The best for steak and service
We loved the food, and most of all we loved the staff. From to front door, to the table service, we couldn't have been more satisfied, and the food was fantastic!
Great staff and excellent food even at $$, very good.
Waiter was great . Food was great. Expensive. Lovely . Way too loud. Need to do something to help with the noise. We had a great time and really enjoy our dinner.
This was our first time visiting Palm Desert/Palm Springs. Open Table reviewers rated Sullivan's very highly and we find that the overall rating in each category usually rings true. Filet was very tender and tasty, shrimp & lobster bisque was over-the-topo and service was excellent! We'll be back again.
Excellent service/food overall. We’re occasional visitors to the desert area and Sullivan’s is one of our go to spots for dining.
Our dining experience was fabulous! Our server, Jaden, was fantastic, as were our steaks. This visit to Sullivan’s was a10! We plan to go back next month when we’re back in the desert.
Great experience, food preparedness as expected, surprise addition to the menu expertly prepared and delivered.
Both people in our party are pescatarian and found plenty to eat on this menu! We tried a lot of the veggie sides which were all great. The crabcake was the most delicious crabcake we had ever eaten (and we both travel a lot!). And the ahi tuna was amazing. Both our servers were very friendly and knowledgeable - Raul and then the girl who took over for him. Thanks for a great dinner!
Probably my worst overall dining experience... ever. Chef could not get a rack of lamb medium rare, or an 8 oz filet medium, to save his life. By the 4th try, we accepted the results.
But our OpenTable reservation got screwed up and Sullivan's adapted poorly. Made the res that afternoon for 7pm, easter sunday. On the comments, said "wife's birthday, we'll likely have the Easter Pre-fixe." Arrived, and they couldn't find it. Gave them the number. They found it a week later. Though not sure, as I had picked 4/1, I'll assume my mistake. Asked when we could get in. They said earliest was 45 min. Said okay. Checked OT to cancel the existing, and found 7:15 and 7:30 available. Booked 7:15. They got us the table. Dining room half full. You figure it out.
They had a good deal on wine bottles. Picked one and ordered. Good wine. Pretty good salad. A little after 8 the mains arrived, done completely wrong. Waiter came over, told him. Decent service, said would get right, and we weren't upset. Good conversation, good wine. Brought again. Absolutely backwards. Rinse and repeat, two more times. After the 3rd screw up I walked back to the chef and asked him what the hell is going on. Come on. Finally ate 4th try close to 9. The shift manager was very apologetic, and picked up the tab. Next to last out. We used to eat in their bar once or twice a month. Awful experience except for the manager, the wine, and the waiter. But both of the could have done better to make sure things were right before being served.
I am in the industry and have been here quite a few times. The food is always great and the service good. The restaurant is also very nice. The value for what you get for the cost is insane. I am not sure how that do it, but please keep it up. Will be back next time I am in town.
Had great service and the manager stony several times to inquire how everything was.
We had a wonderful time. It was lunch on Easter Sunday and there was a great pris fixe menu. Great choices and we were all happy with our choices. Filet, NY steak and Prime Rib were all so tasty and the leftovers made great sandwiches. Wedge salad has one of the best blue cheese dressings I’ve tasted. Creamed Spinach, Au gratin potatoes, and lobster bisque were all yummy additions to our meal. Had to share dessert just to be able to taste the bread pudding! We loved everything but Richard, our server, may have been the best part of our meal.
Good for family/friends get-togethers, holidays, special occasions.
We went to Sullivan's for my husband's birthday. My family enjoyed the food and ambiance. The server was very attentive. The chocolate dessert was amazing!!!
I would not go back. Poorly ran.
The night was mediocre , from service, to food, and ambiance. A very average experience for the cost. I will not return.
Leighann was great! Very attentive and knowledgeable.
Wonderful food, excellent service. Always a favorite.
we have eaten here a few times....honestly I have never had a bad meal at Sullivans.....actually we return each time for the friendly people and good food......but this time I had a meal I would not order again.....rack of lamb....it was small....grisly....and tough.....I was not all that hungry so I made due....we hardly ever send things back....but in this case I should have......
We will return when we are at our home in Palm Desert....but never for this meal.....perhaps I just got a bad one......Our server (Glyn) and the management team were all wonderful.....as usual....
We really enjoy dining at Sullivan’s when we’re in Palm Desert. The food and service is always great.
If you are looking for the best mushroom stuffed filet minion you have EVER tasted Sullivan's Palm Desert is IT. This mushroom stuffed filet used to be a menu staple but you can still get it by asking. Be sure to have the creamed spinach with it. The wine is pretty steep but the Carr's Red from Paso Robels is a perfect match.
