The service was amazing. My glass of water was never empty! In fact, I might not have reached half full. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal and drinks. 5 stars from us!
They accommodated moving forward my reservation by 45 minutes which was a big help. We were seated next to the grill which was very noisy and the you could feel the springs in the cushion. Service was very good and the meal.
The wait staff and even the General Manager were apologetic, but a water line or air conditioning pipe was leaking in the ceiling, consequently, our dinner was on the edge of where a chunk of plaster was going to fall. We were finished with dinner before it fell, but it was annoying.
Food was great, service was great and the management was great.
It was amazing! Great service the food was sooo good
Very nice evening and dining experience
WONDERFUL dinner! The best steak I have had in Raleigh! The Passion Flower Martinai & the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding was out of this world!
Gabriel, our server was extremely efficient and polite!
This place is pretty hard pass from me.
++ Very kind, friendly service staff
+ The mushroom side was pretty good.
+ They comped our bad cocktail and gave us a free dessert, which was very kind.
- - $80 Steaks ordered medium rare, came out black and blue. Very under salted. Very tough.
- - Atmosphere is pretty stuffy and boring.
- - They’re selling bottom shelf grocery store wine for $12-16 a glass (stuff that’s $7 a bottle).
- - We had no silverware for the first 25 minutes of service. Had to ask for it.
- Bread and water came out 15 minutes after we sat down.
- Food service was pretty slow for 9pm and a room at 25% capacity. Our meal took 2.5 hours from start to finish.
- Cocktails lack balance, composure, and dimension.
- Sides are pretty flavorless. Especially the garlic mash potatoes. The asparagus side came out almost raw.
- Server asked me to cut my steak literally down the middle when he served it to make sure it was served to order. This felt awkward and not why I am paying $80 for a steakhouse steak. Just use an instant temp thermometer, and you’ll know exactly how well done the steak is. Don’t make your customers do the work.
Outstanding as always
Main dining room back left corner booths nearest the bar server station very uncomfortable for 20-30minutes due to setting sun coming through barroom window and reflecting off and through COVID partition that separates the booths. Semi Opaque contact paper on the partition would fix 75 percent of the problem. Good Food and Great Service last night. Thank you!
Food was delicious! Brandon out waiter was amazing!! Would love to have him everytime we dine at Sullivan’s!!
It was my dads 50th birthday and they went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and felt the love. The manager came
Over to introduce himself (Nick) and even cracked some jokes! I loved it! All the waiters and waitresses took initiative over not just their own table but other tables so service was quiet quick!! Thanks so much Sullivan’s
We had a great time with our family celebrating our 21st Anniversary. Great food and service.
we come here for all kinds of occasions. Celebrated our 8 year anniversary last night and had a great time.. food was amazing! Cheesesteak egg rolls are definitely recommended.
Graduation dinner. Everything was great. Food, as always, was excellent. Service was also fantastic. An expensive dinner, but worth it.
The food was excellent until we got the banana foster. It was very hard on the outside but the middle was good. The service was ok. Drinks were not refilled in a timely fashion. It was very busy and back to full capacity. Also on the stairs coming in it would help to have some lighting on the floor.
Awesome service. Very nice atmosphere. The calamari and sides were great. The steaks were pretty good
birthday! We had the best time celebrating at Sullivan’s, with, of course, the yummiest tasting food.
I wish I kne
Food was great, as always. Waiter was very average - no personality. Others in the past have had plenty of personality and been more attentive.
Mothers Day dinner was amazing
The food was delicious and everything was perfect from the time we arrived until the time we left. We will definitely be returning. They did have an off menu kids menu with great options that were really nice. Overall everything was great and looking forward to another visit!
We enjoyed a wonderful Mother's Day dinner and also celebrated a family birthday. The hostess presented me with a beautiful long stem red rose and my son had a delicious banana bread pudding birthday dessert. The entire meal was delicious, all the steaks were cooked to perfection. The seafood was also fresh and well-prepared. As an added bonus, our server Steve dazzled us with magic tricks and great stories. Highly recommend Sullivan's for any special occasion!
Service and the staff was great. I will definitely go back.
Mother’s Day celebration!! Sullivan’s always has excellent cuisine, service, and atmosphere, which is why I love any & every meal there! They are the best!
For $250 for a brunch I would've expected a much superior service. The waiter forgot my drink, twice. The drinks took forever, the bread took forever. We asked for a Pittsburg char on the one of the filets didn't get that, split a bowl of soup the waiter said he'd split it for us, didn't do that either. He didn't take the women's orders first and kept coming by saying I'll be back in one second. He also took an extremely long time explaining the menu when we'd all dined there before. He seemed rather inexperienced and better fit for less of a fine dining environment.
Three mothers celebrating Mother’s Day a day early to avoid the crowds, throughly enjoyed our afternoon at Sullivan’s. Our waitress Colleen was absolutely phenomenal. She had patience with us, as this being our first time dining there. Colleen explained the specials and drinks to us. The restaurant was busy but not loud. The restrooms were nice and clean. The food was superb. The ribeye steak was scrumptious and that sautéed baby spinach...Mmmmmm. The bread to the appetizers was delicious, them drinks had two of us nice and the main course had us all full before we could finish our plates. Had to take the dessert to go, no more room in our bellies. We had heard great things about this establishment and wanted to try for self, not disappointed at all. This will be our special occasion location!!!
COVID has limited the number of persons whom seem to be at this restaurant. In previous times the place would be too busy. The last two visits for me has found my ability to get good seating and attentive service ideal for me. I am pleased the patronage is at what I observed to be a steady pace. This makes me feel good for those who work their, increasing their opportunities to earn their wages.
I hope I don’t sound selfish, yet seeing the place at about 10% - 15% less populated has enabled me to feel the establishment is once again a great place to have a superb meal and not have to cope with huge crowds.
It was great Lil overpriced but good food
We have visited this restaurant on several occasions and have enjoyed every one. Our server JK was wonderful as usual. Thank you for a very special evening!
I wanted to like this place - the ambiance is cool, with a great location, but the food and service were just lacking. The food is OK, but when you're spending $400 for 3 people you expect to be wowed, and we weren't. The service is where the biggest problem was. We expected really great service and were disappointed. Our waiter partially spilled one of our drinks on the table (and didn't replace it or clean it up), didn't seem knowledgeable about the menu, and was not very attentive. There are other restaurants in Raleigh where you'll get better food and MUCH better service - probably cheaper, too.
Always the best experience. Food and service outstanding
As always, Sullivan's delivered at this Duckhorn wine pairing dinner. Kudos to the chef who provided an outstanding 4 course dinner to match the wines we tasted. The service with narrative was excellent.
3 and a half hours in the restaurant. Nasty calamari and brussels sprout were not good. Steak was good just a little to much pepper. appetizers took 1 hour and as well the steaks.
3 hours to get meals for 4 !! Waitress tried his best and the restaurant paid for the appetizers but
The restaurant was a little too dim for my liking, as it was hard to read the menu. I was seated with a group of 6 and when our food came out, some complained of their food being cold or overcooked. They had to send their food back to be corrected. The best part was the steak egg roll appetizers and the bread pudding dessert with ice cream.
