We went to Sullivan's for my birthday and it was really good. The service provided by the waiter Joshua and his trainee was exceptional. We were checked on several times and asked how the meal and drinks were. It is a bit pricey and the décor could do with a little upgrade. Other than that I would recommend the place for a special occasion like anniversary, graduation or birthday.
I thought there was a lack of coordination. An example would be the steak was served but you had to wait for the steak sauce. This was true with the dinner in general.
Excellent food. As always, Maureen, our server, was fantastic, polite, attentive, and social.
We had a great. The meal was delicious and the service outstanding.
Good food, outstanding service.
Our meal was absolutely delicious! We started with the shrimp cocktail which was a nice size to split with my wife. We then had the blt salad which had a wonderful flavor. My wife had the 1 lb lobster which she just loved and I had the 12 filet mignon topped with the gargonzola butter! Everything was cooked perfectly.
On another note, we lost our phone that evening and the manager Gregory went above and beyond to track it down and help us out. He was never irritated and spent more time than we would expect to make sure we found it. Thank you so much! The service is amazing!
Our server was not as attentive as would be expected at the price point of Sullivan’s. I had to wait a long time to get a refill and ended up flagging down another waiter passing by our table. The waiter should have stopped by our table more often to check on our needs.
We visited Sullivan's for the first time, for my husband's birthday. Our waiter, Vladimir, was very professional, yet friendly and pleasant, and he provided the best service we have experienced in a long time. We shared some delicious cheesesteak eggrolls as an appetizer. The sauce was slightly sweet, with a hint of heat. My husband had a very nice Caesar salad, and I had the Shrimp and Lobster Bisque- the delicate blend of seafood flavors was tasty, but slightly too salty for me. Our steaks were perfectly prepared to our liking. My husband chose a bourbon peppercorn sauce with his that he enjoyed, and mine was served with a Bordelaise sauce, which was a perfect accompaniment. The sides were great- I had horseradish mashed potatoes, and the birthday boy chose the 3 cheese Mac. For dessert, My Creme Brûlée was yummy, and his Chocolate Meltdown cake was, in his words, intensely chocolate. It was also fun to watch it melt in front of you when the chocolate sauce was poured on top. I should point out that my husband was able to choose whatever he wanted from the dessert menu for his birthday, and also received a complimentary glass of champagne. These treats were much appreciated! This was a terrific experience from start to finish and we will definitely return.
This is our second visit this year and we were very impressed with everything: our hostess, waiter, atmosphere, service. It was a little on the pricey side and I would have preferred a different side than mashed potatoes (had too much of that growing up) but really enjoyed myself.
Service was good the food was cooked as we requested and the general manager came by and spoke to us.
All in all a very enjoyable experience
3 times my steak was cooked wrong and then was served a steak that was sour and clearly past its prime management was slow to try to resolve and just because they did not charge us for the meal was not the solution we wanted. Birthday dinner was saved when we went next door to zen burger
All the food was outstanding, except for the steak. I had a rib-eye which was tougher than expected and lacking in flavor. It was one of those instances where maybe it was not bad enough to send back, but left me disappointed. I am a visitor from out of town, but I will be back when the schedule permits. Our server's name was Callie (?). Very knowledgeable and attentive.
David was a phenomenal server! So attentive and knowledgeable about the wine and food menus. The manager, Greg, even stopped by our table to make sure our food came out perfect. I highly recommend their shrimp cargot! EXCEPTIONAL!!
The food was outstanding. Wait staff very knowledgeable of all menus. Service could have been little better. Water glasses filled in more timely manner and dishes between services removed sooner in order to serve other menu items
Always a good experience. Steak was a little colder than I liked this time but it wasn’t the biggest deal. Cheesesteak egg rolls are pretty awesome appetizers. Wedge salad was ice cold sand very good. They have some of the best blue cheese here. Can never go wrong with gorgonzola garlic butter on your steak either.
They know how to cook a steak. Very friendly staff.
It was a fine dining experience. A place to gather with friends that is located in the middle and a major plus - great food! They offer a short menu with a choice of soup or salad, a choice of a entree ( that you can upgrade, a bigger cut of meat) and three choices of yummy homemade desserts. We had enjoyable conversation - time together and topped off with delicious food!!
Absolutely awesome! The shrimp and lobster bisque is amazing. So smooth and delicate. The flavors coat and warm the palate with a fresh bouquet of creamy delight. The French onion soup is incredible. Rich beefy flavor with just the hint of a sweet red wine and such a beautiful presentation. The huge cowboy ribeye is my wife's favorite; it is not possible to get her to change. Prepared perfectly with a warm red/pink center that just melted in our mouths. The shaved brussel sprouts were new for us and they were rich in flavor; prepared with a smoky bacon and saute to perfection. Desert was excellent. We are very familiar with the key lime pie and breading pudding: ordering both nearly each time we visit. This time we tried Tyler's (our server) suggestion and had the molten chocolate lava cake. It was served with a warm chocolate sauce that, when poured over the dessert, caused it to literally melt in front of us. It was delicious; the mousse center was smooth and rich and the chocolate flavor was amazing. Now, the most awesome feature was not on the menu and that was the oysters rockefeller. A unique preparation with a savory and smoky bacon, sauted spinach and parmesan cheese sauce on top and broiled to perfection. A most enjoyable occasion and a perfect meal for our thirty-eighth anniversary.
2nd visit was horrible. Appetizers came out luke-warm, drinks were inconsistent. Manager assured us that if remade, it would be hot; NOT the case. Worst part were the waiter & manager who didn't seem to care. On top of all this we were charged for everything-luke warm re-made appetizers, and cocktail wasn't remade. We ate nothing, but charged for all the food/drink left on the table. Manager's attitude was "what ever". We come here frequently, personal & business dinners. After this, we will not return. We will find another steak house in town. This was such a disappointment when we had dined here just a few night prior when everything was fabulous & we dropped several hundred dollars. This visit, the manager & waiter just made it worse. Their attitude was, "don't let the door hit your a$ on the way out!"
