View Private Dining DetailsGreat dining experience with a personal.touch. Great service and food.
Very welcoming staff. Excellent food, great service!
Awesome as always. We tried something different this time. Everything was just as good as the regular order we have.
Attentive service, but not overly invasive. Best Ribeye I’ve had in years. Made a point to recognize our birthday person in a classy way without over doing it.
We had Kayla as our server. She was simply awesome we can’t wait to come back. Thanks again
Great all around
The steaks were not cooked to order. It is a STEAKHOUSE. They shouldn't advertise for meat that they have a hard time getting cooked to temperature. I had to send back my first steak - filet, and the second one was even more raw than the first. My husband's steak was much smaller with the second attempt and was charred both times.
We will not be going back. So much for all the hype this place gets.
Service was professional. Food was delicious and cooked to our ordering.
We love Sullivan's. This most recent visit was a bit underwhelming and disappointing; however, the manager on duty stepped in and acted as our server since there wasn't one for us (or the table beside us). It only took 20 minutes after being seated and me directly requesting service. I gave 3 stars as opposed to 1 because the manager did attempt to make it right. We certainly know they are capable of much better service than What we received.
Sullivan's continues to be our go-to place for special occasions.
We had a wonderful Easter Sunday lunch with our family.
Easter lunch/dinner
Food, service and restaurant was very good.
Would go back.
Excellent, I had my 30th birthday dinner here and I really enjoyed my experience.
Service was impeccable, as usual. The food was amazing and the menu offered a nice mix.
Great way to celebrate Easter!! We all had a great lunch.
The food is always outstanding. Jordan took wonderful care of us this visit!
After hearing from several sources that the restaurant was worth going to, we decided to go to Sullivan’s for our Anniversary. The food was great! The service was awesome, and the atmosphere was very nice. If there was one thing that I didn’t like it was that there were a couple guys standing within feet of the doors when we were leaving that were outside smoking. I wouldn’t mind not having to walk through their cloud of tobacco next time I’m finishing up a nice meal. That probably has more to do with the bar next door though. Overall, I’d give the experience 5 stars.
Having not been to Sullivan's in years, we were a bit disappointed upon our return. None of the food stood out as "excellent." It was all very good, but not excellent. Service was attentive, though a little bit pushy. Our waitress really pushed the very expensive on-the-bone steaks, even after we selected something else, and she expressed genuine disappointment that we didn't order dessert. To their credit, they asked me to cut my steak and verify it was "to order." I lied and said it was, but it was medium, not medium rare. I just couldn't be bothered to send it back. Again to their credit, the manager stopped by twice, a nice touch.
Absolutely delicious meal that everyone enjoyed! Can’t wait to return.
The place to go for a special occasion. Upscale atmosphere with great service. Steak that I had was excellent as was the Salmon dish that my spouse ordered. Cocktail list was good. Service was extremely good with waitress (JK) being cheerful, energetic, helpful, and informative regarding selections. Definite go to place in downtown Raleigh.
The server made the experience
The steak was phenomenal! Our waitress, Emily was very personable and informative. Very refreshing and genuinely glad to serve us. Thank you Emily.
My husband and I have made it an annual tradition to celebrate our wedding anniversary here. Always worth it!
The food was amazing; simple as that.
We had a terrible experience, first time ever. Celebrating my husband's birthday. He ordered New York strip medium rare, it was well done, you can imagine his dislike. I ordered 8 oz. filet, medium, again well done. Also I sincerely question the size. I am a Weight Watchers member who weighs my food, and my best guess was 6 Oz. maximum. It also took about 1 hour to get our food and it was Sunday night, and certainly not that busy. Waiter and manager kept saying, 2-3 minutes, and eventually our waiter steered clear of our table. The manager tried very hard, wanted to cook us another steak, really at this point we were thoroughly disgusted. Our manager did take care of the bill. However, we live south of Raleigh, which takes us 45-50 minute drive each way. My husband said we will give them one more try, we'll see!
This was our first time and it was it was for our Annivesary. This was way more than we could have expected in a restaurant experience. By far the best that we have ever had thus far.
Service is hit or miss. On this particular night, it was busy, and our service was not responsive at all. Requested booth seating on reservation but got seated at a table. I don't think we'll be back anytime soon.
The steaks are the best in the Triangle, and this last time they upped their game more with a selection on bone in cuts that are flavored to make every bite an experience. Having said that, it isn't cheap and we go there only for special occasions mostly. The service was good not great, but it was one of their busiest nights during the year I am guessing so we will cut them some slack there as the food was outstanding. Our favorite date night or special occasion restaurant in the Triangle.
While on a business trip a couple of weeks ago, my wife had a fantastic bone-in ribeye. For her birthday, we decided to go to Sullivan's so she could try their bone-in ribeye. Unfortunately, it wasn't even close to what she'd had while on her trip. Being a huge fan of wagyu/kobe beef, I ordered the wagyu bone-in strip and was equally disappointed. We did have a great server and a good cocktail. But sadly, our meal's quality was not sufficient for us to make a return visit.
Service was not what will say! Calamari appetizer terrific, onion soup tasteless, burnt on top and a big mushy glob of cheese and bread, broth tasteless. Had better at everyday chain restaurants. Husbands salmon good, my king crab cold, skimpy and dry for the price. Grandsons steak I will say was wonderful. One of the best steaks we ever had and prepared perfectly! Ordered two sides which we never received so cancelled them because by the time waitress passed by we were almost done with entrees. Not once did Shay our waitress stop by to ask how everything was! Very disappointed in service, perhaps we were neglected because we were not a table of adults ordering wine and after dinner drinks, etc.,we were celebrating our 13 year old grandsons birthday! Not the experience we've had there before
The steaks are wonderful! Perfectly seasoned, grilled and tender!
My wife and I went to Sullivan's last
Saturday. We went because we were both hungry for some good steak, and we had been to Sullivan's several times. As is the norm, the food and drinks were right on point. The french onion soup, the cut of beef prepared in an egg roll, and finally a couple 16oz. ribeye's that were fabulous.
Great work again team.
Great service. With your entire staff it was my wife's birthday with promontory this business to all
Food, ambience and wine list are excellent. Top notch.
Absolutely delicious! Tangy calamari. Creamy perfectly chilled Caesar Salad. Thick cheesy French Onion Soup. Buttery tender filet. Lovely personal waitress and charming restaurant manager. Our favorite place in Raleigh.
The food was delicious and reastaraunt was beautiful. Only problem was a fly in my cocktail and the table next to me had one in their wine. I was surprised that it was shrugged off as not a big deal. I never complain I usually just don't go back but this is one of my wife and i favorite spots.
Absolutely wonderful dinner.. The only reason I didn't give the food a five star was because the mac and cheese was a too smoky. Will certainly be back...
Great food! Highly recommend. Better than Sullivan’s.
