Very disappointed in the service ...the man that should us to our seats was so rude .. He look like he hated being at work and hated his job.. sets a tone for the rest of the Night.. he also gave us our dinner plates...not a word just dropped the plates on the table.. with so many places to chose from for dinner you should a least try to have your customers have a pleasant experience .. the food was good... but it’s nice to be treated nice also
We have enjoyed Sullivan's for many years but the experience was not as expected from the time we checked in with the host. I made a simple request when I made the reservation and which I reiterated at check-in for a booth in a nice and quiet location. When he (the host) pointed to one of the booths closest to the kitchen, I suggested instead, a booth on either side of the wall since several were open. We had a fairly early reservation and the restaurant was not crowded. He was clearly annoyed and walked over to some of the servers where he behaved unprofessionally. He could simply and easily have accommodated the request and instead made a small request seem burdensome. With so many choices such as Capital Grill, Davios, Mortons, etc., it isn't wise not to extend the very best service.
We had filet mignon and sides of potatoes. The steaks were done perfectly so that they melted in your mouth. We picked a Monday night and it was really quiet and we could hear each other talk. The wait staff is right on top of things when you need something. Parking was very easy in the mall parking lot. Top five restaurant in my book.
Spent over 4 Bills and sent back a steak 2x and was still far far from well done as requested, and 1 other was asked to be a medium and came rare also sent back, 3 of the apps arrived quickly and other two not for 10 more minutes. Overall a big disappointment. Our waiter was very nice but even he was embarrassed over the kitchens performance. Will not recommend to others, sorry.
My family and I were in the area visiting my son at college and tried to book a reservation at one of the other local steakhouses (Morton's, Capitol Grill, Ruth's Chris)
I was unable to get a reservation as it was Valentines Weekend. I had never been to Sullivan's before nor had I actually heard of Sullivan's until I viewed it on Google Maps
We were extremely pleased that all of the other steakhouses were booked or else we never would have had the wonderful experience that we had at Sullivan's
The food and service were impeccable.
I will definitely be back
Food was very good but service was extremely slow and they got an order wrong at our table and the manager said they would comp us and they never did.
For such a high end steak place we were treated very poorly. Waited 40 min for our entree after salad. My steak was supposed to be medium but came out like seared ahi tuna. They brought our appetizers and entree to wrong table. When leaving we were given a receipt thanked as the waiter literally was walking away from us. Oh and it was just a folded receipt like we were at a diner. My son waited tables before and always give the Beni fit of the doubt but the attitude of the waiter was hard not to see.
This resturant is not worth the money.
Our service was terrible.
Two meals were sent back because they were cold.
Some side dishes never came.
Water glasses were not filled during meal.
Had to keep asking for bread.
Food came out at different times.
Slow service during a non-busy time. We also were seated by ourselves in a very cold area. It started to fill up as we finished up but there were several tables available and we were seated away from everyone. Could have been the reason for the extra slow service.
One of the best if not the best steak restaurants I've ever been to.
Asked for a medium cooked Ribeye, came out well done and dry. Side of Asparagus was suppose to come with olive oil and sun dried tomatoes, they service it plain. Waitress said the place has been crazy in the back and asked if we ever worked In the restaurant business (Not what I want to hear as a customer) . Not a great choice for Valentines day for me and my wife. Prix Fix menu was too limited for a 5 star restaurant.
Worst 5 star dining experience ever, been there before the fire and it was outstanding.
This place has gone downhill. Service was terrible, food was overdone had to send two entrees back.
Food does not justify the price. The service was great but the food did not live up to the rest of the experience.
Steak was very good but should have been for the price. Sides were fair at best and over priced. Service was very unenthusiastic. Tough to justify the entire experience at that price.
Horrible. Crab cake app was cold. Bone in filet was undercooked. Sent it back. Came out same temperature. Mac and cheese tasted like dirt.
Average at best.
Long wait to be seated, 20 minutes after reservation time of 7:00 PM. Poor attention from staff, food cooked in dark frying oil. Will not go back.
The waitress was very nice but forgot to bring out bread. By the time we did get our bread we had used the bread plates for the appetizers. I asked for fresh plates and butter knives which she also forgot. When the steaks came out the waiter who delivered them did not wait for us to cut into them to check their doneness. My wife ordered medium well and her steak was rare in the center. In fairness, mine was done to a perfect medium rare, as ordered. I had to flag down our waitress to report the issue since she never stopped by to check on her own.