Took my wife for our anniversary dinner. Steak and lobster was amazing. But better than the food was the service we received from the moment we walked we were congratulated and treated with stellar service. Thank you to all the amazing staff true professionals!
Always first rate, first class & first on our pick list when a special occasion needs to be celebrated.
I have had a number of good experiences at Sullivan's Steakhouse - Unfortunately Tuesday evening was not one of them. The Manhattan Cut New York Strip was the toughest piece of meat we have ever encountered. Our server spent most of her time flirting with the two young gentlemen at the next table and very little time concerned with our table. Her response to the tough steak was "I'm Sorry" with no effort to see if there was anything you could do to improve our experience. We also dined at Mastro's, Mitch's, The Cheesecake Factory, and Pacifica while in Palm Desert - all of which had much better food and the service was much more attentive. Not a good experience and no one seemed to care.
The bar band used to be classy with a Jazz trio, and was nice and calming. The band that plays there now on Sundays is pretty rowdy, borders on obnoxious.
Planned on eating in the bar, but the bar server was a unfriendly so we ended up eating in the dining room. The server in the dining room was a real pro; nice, accommodating and on it! Food was great, service also great. Unless you want a too loud-dance party go with the dining room.
We had so much fun @ Sullivan's last Saturday night. Went with a group of girlfriends and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. The steak was cooked perfectly, baked potato had crispy salty skin and the brussel sprouts were to die for.
Our server gave excellent service and even brought over a welcome shot, on the house!
Would absolutely come back and recommend to friends.
Enjoyed our time there. The food was delicious and also were very accommodating to my wife’s allergies
I'm not sure what happened this was my favorite place for a steak but on the last visit for whatever reason the steak was really poor quality it was cold it wasn't cooked properly and tough.
The steaks at Sullivan's are always good, pricey but good. The restaurant is very loud, so if you are going on a date on want a conversation with friends this is not the place. Unless you get a table with chairs, the booth seating is very uncomfortable.
We enjoyed our meal and service on our Anniversary dinner and it was so sweet to give us a photo of our special night and a dessert.
We reserve Sullivan's for special occasions and have never been disappointed. Our server Alyssa was so good, this dinner was the best. Food was delicious and we had a perfect overall experience. We now make any occasion special just to have an excuse to return. After dining all over town it does seem like the wine list is pricey. Other than that it's hard to beat the fine food.
Revisited after Many years. Had good experience. Service good, steaks were delicious. Our favorite part used to be the home made potatoe chips with blue cheese- sadly have been discontinued 😩
We went on St Paddy"s day and of course it was packed. Sitting in the bar waiting for our reservation was very noisy, but waitress was great, even as busy as she was. Dining area is still a bit noisy but not bad. Waitress was fun, and very efficient. Salmon was great, not overcooked. Steak was cooked perfectly. Expensive, but worth it for special occasions.
Sullivans was a disappointment, no doubt. I had been here once before (many years ago) and enjoyed the experience. This time, not so much.
Wait staff, front desk very young, inexperienced. They had all been "trained", which meant repeating the lines, rote, they'd been given.
It was an Applebees meets Flemings experience.
Would not repeat. So many great options in the Palm Springs area.
We are Mastros fans, I’ll start there.
We decided to go elsewhere to explore a little bit - and the reviews put this place on par with Mastros....nope, nope, nope.
I would rate this as somewhere between Outback and Mastros.
It’s all about what you’re looking for, I guess...but if you’re looking for Amazing, stick with Mastros!
GREAT MENU, GREATER SERVICE, AND FAIR PRICING.
MANAGER JACOB, GREETED US AND SERVER DAHLIA MADE US FEEL AT HOME.
The alacarte menu is scary expensive but the $46 fixed price menu is a good choice for this place.
I went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday. I had been there once before for just dinner. The food and service were wonderful. The waiter was very attentive and the food was delish. We didn't have to wait to be seated we were seated right away. My only comment is the dress attire for the female hostesses. It would be great to see them in something a little more professional for such an upscale place. They basically wear fishnet stockings and mini skirts which is not a problem if you're going to Burger King or Five Guys. For a steakhouse the look should be more put together and professional. It cheapens the place and the experience when there is no professionalism in the dress code. The skirts are so short I was a little embarrassed for them.
We were pleasantly surprised this was our first time here. We waited a few minutes for the server to find us however the manager found us first and gave us complementary cocktails for our wait time… Once the server found us... she did it great the food was cooked well and was delicious!
