    JEFF WAS A PHENOMENAL SERVER! I wish the rest of his years in pennsylvania well. Also, there was a first date happening next to us and they looked so awkward. Thank god the Sullivan’s drink menu had enough drinks to survive them the evening! Would come again. 10/10

    The quality of the food is just not worth the price. Our entire party was disappointed with the quality of the food, especially for how expensive everything is. Mashed potatoes were old, dry, and cold. Caesar salads were drenched in dressing. Steaks were undercooked and flavorless.

    Great place. Food was good. Got a steak Oscar style which was worth the price. Steak was over cooked but I ate it cause I didn’t wanna he that person. Old fashion did lack taste which was the only down side to the dinner.

    Ugh. Wanted to love but from asking to sit at a table not booth (hostess didn’t love but the restaurant was half empty…), to the food being only okay (they ran out of our appetizer but no one told our waitress so she took our order and then found out 20 min later), it taking FOR-EVER for our drinks (the table next to us actually complained about their drink wait time), and our check being wrong, we prob won’t return. The waitress was nice and nothing was bad enough to complain, but every part of our dinner was lackluster. Major improvements needed to make this a “fine dining” experience because this wasn’t it.

    Pros: lamp chops and steak were very tasty. Cons: everything else. Sides, appetizers and salads were mediocre at best. Brought one salad without the dressing and had to wait to flag our server. I was only 1/3 through my salad (not a slow eater) when they brought our entrees and sides. The table was covered in food we were eating, food we had already eaten and food cooling while we waited to get to it. And the table stayed that way for the rest of our time there. It did not feel like a top tier steakhouse but the prices did!

    The food was incredible. I had the bisque and steak salad that were both wonderful. I like a rare steak and it was cooked perfectly. My partner's ribeye was more medium than medium rare which was unfortunate although beautifully seared and tasty. The sweet potatoe casserole was delicious even though they didn't have the pecans for the top. Service was patchy to the point where I didn't get a second glass of wine and she was surprised when I asked her to take it off the bill. It wouldn't stop me from going back.

    Not a great experience. Our waitress continually interrupted our conversation, after asking us if we had any time constraints - which we did/ thd food still came out late and we had to rush to make our show. The manager was kind enough to offer us drinks or dessert on the house but we did not have time for that so got zip for our trouble

    My wife and I enjoyed another fine meal at Sullivan's. The host and server Steven did everything they could to make us feel welcome and appreciated. The service was attentive and gracious. We enjoyed delicious steaks, wedge salads, mashed potatoes, New York style cheesecake, and the wonderful warm bread and soft butter. The only disappointments were that the 16-ounce ribeye steak that is on the menu was not available nor were there any Oktoberfest beers. Sullivan's offers the ambience, elegance, and comfort of other Downtown Pittsburgh steakhouses and the best value through the $49 Sure Thing complete dinner option. Discounted gift cards can be purchased at warehouse clubs and the restaurant offers a loyalty program. Parking is complimentary in the garage beneath the restaurant. The lot is miserable to maneuver in, but it is the best and safest option. We love Sullivan's!

    Service and ambience at lunch were very good. I ordered the business lunch special, which for $24 is a bargain. My two complaints were too much butter covering the steak and the spinach. My fault, I should have ordered without butter. Wedge salsa was perfect.

    Not gonna last. Del Friscos opened and has shown why it’s the powerhouse it is in the steakhouse world. Sullivan’s? Terrible. Don’t waste your time.

    This was unfortunately not a great experience and we totally blame it on the manager. We went for our anniversary for happy hour and started with a beautiful flowered table in the main dining room. They then told us they don’t serve happy hour in that room and we moved to the bar. There was 1 server working her butt off when we had just left staff standing around in the other dining room. She was serving, taking orders and making drinks. We had no menu and had to look for one. Then waited 20 minutes to give order. We ordered 4 dishes, were served 2 and told 1 was no longer available when they finally came out and lord knows what happened to our sliders. About 20 minutes later he brought them out. By then we just wanted to leave as we were there almost an hour and a half, and only got half the food that was ordered. To be fair our waitress was trying super hard and the 2 appetizers, cheesesteak and spicy shrimp egg rolls were very good! Just didn’t expect to wait an hour for happy hour.

    We have been before and we did not experience it the way we did originally. 25-30 minutes to get 2 drinks. Loaf bread was cold and after we told the waiter we never received any more. We continually had to ask for things multiple times. When you spend over $200 we would expect a better experience in things that were simple.

    We went for restaurant week. I got filet with potatoes. Food was amazing. Our waiter (Yev or Yez - can’t remember for sure) was wonderful! All four of us loved the food.

    Took advantage of the Pittsburgh Restaurant Week special. Great experience. My husband’s steak was one of the best he has ever had. My filet was a little too salty for my likely, but still very good.