One more issue would be the baby spinach side we ordered. The garlic was off the scale. It was more like a plate of sautéed garlic with a little baby spinach thrown in.
Normally, Sullivan’s is much better than this. However, Our experience that night was mediocre at best.
They were so nice. Went for a birthday. Food was great. Service amazing. Great time...
I have never been disappointed by the food or service here. Better food than other competing steakhouses, and at a lower price point across the menu. Highly recommend!
My husband and I went out for an early Valentine’s Day dinner. Upon getting to the restaurant everything was okay, however, when we ordered our waitress was very rude. My husband and I are typically not huge steak eaters. We both decided to go with something else. The waitress never came back to ask how we liked everything and if it was okay. I felt like we were shamed upon all because we did not want to order steaks. We are very disappointed with their service, cleanses, and the friendliness of everyone there. For this being a higher rating restaurant, I truly expected more, but we will never go back there again. Especially with the way we were treated.
Always good, def over-priced but we keep coming back. I wanted a special I have gotten the past few years, 3 small filet, probably a 12oz cut into 3 with 3 different toppings. Was told the steaks were pre-cut, they ouldnt do that any, ore?! You cant cut a 12oz into 3 pieces?? We’ll probably try something new the next time.......do love the pineapple martini though
food was really good as always
just wish there was a little more options for fish for lunch like a dover sole or lobster tails. i’m off meat but can eat seafood and felt like there was only salmon, tuna and shrimp to choose from.
Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. Good food, good drinks.
The food was excellent. I asked for no seasoning on my steak and it was cooked to perfection. Garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. Waitress was very accommodating. Love it there
Steaks were not done correctly and service was bad.
Worse than Outback! For a steakhouse they should know how to cook steak and potatoes. Four people in our group ordered steak. All the steaks were overcooked and dry, and the mashed potatoes were served cold and barely mashed. There are much better options out there.
This past experience was not up to what Sullivan’s is know for. The steak ordered, bone-in filet and strip steak need more then the steak knife to cut through it. The best part of our meal was the calamari appetizer. Service was ok, busy at restaurant- but a bit slow.
Thought it was extremely over priced for the quality of the meal... Literally a head of broccoli, next to a dry filet... 5 ppl to our party, and only a couple other groups there... One of our guests just wanted to order a smaller portion from the bar menu, due to the combo, and was denied... Extremely poor service in that regard. Why not just serve the customer what she wanted? She could have sat 15' away, at the bar, and gotten it, but because she sat with us, in the dining room, she couldn't. Again, that was poor taste. Rest of the food was just ok... dessert was better than meal. Wouldn't return... must be better places for steak in the area.
The meal was served out of order. Sides both came during the appetizer and mostly through the steak. Salads never came. I had to go to the bar to get drink refills for the table.
Steaks were tasty, though. Service was appalling.
Better than any other steakhouse in the King of Prussia area. Superb wine list.
Terrible all around
Great meal, good service as always.
Great food and great service! Jason and Freddy who served us now and in the past are the best!
Can’t wait to return!
Not worth the money!
The food is great as usual. The renovation made it lose the character of Sullivan’s. The service was good but lost all connection that usually make your dining experience special. It definitely missing human touch.
It was great I loved the food and the people were grear
I came by while waiting for a flight and was immediately greeting with smiles from the staff. I sat at the bar with Marikate and she was wonderful!! I got there right at shift change and she jumped right behind the bar and helped me out. I will be back in May because of her great service for sure!
While we have eaten there a number of times before, tonight’s experience was a major disappointment.
For entries we had salmon and strip steak, unfortunately both were over salted
The scalloped potatoes were barely warm while the dish was very hot
The dinner tonight could not come close to meals we have had at either Capital Grill or Eddie V’s
It will be a while before we give them another chance as there are many other steak houses that are much better
Hostess was wearing what seemed to be pajamas and Vans sneakers. There was a dank smell when we entered the restaurant.
Asked about corkage fee. $25 unless they offer the wine. iUnfortunately the wine we brought was on their list. No wine list on the web site. Manager advises they could not serve our wine as that would be illegal. We settled for a red blend, when brought to the table it was a 2018 vintage (a bit young for a cab blend)
Server was very nice although the wine pour was a bit rough.
Food was excellent, although nothing came to the table at the same time. An additional side not ordered was brought to the table prior to those ordered albeit cold.
Our first time since the fire. It will be some time before we return.
