Sullivan's Steakhouse - Omaha
Book your next event with us
Great food, service good, expensive but worth it. We were in town for a wedd No and wanted a good steak meal and Sullivan’s filled that desire.
We love Sullivan's and this visit did nothing to change that view.
The food was great. The steaks came to the table hot and cooked just right. We had a bottle of Decoy wine with dinner. Great wine list. Tiffany was very good to us . We will return.
Although service was impeccable, the food was mediocre at best, and for top dollar. Steaks were tough and dry, au gratin potatoes were overcooked and dry - and these are supposedly their basic strengths. Unfortunately, this is another languishing steakhouse that needs to change or close their doors. Would not recommend.
Happy New Year
We had reservations for 9:30pm. We arrived a few minutes early, but were told they were running behind. We didn’t get day until 10pm. It was New Year’s Eve, so I understand it was busy and people were taking their time with eating, but we had plans to be somewhere for midnight. Since it took so long to get sat, we had to rush through our meal.
Also, they had a limited menu for NYE which was not stated anywhere on their website or on Open Table. It was more expensive than expected. The appetizer and dessert courses were just ok. The soup/salad, entree, and sides were all good.
Our server did do a good job of getting us out as quick as possible, but it was annoying to pay as much as we did to be rushed.
Reservations were at 9. Got seated at 9:35. Food was not great.
It was New Year's Eve - so we didn't expect the highest caliber of food or service - because of the large amount of people. We had an 8:15 reservation and were not seated until appoximately 9p.m. Our appetizer (crab cake) was tasty but, only luke-warm. Wedge salad was good. Steak - not prepared well and asparagus was like tree trunks. My husband added an upcharge Lobster Tail, and it was awful. Fishy tasting and tough. My chocolate covered strawberries were tasty. Our server was very nice & pleasant - but new. We had ordered a $150 bottle of wine but, she broke the cork when un-corking. Loud and busy which we expected.
Great for New Years Eve and a great value menu that evening!!
Second year in a row we've done New Year's eve at Sullivan's. Everything was incredible, once again.
Great food!!! Our seat was less than desirable. Felt like we were sitting under a spot light in the center of the room.
New Years Eve special menu
Sullivan’s has some of the best steaks in town. We also enjoyed their fish which was a perfectly grilled salmon with butter and lemon. Our service was perfect even though the restaurant was incredibly busy for New Year’s eve celebrations. They also have a wonderful wine list and valet parking.
Busy, New Year eve, seating.
Staff worked like crazy and kept up.
All were friendly and helpful.
Still our favorite restaurant. Quite, can actually carry on a conversation without competing with kids and music. Spendy but worth it
Food not worthy of the price they charge. Very mediocre
Food is excellent, service is choreographed to an art form. Everything was perfectly timed and you benefit from a true team effort.
The ambiance of your restaurant is excellence. We had previously visited Sullivan's in Omaha and were very satisfied. When we made our reservations for Christmas, 2018 I was extremely excited. Our family was all out of town except for us so we decided to try eating out on the Holiday, which we had never done before. My prime rib was dry and tough. The horseradish and garlic mashed potatoes were excellent. Our wine was also excellent. My husband's asparagus was "woody". This was the first time I ever saw him leave asparagus on the plate. Our waitress did an excellent job! She was responsive to our needs. I've never left a poor review on a meal that averaged $75 a plate, before the tip! I apologize, but, I'm afraid next time I will recommend the 801 Chop House.
Very good food, service and atmosphere. A little pricey but worth it once in a while:-).
Excellent food and service and table setting. Had the place almost to ourselves after 8:00 PM on Christmas Eve. Great meal, great occasion.
