Great steak and service. Love the lettuce wedge and Idaho baker
Dinner was great! Only issue was that they were out of many of the main courses on the menu.
Very disappointing ambience. Hoped the food would be better but steak was also disappointing. Would definitely not go back !
Long meal with poor service and meats cooked at wrong temperature
The food was not as good as it has been in the past. Also we did not get to our table to several minutes past our reservation time. Service was great.
We were warmly greeted when we approached hostess desk. They were able to seat us in the area we requested. We had expressed the fact that we had theater tickets and they were very good at accommodating, while in no way rushing us. Though busy, our servers were very attentive. The wedge salad was one of the best I'v ever tasted. I asked our server which salad she recommended and without hesitation she said the wedge. Our steaks were cooked to our requested temperatures and were very tasty.
My only issues (though minor) were that I had ordered an Absolut on the rocks with olives, and when it was presented was told that the olives were not available, but that they would bring them right over, but they forgot. After a while I got the attention of another server and they were immediately brought to me. Also, we were surprised at how many young children were dining there. Some were a bit loud and two mothers were standing with their infants and rocking them to soothe them and keep them quiet. I mention that only because to us it was unusual to see this at a fine steakhouse. (Not judging, just commenting on what we observed).
All in all, it was a great experience and we will continue to dine at Sullivan's.
Complete mixed review. My daughter and I are vacationing for the weekend We were two hours early for our 815 reservation. My reasoning was that they must take walk ins and we could wait 45 mins or whatever. I also had a hungry 12 year old with me. So I asked the hostess who initially told me no and said there was no room to be flexible on their end. Being that I was using an opentable reward (which requires me to use the reward AT the restaurant I pick), and vacationing ..We HAD to eat at this Sullivan’s. So we sat and waited. Expecting to wait a full 2 hours. About 15 mins later the hostess called me up and had someone seat us. I was very appreciative given my situation and hungry child.
The service was more than slow from the start. We didn’t end up getting our meal (even though we ordered fairly quickly in effort to release the table fast as they made an exception for us) for 50 mins. The waitress was very sweet and told us they were behind in the kitchen. I didn’t realize HOW behind. No real issue as we weren’t in a hurry. I asked two different people 3x for sparkling water but it never came. Again not a big deal. The calamari was amazing. Our filet was rare even though we ordered medium. But by the time it arrived we were starving so ate it anyway. All in all, the best part of the experience was our sweet waitress who did the best she could and was attentive as she could be given the large parties she was tending to. I doubt I will return though.
Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. What would’ve been a great experience, was definitely brought down by the service. The waitress would disappear for long periods of time. We waited an unusually long time between our first course and entrée. Refills of water took a few requests. It seemed as if no one knew whose job that was. We asked her a couple of times for the check; she didn’t seem to remember the original request. Strange & off putting behavior from a server, indeed.
we have visited Sullivan's ever since it opened. have had up to 12 people there as my guests. i am in the cattle business and even though the bone in filet was cooked right it lacked the flavor of other prime steaks. Gallagers in las Vegas sets the standard for aged PRIME steaks but there are only 2 of them in the U.S. and they dry age their meat for weeks. the price of the bone in filets are about the same. we will continue to visit Sullivan's
Service and food were excellent.
