The meal was served out of order. Sides both came during the appetizer and mostly through the steak. Salads never came. I had to go to the bar to get drink refills for the table.
Steaks were tasty, though. Service was appalling.
Terrible all around
Great meal, good service as always.
Great food and great service! Jason and Freddy who served us now and in the past are the best!
Can’t wait to return!
Not worth the money!
The food is great as usual. The renovation made it lose the character of Sullivan’s. The service was good but lost all connection that usually make your dining experience special. It definitely missing human touch.
It was great I loved the food and the people were grear
I came by while waiting for a flight and was immediately greeting with smiles from the staff. I sat at the bar with Marikate and she was wonderful!! I got there right at shift change and she jumped right behind the bar and helped me out. I will be back in May because of her great service for sure!
While we have eaten there a number of times before, tonight’s experience was a major disappointment.
For entries we had salmon and strip steak, unfortunately both were over salted
The scalloped potatoes were barely warm while the dish was very hot
The dinner tonight could not come close to meals we have had at either Capital Grill or Eddie V’s
It will be a while before we give them another chance as there are many other steak houses that are much better
Hostess was wearing what seemed to be pajamas and Vans sneakers. There was a dank smell when we entered the restaurant.
Asked about corkage fee. $25 unless they offer the wine. iUnfortunately the wine we brought was on their list. No wine list on the web site. Manager advises they could not serve our wine as that would be illegal. We settled for a red blend, when brought to the table it was a 2018 vintage (a bit young for a cab blend)
Server was very nice although the wine pour was a bit rough.
Food was excellent, although nothing came to the table at the same time. An additional side not ordered was brought to the table prior to those ordered albeit cold.
Our first time since the fire. It will be some time before we return.
Inattentive hostess. Seated after 90 min. Food presentation poor and took 1 hr to arrive.
Kitchen was very far behind. Sat for 90 minutes but was not served our meal. Decided to leave. No indication they were on top of the situation.
Server was quite good in keeping us informed.
This is an indication of poor management.
Everything was good between the food and the service. It was just pricey dinner for 2 cost around $140
Awesome experience food came out on time , Olivia was great for our server recommend her for your waitress next time you dine here
The steaks were delicious. The creamed spinach not so creamy. Was runny and needed thickening. Same with the Oscar style hollandaise sauce, very runny not very creamy. Made me think they were in a rush to make it, but the restaurant had maybe 5 tables seated all night. So maybe it was a new cook and lacked the experience. Either way need some work if you want a 5 Star.
Cocktails were excellent and so were the desserts!
My reservation was scheduled 20:00 and I finally got a table at 20:30 it was chaotic, no hostess, they don’t care....poor experience
Since Sillivans was sold you can see a difference in the food & service. When we arrived there was no one at the desk to check in the reservations so we had to track down a server. Food quality is a step down from DelFrisco's but still acceptable
We’ve been coming to Sullivan’s for special occasions for years and today fell short to say the least. It took a half hour to get seated with a reservation and another 20 to get a drink once sat. Our steak was cold and took forever and the worst part was by the end of the meal (at 9:30pm on a Sat night) the manager was gone when we tried to complain. We will be taking our business elsewhere.
Overall the food was OK (which is not OK!). The mains and sides were over seasoned with salt. I was beside myself with how much was used on the Brussels sprouts and on a Filet Mignon? The spinach was salty but spinach sometimes needs a bit more so in taste, it was better than the Brussels. Cowboy and Wagyu steaks were cooked to perfection. Seafood sampler was nicely chilled but oysters were not plump nor flavorful (a bit too snotty for my liking). Caesar salad dressing and Dipping sauces were very tasty. A steakhouse should be just that... a steak without too much added flavour and for these prices, all should be cooked, presented and served to perfection.
Service was on point for the first and second course but once our main course was served, we were completely forgotten. Maybe they knew the steaks and sides would be a disappointment...? It took 20+ minutes for the server to clear the table (after finishing our steaks, plates were sitting in front of us for 20 min) then asked “if” we wanted dessert. Took another few minutes to received the hefty bill.
Try another true steakhouse - do not believe the hearsay...
Their steaks are just outstanding. Cooked perfectly for me as Pittsburgh rare; my wife’s medium needed a moment back in the kitchen, but then returned perfectly and promptly. Very tasty. Salads were fine; my bananas forster cake was exceptional and my wife claimed the same in her cheesecake. Good steady service. Steaks are pricy but as expected.
I go here every year for my birthday and I am never disappointed! I love this restaurant and especially the blue cheese dressing!
New Years Eve. Special menu - 85 a person. Four course meal with four options for each course. Had reservation but decided to stay at bar seating. Bar was overmatched. No NYE programming on TVs, and live music that was promised wasn’t there. Ran out of Knockout early on, their signature drink. Kitchen ran out of desired appetizer, had to switch, then was told desired dessert was out too. Then right before main course, manager comes out and tells us they are out of mashed potatoes. Steak was undercooked and replacement Mac and Cheese tasted like it was out of a bag. Have been Sullivans fans a long time. 15+ years. Restaurant has been in decline since Del Frisco sell off. Save your money and go to the other options in KOP.
