesome experience
Great service. Waiter was very knowledgeable and enjoyable. Celebrating a birthday.
Sunday lunch for my wife's birthday. Very quiet and enjoyable meal. We had reviewed the menu beforehand, and both choose the "business lunch - basically pre fix with starter, main course and side. $19.50 each. A good value. The food was excellent, the service attentive without hovering. It was an excellent birthday meal!
Cons-Shrimp cocktail was over cooked and were not very big. Lamb chops had a gamey taste.
Pros- Bisque soup was good but hardly any shrimp or lobster in it. Banana foster was excellent
Reasons for disappointment:
Crab cake over cooked
I felt I had bragging rights based on past experiences from 2001 through 2009.
Maybe I should stick to the dinner hours.
Love the restaurant and staff are always friendly!
My review is mixed. We came to Sullivan's to celebrate my mom's birthday, so we wanted to take her somewhere fancy, somewhere she had never been. The wait staff were very nice, but infrequent. There was only one server to take care of the four parties in the room. Our server disappeared quite a bit. They opened at 11 and our reservation was at 11:30, but we were told the iced tea wasn't finished brewing. It was quite a while before we all had our drinks. We were never offered refills on drinks. However, the food was great and we still had a good time, but the service was not what you would expect for such a posh place.
The lunchtime experience was pretty poor. There was a limited time due to being a business lunch. There was a wait time at 11:30 and again a very long wait time to receive the bill (20 to 30 minutes).
The dinner was perfect...meat was perfectly cooked, sides were good and the banana fosters bread pudding was exquisite! Will definitely be back!
Sullivan’s has consistently been our go to steakhouse. However, since it has changed ownership the overall quality has not been the same. The last three times we were here the food was not cooked to order and the service was not up to the level we have grown to expect. We go to Sullivan’s monthly but I don’t think we will be back for a while. The restaurant just doesn’t have the “It” that it used to have.
Excellent Easter Sunday brunch. Many choices in the pre fixe menu.
Our server was excellant I think his name was Gordan
This is our favorite place. No others compare.
Very poor service! We had to search for our server any time we needed anything; even just to have our water refilled. Price to value of food is poor. I ordered a Center Curt Ribeye; it was full our gristle. When the server ask how our meal is; she did not wait for all of us to answer. I have had better steaks from National food chain restaurants. Absolutely the worst seat I’ve i ever had!
Great live music in the bar. Try the cheesesteak egg rolls. Amazing!
Went here for a business lunch. Always good. Food and service were great. Will be back.