    We went to this restaurant for restaurant week; it was our first visit. Overall, it was a little disappointing. The shrimp & lobster bisque was not great; it was a little too salty. My caesar salad was very good. My filet was excellent but my partner's strip steak was the fattiest we have ever experienced anywhere. And we do eat out a lot. The asparagus was very good; the mashed potatoes have skins in them - not red skins. I wouldn't have ordered them if I'd known that. The banana bread pudding was pretty good but the key lime pie was just too tart to eat. I left most of it on my plate. We felt the service was a bit slow as well, although they weren't particularly busy.

    Bad service. Food was mediocre. Table cloth and menus were dirty. We had to remind our waitress for things we needed multiple times. Were given our food with no silverware and not checked on for 10 min so we couldn’t eat. I asked for my leftovers to be boxed and they were thrown away instead. It did NOT feel like a steakhouse. I’d never go back or tell anyone to eat there… ever.

    Waiter didn't refill drinks until long after we requested refills several times. By the time our meal was over, we only got 1 drink refill. He also didn't clear plates until the end. Service was very poor. Food was delicious. Cheesecake was had a different taste and texture since our last visit to Sullivan's.

    Let me start off with the food was great & our waitress was amazing. Nothing bad that happened was her fault. The service was terrible. My reservation was for 730, we didn’t get seated until 802. We ordered drinks and salads right away, it wasn’t brought out til about 845-855. Our food was not brought out til about 955. They were cleaning up and vacuuming by the time they brought the dessert out. It took so long for everything, then some people’s food was wrong and instead of replacing the food they threw all the same food basically in the microwave.

    I have dined at Sullivan's in Delaware many times and it has always been amazing. This is the first time I have been to the Pittsburgh location and it was disappointing to say the least. Our reservation was for 7 pm. We were seated at 8:15 pm. The manager offered an appetizer to make up for the inconvenience but did not ask us what we might liked so we had an appetizer appear that we wound up giving to a neighboring table because we would not eat it and did not want to waste it. While we tried to overlook the delay (upon checking in we were told they were running a little behind. At 7:20, we were told it would be a couple minutes. At 7:40, we were told a table was being cleared. At 8:00, we were told it was almost ready.) it became clear to us that we just needed to get out of there. We took our whole meal home but did not eat it. This was to be a night to celebrate my boyfriend who last month went through a serious surgery and returned to work yesterday but the night became an epic fail.

    Restaurant week is a time to try new places, but if you can't handle a crowd, don't participate. Had a 6:30 reservation and were seated at 7:20 after being told it would be a "10-15 minute wait". Ordered a glass of Sullivan's private reserve cab - put of stock. Tried to order another cab - out of stock. Ordered a malbec and saw them rooting around in the boxes in the wine room to find the bottle. Asked about the stuffed shrimp enhancement for my steak - not available. We were offered bread service before the salad course but it showed up well after my salad (and butter knife) were gone. Used a fork to spread the butter. Warning - the shrimp and lobster bisque has curry in it. Ordered a filet Oscar style (+$16) and a strip steak with bourbon peppercorn sauce. Entree's were placed in front of us by someone from the kitchen - unidentified and neither had an accompaniment. No steak knives either. Walked over to the manager and asked for his help. Steaks went back and he brought 2 steak knives. Entree's returned with "accompaniments" (originally we got the wrong steaks). Oscar style had less than a tablespoon of crabmeat (for $16). The steaks were good. Asked to take our key lime pie deserts home. Server brought the bag and said she gave us extra Foster sauce. Turns out it was Bananas Foster Bread pudding. Got the correct deserts and left at 9:15. Word of advice. If your restaurant can't handle the extra business, don't participate in Restaurant Week. While some of the issues were the result of an overworked staff, running out of wine and stuffed shrimp is a result of poor management.

    Excellent meal during restaurant week. I upgraded to the 16 oz. Ribeye which was perfectly cooked. My friend had the filet with the upgraded crab and asparagus topping. Nice wedge salads and yummy desserts. Great service.

    We went during restaurant week. Everything was wonderful! We both had filet. I upgraded to Oscar style. The crabmeat and the filet were absolutely succulent! My dining companion just had the file with sauce (as specified on the menu and absolutely loved it. Meals are somewhat pricey, so restaurant week is a great time to go. This was not our first or last time here.

    Sullivans has been a favorite restaurant of ours for the past year. Unfortunately, things have changed drastically with the restaurant. We were the only three people in the restaurant at 3:39 for dinner. It took some some for anyone to come to our table for our order. Drinks too forever, sweet potato casserole was sour/bitter and not eatable. Steaks were very good. Asked for Caesar salad to be chopped and it was not! Very slow service. We will be rethinking our decision to return.

    Had 3 different waiters. Ordered ribeye medium rare with side of bearnaise sauce. Steak came out well done and the bearnaise was just melted butter. Manager came over apologized for steak. They try to redeem themselves only to hand me another well done steak. I said to just give it here since it took another 20 minutes to wait for. It’s a shame because we have loved going there in the past
