Service was ok. Would have preferred a
14oz bone in was the most bland bone in that I have ever had. The 8oz filets for all at table looked like 6-4oz filets that were black and hard as a rock on the outside.
They tried to pass off 1 crab leg as a pound of crab “legs” to my wife and were very deceptive of the presentation of the hot plate.
Save your money and go to longhorn steakhouse.
Our waitress was incredible! She was so friendly and made sure my husband had a great birthday!
The food was fabulous. A bit pricey by the time you add on appetizers, sides, drinks, dessert.
Our waitress was a jewel! A great evening.
I arrived @ 3:50 on a Sun. I wanted to get a cocktail @ the bar then an early dinner in the dining rm. The hostess stated that the restaurant was all booked for the entire evening & no reservations were left available. I went to the bar ordered a drink & looked up Sullivan’s website to see if I could “book” my own reservation. Sure enough open tables for two from 4-7pm. Sure they may have had bookings solid later but as I sat in the bar there was only 2 other tables seated & no one in the bar.(what gives)? I brought my phone confirmation up to the hostess(who was standing by the manager on duty) who looked “confused “ that I had gotten a table🙄I’m a regular & chalked it up to inexperienced rudeness but when she tried to seat me right by the kitchen in an empty restaurant I asked to sit “anywhere “ but by the noisy kitchen. She said all other tables were spoken for but then quickly changed her mind & sat me somewhere else. After all that cocktails, appetizers, dinner & dessert were fabulous as usual. The bill was $193 plus 25% tip as usual but before I left w/ 3 boxes of leftovers I was told there were no to go bags left! As I walked out teetering the boxes a bartender grabbed me one from the bar. Now, I’m a regular, as is my husband ( who by the way was there that day too), and we love Sullivan’s (usually) but you were all way off your game that Sunday afternoon. If not for the great waitress & chefs that day I may have made that my last visit.
The food, service and ambiance is always excellent.
We enjoyed the food, salad and warm bread. However the seafood sampler would have been much better if hot, rather than cold. Overall a great experience.
We chose Sullivan's for Valentine's day because we were going to the orpheum that evening. I did not realize they had a set menu. What normally is $44 p/p was $79 p/p. Food was good (though came just warm) but not that special for the money. With two glasses of wine, tax and tip was $230. I should've saved the gift cards for a regular night out.
Great all around
My wife and I both ordered from the "Sure Thing" menu. I paid $5 extra for the larger new york strip steak and that was really worth the money, because it was one of the best I have had and can't be beat for the price. However, my wife had the 6 oz filet and it was a little charred on the ouside. She should have gotten the 8oz for $5 more, I think she would have been happier. Every thing else from the soup and salad to the desert was great!
