Our visit to Omaha was to attend a memorial service for a longtime friend we knew when we lived in the area. We are always searching for steakhouses that truly understand good meat characteristics and quality in addition to knowing how to prepare it.
We were not disappointed. The chocolate meltdown finished the meal perfectly.
Sandra and Carnell
Great service....wounderful food. They even took time out to show us the private rooms for our wedding reception plans.
We always take our out of town guests to Sullivans. This visit was just as wonderful as all of the other ones in the past. Great service and great food!
Great food, great staff. This is now one of my favorite places, and we are going back again soon
Food & service was great. Pleasant environment. Convenient to downtown events, like at the Holland Center.
Overall a good experience. Was a little disappointed in steak overall considering I was in Omaha. Service was a little slow and had to ask a couple times for things like bread for the table. Ambiance was great.
hardly any vegetarian options, service was poor [the server missed two of the fours ordered drinks]. good place for steaks, but beyond that it's pricey and the service makes it undesirable
Service was ok. Would have preferred a
14oz bone in was the most bland bone in that I have ever had. The 8oz filets for all at table looked like 6-4oz filets that were black and hard as a rock on the outside.
They tried to pass off 1 crab leg as a pound of crab “legs” to my wife and were very deceptive of the presentation of the hot plate.
Save your money and go to longhorn steakhouse.
Our waitress was incredible! She was so friendly and made sure my husband had a great birthday!
The food was fabulous. A bit pricey by the time you add on appetizers, sides, drinks, dessert.
Our waitress was a jewel! A great evening.
I arrived @ 3:50 on a Sun. I wanted to get a cocktail @ the bar then an early dinner in the dining rm. The hostess stated that the restaurant was all booked for the entire evening & no reservations were left available. I went to the bar ordered a drink & looked up Sullivan’s website to see if I could “book” my own reservation. Sure enough open tables for two from 4-7pm. Sure they may have had bookings solid later but as I sat in the bar there was only 2 other tables seated & no one in the bar.(what gives)? I brought my phone confirmation up to the hostess(who was standing by the manager on duty) who looked “confused “ that I had gotten a table🙄I’m a regular & chalked it up to inexperienced rudeness but when she tried to seat me right by the kitchen in an empty restaurant I asked to sit “anywhere “ but by the noisy kitchen. She said all other tables were spoken for but then quickly changed her mind & sat me somewhere else. After all that cocktails, appetizers, dinner & dessert were fabulous as usual. The bill was $193 plus 25% tip as usual but before I left w/ 3 boxes of leftovers I was told there were no to go bags left! As I walked out teetering the boxes a bartender grabbed me one from the bar. Now, I’m a regular, as is my husband ( who by the way was there that day too), and we love Sullivan’s (usually) but you were all way off your game that Sunday afternoon. If not for the great waitress & chefs that day I may have made that my last visit.
The food, service and ambiance is always excellent.
We enjoyed the food, salad and warm bread. However the seafood sampler would have been much better if hot, rather than cold. Overall a great experience.
We chose Sullivan's for Valentine's day because we were going to the orpheum that evening. I did not realize they had a set menu. What normally is $44 p/p was $79 p/p. Food was good (though came just warm) but not that special for the money. With two glasses of wine, tax and tip was $230. I should've saved the gift cards for a regular night out.
Great all around
My wife and I both ordered from the "Sure Thing" menu. I paid $5 extra for the larger new york strip steak and that was really worth the money, because it was one of the best I have had and can't be beat for the price. However, my wife had the 6 oz filet and it was a little charred on the ouside. She should have gotten the 8oz for $5 more, I think she would have been happier. Every thing else from the soup and salad to the desert was great!
We were looking for a great steak house in Omaha! Sullivan's fits the bill. Awesome steaks, cooked perfectly. And our server was outstanding. Wine list was excellent (Make sure you get a tour of the wine cellar!)