Very awesome. The atmosphere was wonderful. Our server was top notch and super nice. Seemed to really care about the customers and went to great lengths to provide excellent and personal service.
The service was prompt and attentive. Food was excellent and they provided a complimentary dessert for the special occasion.
Try the new Bar Bites menu. They're scrumptious!
Always great food here. Service was a little sub par but they were busy. Unfortunately we sat right behind a table of about 12 young girls celebrating a birthday. They were obnoxiously loud and they could care less about anyone else in the restaurant. I do feel like management should have put them in a private room or ask them to quiet down a bit. Other guests were making comments about how loud the table was as well. We come here several times a year. It’s usually top notch. This time was a little disappointing.
Excellent food service and ambiance. Great specials on the dinner menu. The service & attention to detail we're outstanding! We will definitely return.
Pretty much everything was great, except the service was pretty bad. We didn’t receive the drinks we ordered in a knelt fashion, and our waiter never checked in until we were done with our food. It seemed the only time they hung around was when we were paying and leaving a cash tip.
Fantastic place! The service and good are impeccable and delicious.
Birthday dinner. Everything was wonderful. However the only reason they didn’t get 5 stars overall is because there were no chairs with arms. My husband is handicapped and it is almost impossible for him to get up from a chair without arms. And booths are worse.
Also the bread plates didn’t come clean in the dishwasher.
Horrible service. place was over half empty. took along
time before waiter came to table. Asked for another beer it came 20 min later. water glasses were empty for 25 min. food came out very slow. waiter did not come around much. would never go back.
Very disappointing...really enjoyed quality of service and food the previous three times we’ve visited...this time it was not good. Slow to inattentive service (too many larger parties around us), charred tenderloin served despite request for medium rare, ran out of featured appetizer by 7:15, didn’t receive newly cooked steak for another 15 minutes, husband had already finished his meal. Spoke w/manager, didn’t care to respond to our concerns - he never returned to our table during the remaining 40 minutes of our meal. They should know better, they should do better - our bill was over $200 w/tip.
Excellent service and everything tasted wonderful. It was expensive and quite loud in the restaurant, but it was worth it for the occasional special occasion.
We celebrate birthdays here often and have been very happy. This last time was the only time two of our steaks were not cooked as ordered. Both were over cooked. One was suppose to be medium and the other medium rare.
The knock out drink which is our absolute favorite was not nearly as strong as usual.
Overall we were disappointed this time but we will go again in the hopes that night was just an off night for Sullivan's.
I have to say, this visit was not as good as before. We ordered drinks in the bar and then were called to our table. We were told it's better for us and them if we close out our bar tab before going into the dining room. I think that was better only for them. Then we had to carry our own drinks. The hostess did not bring a tray to pick them up. Having a reservation, we were disappointed to be led the table closest to the kitchen. We asked to be moved, first told we would have to wait, even though we passed 2 open booths on our way to the kitchen. Then another hostess came over and said we could move to one of them. Waiter started off great then disappeared as the meal was coming to an end. Complimentary dessert for our birthday boy was nice. Paid for mushrooms that were never received even after telling the waiter, said he would remove from the bill, he didn't. Overall, the steaks were great, but that is it. Will be going to the other steakhouse in town from now on.
everytime we go to have dinner we have always had great good and good service. Will continue to keep going. Thank you and your employees for all the great service. with out them this resturant would not be as great as it is. it takes team effort. thanks againg see you all soon.
Party of four for Valentines dinner. Servers were OK, nothing exceptional. Two of the four steaks were cooked to the wrong request (by a long margin). A restaurant of that caliber should inspire one to want to relax and enjoy the evening. We were pretty much ready to pay and go. At on point the floor manager berated one of the servers in the middle of the dining room. It was uncomfortable.
The wedge, bisque, asparagus, and large steaks were delicious! The garlic mashed potatoes tasted like they had horse radish in them and the deserts (cheese cake and bread pudding) were not a good ending to a $200 meal for two. I hope they were store bought and not made on site because they tasted like it. Fortunately the coffee had a rich taste to wash it away.
There was a special event menu which was not mentioned online when making the reservation. The food took a long time to come out. The overall flavor was okay but nothing special. I would not recommend this place.
We were there for Valentines. Bar service was poor. We felt ignored, had to bus my own table. Dinner waiter, Vladimir was good. But dinner was served cold and was sent back. Meat entree's was tough and fibrous. Not tender at all for a Rib-eye or our Filet Mignony . I can do a far better meal with Costco steak and wine at home, than a noisy $200 dinner at Sullivan's Tucson. I have other choices in town.
Best steak I have ever had! I recommend this place to everyone.
Dinner was good, but the restaurant had too many tables crammed into a small area. It was hard to get in and out of your chair and was a little uncomfortable. Also we were never given bread with our meal. Was a little disappointing.
For an upper-class steakhouse this place surely disappointed. Went day before Valentine's Day to avoid crowds. With fewer customers you'd think customers would be getting more attention to detail. Shrimp appetizer over-cooked, steak requested as medium came prepared as medium-well done, and desert that should've been warm came prepared not warm...TWICE. Waitress didn't come around to check enough, to ensure food was prepared to satisfaction...and water wasn't filled when needed. Manager discounted one of our meals. But, fact that he had tie clip of an AK-47 on day of mass shooting at Florida school was a little insensitive and disconcerning. All combined to take away from what we expected to be a great dining experience. Won't be headed back here anytime soon!