It was a great NYE well spent. The service was spectacular and the restaurant remembered it was our Anniversary and even included rose petals and a card on our table!
Sorry to have to give a negative review, but our experience really was awful. We had a reservation, but did not get seated until at least 10 minutes after the reservation time. No apologies and no indication that they even were concerned that they had missed a reservation time. That alone would not of been a big deal, but then we had to wait at least another 10 minutes before anyone even approached our table. Things went downhill from there. Two hours into our meal, we still have not seen our entrées. When they did come out, the medium well steak was blood red. I felt really bad for our server. He was really nice and trying to help, but there are some serious problems with the management at this place. Simply put, when the servers care more than the management, everything I saw makes a lot of sense.
New Years Eve
Very nice New Years Eve dinner, price fixe menu with lots of choices.
NYE dinner! 85 a person for a 4 course meal was well worth it. It was busy but we were sat 5 minutes before our reservation time in a comfortable booth. Starter/ 1st course: crab cake-amazing! 2nd course: Caesar salad- great 3rd course: rib eye medium- cooked perfectly (brought half home bc it was huge!) for sides we picked the mashed potatoes and Mac n cheese. Everything came out hot and correct which is important to me bc I hate room temperature food. Last course: dessert, creme brûlée which is my all time favorite dessert. We had martinis, the blueberry lemon drop was delicious. Overall I was pleasantly surprised bc I read some bad reviews but from being greeted with the valet opening the doors for us to our funny waiter it was a great experience. Happy new year!
Disappointing steaks once again. Great salad and soup. Overpriced for the quality. Fooled me twice, shame on me
Been going here for years last night was not to the level of the past
I don't know what happened but it's not the same. Very inattentive wait staff, food was lukewarm. Just not worth the money.
Service leaves a lot to be desired. The food came out lukewarm. This is the third time at the restaurant and the same issues every time. Very disappointing.
Food was not as good as Ruth's Chris. Cowboy ribeye was tougher than Ruth's Chris, did not have the most desirable cut. Sullivan's steak sauce was not as good. No flexibility in sides. We had to buy two excessively large sides whereas Ruth's Chris would have allowed us half sized sides. Wine list GROSSLY OVERRPRICED. Would gladly recommend Ruth's Chris, not Sullivan's
One of our guests had their steak come out overcooked twice. They forgot one of our sides - sweet potato casserole. Rushed it through and it tasted burned. They did take it off our check. Used to be one of my favorite steak houses but I was really disappointed.
Not the experience I expected from a pricey steak house. They were out of 2 basic menu items I ordered. My water glass was never refilled, my fork was wiped off for me to reuse, and I was not offered a refill for my coffee. The $17 chocolate peanut butter cake was dry - a fitting disappointment, topping off disappointing entrees.
There were 6 of us and the food was hit or miss! Truthfully, not up to my experience at other Sullivan’s location! My Ahi Tuna was bland! Others felt their dinners were okay. The service was really subpar. Waitress Got one order completely wrong, and told us the asparagus side would be end for the table (4 stalks didn’t do it).
With so many other dinning options in the King of Prussia area we’ll try a different place next month.
The hostess was beyond rude and bartender was the same. The only saving grace was the very polite and efficient server Elizabeth. She was great. Mediocre food. Won’t be going back
The ambience was dingy. It felt out of date. The wait staff tried but it was slow and inefficient. Wait staff did not multi task. We were seated at table 45 mins late. Food was ok. I don't think I would come back. Utensils were dirty as well as glasses.
Sullivan's Steakhouse - King of Prussia is a great place with good food and incredible service... EXCEPT for any holiday or special event. During holidays or special events that staff is very rude due to being overworked and understaffed. Sullivan's over books and can't keep up. We have been dined on Valentines day and Christmas. Both were very poor experiences with staff complaining about being understaffed. On every other day Sullivan's is outstanding.
We had a nice dinner here on Christmas. Because of the holiday, they were super busy and pretty short-staffed, so we had to wait about a half hour to be seated and the entire meal took almost 3 hours. For us it was fine as we wanted to visit and enjoy each other's company and our meal. Others were not as patient. The food was good. Our server was really busy as he was the only one in our section, but he was pleasant and remembered specific requests & drink orders. Overall we enjoyed it. I'd like to visit another time that is not a major holiday & so busy.
We ordered filets, 8 oz medium and 12 oz medium rare. When they came, the 8 oz was well less than medium, so it was sent back for another minute or so on the grill. When it came back, it was overdone and tough. My 12 oz one turned out to be medium. Evidently the orders were reversed. Additionally, the Caesar salad had to much dressing. And, finally, the potatoes were under cooked.