The food, steak, was excellent as always. Service was impeccable. Scenery was fantastic. It is pricey but well worth it for special occasions and just the occasional date night.
The food was excellent, and the service was good. The only thing that was disappointing is that they were pushing their Valentine Prize Fixe menu at $79 per person, and never mentioned their normal Prixe Fixe menu at $39 per person, which we would probably have ordered had they offered it. Instead, we ordered a salad, steak and side and split them.
Excellent, in regards to food, very costly, would estimate for a group of 4 a minimum of 300+, unless you get two bottles of wine and then its more. Great place for a company card.
Below par dining experience. The steaks were not cooked the way we had ordered them. 3 out of 4 of them were returned.
The last one was still not cooked as requested and came back without the sauce or the trimmings.
Would not recommend.
We were treated very special on our 47th anniversary!! We truly enjoyed all the staff and great food !! Thanks to all!
Great atmosphere and great food. We were there late and the staff was so friendly. Our waitress, Mika, was fabulous!
Bone in steak cuts were not what expected from top steak house. Sides were not very warm.
Staff was excellent (Shelbi) did a great job.
Our waiter Dillon was great! He was very knowledgeable about the hand crafted cocktails which was a big hit for us.
1) Service was bad. Waiter tried to up charge everything we ordered. Poor move!!
2) My Steak was tough and over cooked. Yes I told the waiter and I asked for steak sauce, just to make it a better taste. Nothing was done. FYI other steaks at the table were not cooked correctly either.
3) I ordered desert, it was not good. Get better Chocolate choice.
Food was excellent and service was very good. Steaks were very well prospered and the appetizer (calamari) was outstanding. We really enjoyed our experience.
Dinner with friends.
Everything was good. It was a little busy with an event taking a lot of their attention. I know now for future reference to ask for a table away from the aisle as my chair was bumped by staff a few times.
Great place to take your wife for a special Anniversary dinner!
Left waiting at the door for a considerable while and had to go back into the restaurant to find someone to seat us.
Steak ordered medium, but came rare to medium rare. I could have sent it back however, and chose not to.
The $39 choose 3 items meal was a good value. Served with OK mashed potatoes -- no other option offered. Table service was excellent. They knew we had theater tickets and served us accordingly -- not rushed, but fast enough to get us out the door on time.
Drinks pricey. Warm loaf of bread was spectacular, as was the salad wedge. Bill came to $180 for three of us -- each with one drink and ordering off the special price menu.
Very enjoyable evening. Wonderful people and food. We will definitely go again.
Food was awful. Soup was like warm, steak overpriced and dry, chicken was terrible. All overpriced.
Sullivans Omaha never disappoints. I had a small business dinner here and the service was outstanding, the food consistently delicious and the value menu offered during January was a special surprise.
out of Fl crabs - super large party cleaned them out; very disappointing. One of the reasons we picked Sullivans since they carry the seasonal FL crabs. Our meal was good though.
Good atmosphere, great food and value, excellent service - overall a great experience for a New Years Eve dinner with family.
Very overpriced! New York strip steak very poor quality!!
I have been to 801 Chophouse, Prime, Mahogany's, Spencer's - overall, this was very equivalent. Price was expensive, but they had good selection on their limited holiday menu. The service was good, but the staff were running around a lot and they didn't seem to give much personalized service for such a nice restaurant. Also, our waitress didn't know the drink menu well. Though she was very polite and found out information we asked. The meal itself was excellent. There were raves about the lobster bisque, both the filets and the steak, plus the brussel sprouts. The only down side was that the cheesecake was dry, but otherwise, we thought the meal was top notch. If you want a nice restaurant with some flair - Sullivan's hit the mark. I think had it not been such a busy night we would have had better service. Be prepared for price, much like the other fine steak houses - even with pre-set menu, it was $250 for two people. I would try it again.
Delicious dinner on NYE as usual! Terrific service and amazing dinner!
