Both the service and the food are excellent at Sullivan's. The servers could not be more attentive and considerate of any special needs. It's pricey but well worth it.
Dinner was excellent! We haven't been to Sullivan's for many years, now I can't wait to go back soon.
Great meal. Good service. Consistently above average.
We returned after some time away. Celebrated our wedding anniversary and ordered the fixed price menu on a Sunday evening. Quite busy. Liked the new mixed greens salad, although it was slightly sandy and gritty. Filet was delicious although a tiny serving of any vegetable would have made the presentation more attractive and the meal more nutritious. Unfortunately our server did not return to check on us until we were well into our main course. Delicious dinner but not superb as in the past. Overly priced for the product. The card and rose petals adorning the table was a nice touch.
Seated in main walkway, so a constant flow of people walking by, we were told appetizer was new to menu - shrimp in melted cheese was good by only two small crustini with it. We had to ask for bread that everyone around us already had. For a steak house, the entree was most disappointing. Filet and ribeye were both overcooked - no pink and very charred. It was extremely pricey which is fine if the food and service was top notch. It was not. We will not return.
Very Nice time, good food, Great Steak. The Waitress was very talkative and we enjoyed that also.
Overall, our cocktails, bone-in rib, New York strip, and onion rings were good, but a little salty. I believe that the prices are higher than prior visits. I still miss the french cut lamb chops instead of the lamb rack with mustard and rosemary - just grilled would be fine. Please put on the onion rings back on the menu also.
We loved Sullivans and would recommend it to anyone. The food was fabulous and the staff was so friendly and helpful.
Excellent food, the servers worked together to make sure everything was excellent. No complaints. It is an expensive meal, but you get what you pay for and more.
We are frequent Sullivan's visitors (1 to 2 times a month) and enjoy fine steaks they have to offer. This weekend we choose to go the Wilmington location. The place was hoping and I ordered a rib eye. When all our food serve, I was served a NY strip which I told the waitress right away. She took the steak and returned with the same plate and steak stating that "the chef has said that this is a rib eye which is cut in skinny long way". I shared I can clearly tell a difference between a rib eye texture and a NY strip and enjoy the juicy texture of the rib eye. She ask me to cut into it and I sure again it was the form texture of NY strip. She asked the manager to come to the table and the manager apologized and said that let me check. This time the manager went to the kitchen and said again that "the chef claims that this is some kind of rib eye". I was shocked at the poor customer service where it was clear that a customer clearly feel that steak is not correct and they choose to go back and worth to prove me wrong while my family is finishing their meal. Finally she took plate back and brought another steak (which was a rib eye :)) after my family has finished their meal. There was no apologies or any offer to have any complimentary to make up for the mistake (over my last at least 50 visits to Sullivans I have never experienced this and of service). When you spend $300 for dinner of 4 you expect a fine luxury experience. We will be back to Sullivan's but never to the one on Delaware.
