Sullivan's Steakhouse - King of Prussia Ratings and Reviews
The food at Sullivan’s was great! It was our first time here and we were not disappointed! Our server, however, was a bit forgetful, but she was so sweet and kind that it did not affect our dining experience. We were there to celebrate my birthday, and she made sure to make me feel special! The food was pricey, but well worth it. Their shrimp & lobster bisque is amazing! And the boys loved the king crab legs. Steaks, of course, are also amazing. Can’t go wrong with choosing Sullivan’s!
This restaurant was a lovely surprise. Wasn't sure what to expect from a restaurant adjacent to the ginormous King of Prussia mall, but was not disappointed. Will be back for sure! Also, a shout out to Olivia, who was the sweetest, most considerate server ever.
Entire service team was professional, from valet, to reception, bartender to server. Steaks with sauce done to perfection, along with lobster/shrimp bisque, bourbon mushrooms and cream spinach. Bottle of Honig Cabernet complimented dinner, as well as, desert of double chocolate custard.
Very pleased, perfect evening, all expectations met.
20 year anniversary w/ my wife on Valentine’s Day. The service was excellent but portions of sides were small & luke-warm at best. I usually give a benefit of the doubt when volume is high & I never give bad reviews except this experience was out of the norm from prior Sullivan’s dining’s.
The service was completely her riffic the waitress brought the wrong drink twice until the manager had the carpet the third time the food order was incorrect I don't know if she was new or just couldn't get it together another couple had the same waitress and told us good luck on their way out the door
I haven’t been to Sullivan’s for over 5 years. It’s not like I remember at all. Our table wasn’t ready so we ordered drinks at the bar. The hostess came over as soon as we ordered drinks and said our table was ready. She didn’t offer to check our coats or take our drinks. Our server was nice but absent throughout the meal. We had to flag someone down to get water and to get a refill of water. My “Oscar style” on the side? Asparagus was ice cold. Our server was nice enough to microwave and take it off the bill. I didn’t touch it when it came out. Couldn’t hear the muffled music. Had to flag someone for the check. There is no way I would return. Too many other options in the area for a good steak.
Server was very pleasant. However, main server would disappear as meals were served. Filet mignon ordered for main course had to be sent back since it was charred and the inside was grey for a medium-well order. A new steak was prepared after a complaint was lodged with the manager. Over-cooked steak for a steakhouse that wasn't very busy? Grilled salmon was very fishy, which means the fish was not fresh. A little stomach sick the next day. Never returning to the KOP Sulllivans. As mentioned, the server was friendly but the service was disjointed. Two glasses of wine were offered on the house for the mishap, but you don't go out for a $160-$200 meal (for two) to get a free glass of wine. There are better options in the market for that cost.
All of the other reviews are spot on with my experience: Dirty silverware (food stuck on the fork when I opened the napkin); server with an attitude whenever I asked for something - although I was literally the only patron in the restaurant for a while; steak cooked incorrectly - well done i/o med/mw; and lack of water refills - again, not many patrons this day. We should've gone across the parking lot to C.F. but hadn't been to Sullivan's in a while. Won't be coming back.
The restaurant is beautiful, comfortable, and it exudes class. It is also dark, lending a romantic feel, but making it difficult for older eyes to see the menu. The "Sure Thing" promotion makes this restaurant affordable. For $39, one receives a choice of salad, entree, including choice of small steaks, and dessert. There are options for larger steaks if one wishes to incur an upcharge. The salad and dessert alone would be $17.50. Everything was delicious. Our serve was affable and gracious, but we did not see much of him throughout the meal and service was slow. An individual who was obviously a manager came to the table to ensure satisfaction and he chatted with us. This is a great touch. I look forward to returning soon!
Visited Sullivan's for the 39.00 Sure thing menu special and my birthday. The bisque was great. My 8ounce NY strip was a burnt deck of cards but the server and hostess brought out a new one that was the filet instead cooked to medium as ordered. In the meantime brought out a shrimp cocktail appetizer due to the wait.
My Oscar style on the first overdone steak was a lot larger than the tablespoon on my second steak that was correctly cooked. For 11.00 would expect a bit more crabmeat. Overall service very good but this is second time in a row my steak was way overcooked. Surprised by this at Sullivan's. Will still try it again though and give another chance as it's service and usually great food are a reason for a nice nite out.
This was my first time at Sullivan's....and we went to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is conveniently located on the outside of the King of Prussia Mall with ample parking not associated to the mall. The décor is beautiful and they have a nice bar. I would suggest that the bar be open before dinner service, as we arrived about 15 minutes before dinner service started at 4pm and had to just sit and wait in the small waiting area. There was no bar service which would have been nice while we waited.
The service, attentiveness and the food were outstanding. Little special touches for the birthday were very much appreciated.
Although quite pricey, the filet was spectacular. The PrixFixe menu is a great option when available.
Haven't been in here in a while - Martini's are now served in what looks like a margarita glass and seem smaller than the traditional martini glass of old. They were out of my first choice for a bottle of wine off their wine list. One of the steaks at our table was way over cooked and had to be sent back. Mine was close to overdone, but acceptable to me. Some kind of special steak topping was a marinated bacon slab that was too tough to cut through, let alone eat. Garlic Mashed potato side was dry and cold. Seems like they have slipped overall since the last time I was there. This used to be one of my favorites in the area.
It appeared to be a very busy night, so to have 2 servers attending to our table of 8 was appreciated. They both were attentive and personable. Food highlights included the hot bread, delicious, crisp, iceberg lettuce wedges, all manner of steaks, each cooked just right, the shared side dishes, and the awesome key lime pie! A birthday dessert with special plate for the honored guest was a very nice touch. The noise level was fairly high, I guess to be expected. To have a reservation for 6:30 and not leave until 10 pm is a true dining experience. Thank you.
My wife brought me here to celebrate my birthday! Even though it took a little longer to be seated (we had reservations), management took excellent care of us with free champagne to toast my birthday and a free calimari appetizer, which we never would have ordered on our own ... it was DELICIOUS!!! We both ordered the special meal at $39.00, with an upgrade to the 12 oz. New York Strip. Both of our steaks were cooked to absolute perfection! For the soup/salad course, we both truly enjoyed the Lobster and Shrimp Bisque, a truly special preparation. And for dessert, we enjoyed the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding. Sinfully amazing! Service was incredible even though they were unusually busy. Thank you, folks ... you're all such a wonderful team!
Horrible service, had to find server after waiting 15 minutes just sitting there (hostess failed to tell server we were seated?) and then he was not attentive at all. Had to send lettuce wedge back as the core was not cut out and was covered in dressing. Filet was very small and outside burnt to crisp, ordered MR. Reason for dinner was birthday as noted on reservation but no candle or well wishes with dessert. Manager did comp bottle of wine but the entire meal was a big disappointment and expensive for what was received.