Steak was significantly over cooked. Butter with crab legs had no flavor
Service was very good. I had a filet that cost $48 but said $44 on the menu. My wife had salmon that cost $28 but said $24 on the menu. Her salmon was very good. I ordered my filet medium, it came out very medium rare. When the "chef" cooked it further it was fine except very burned on the outsides--an 1/8" of charcoal on the outside. I don't expect that for a $48 piece of meat. We have eaten there before and had a very good experience. It is hard to recommend a place based on what I have written above. The salmon was very good and the service was very good. I am not sure how a "chef" could cook a fine piece of meat and send it out to a customer the way he did. I don't want to be negative because everything else was fine. Once I cut the charcoal off, the filet was fine. It was our 45th anniversary, and the rose petals on the table were a nice added touch.
For the price, the food was over cooked and not very flavorful.
My filet was just average. I ordered it medium well and it was more almost medium, so had to send it back. Everything else was really good though, sides were excellent (garlic mashed potatoes and the brussel sprouts). Pre-dinner drinks were also excellent! Service was great!
Jen and Anthony made our experience awesome. They were knowledgeable ,friendly and professional
Our waitress was very nice, great service and explained the menu very well especially with the shared plates that was appreciated and her wine suggestion paired well with our food.
My wife and I had fillet mignon they were both terrible tough as leather and flavorless. We ordered them medium, my wife’s came it was purple, mine was red, she had to send hers back for more time on the grill. When her steak returned from the kitchen it was too tough to even cut, the waiter said that’s because we had to send it back. Besides the fact that the food was not done correctly the price is way outrages and way overpriced.
I had never dined at Sullivan’s. Was delighted to actually be able to share a conversation. First class dining and beautiful presentation of the dinner. I will certainly dine there again.
The Rack of Lamb was perfect, and paired well with the Garlic Horseradish potatoes!
Went for my anniversary, the service and food were great. They made it so special with rose petals covering the table and free dessert.
We were celebrating my wife's birthday. I expected an expensive night out with great food and service. Everything was going great. Excellent service, great starter dishes, salad and the server answered all our questions. My one criticism is the ribeye was extremely tough. My son and I each ordered the Ribeye and both were difficult to cut. To cut through the steak shook the table. The flavor was just fine but tough. I expected better steak for the price especially for a restaurant known for steaks.
They just reopened for lunch a couple weeks ago so I suppose it will take awhile to get back to normal. All new staff. Much of the food was cold, including the fries. The French dip was served cold which I don’t remember it being cold previously. Their bread is usually good but mine tasted like day old. I’ll come back because I used to go multiple times a month since it’s across the street from a major customer and it was always good. I’m sure they get it fixed but a very disappointing start for a $329 lunch.
Fantastic! My husband is old fashioned and said it was high priced. Myself, I loved the hole experience. Great location.
Our service was absolutely horrible. To the point where, after bringing our steaks out to us, the server asked us to cut into the meat to check if it was cooked right and realized we did not have steak knives. This was on par with the service the whole night. Food was excellent though.
The staff here is really great they went out of there way for me and my husband for our anniversary, rose pedals and all. Our waitress was amazing super helpful and gave great recommendations. I don’t remember her name but it was 4:30 on Sunday the 25th.
A truly amazing experience! Beautiful restaurant, wonderful food...and the very best wait staff around! From keeping our glasses full to meeting our every need, this place is amazing! The drinks are the very best around. Our waitress, Alexis, was truly exceptional!!
Lovely meal after a show at the Orpheum. Early mealtime so relatively quiet. Probably could be noisy. Food delicious. Only drawback is all sides are extra unless you do the prix fix menu. Wait staff was generally good but our server seemed pretty nonchalant about everything.
We went there for thanksgiving dinner. Turkey was dry and unimpressive. Every thing else was OK. Very disappointing.
Ate here Thanksgiving Day. Our hotel recommended them for a turkey dinner. No mention of it on the website so I chose not to make an online reservation. When we arrived we were told the wait would be extreme and were offered a bar table. It was noisy and we we at an elevated table too small for a full course meal so I made an reservation online for 10 minutes ahead. They then seated us immediately in the restaurant. All the while they turned another couple away. The restaurant was half full at best and remained that way during our entire stay. Food was good but overpriced. Our waitress was great and did a great job. Food was prepared well.
