This was my first time there, everything was excellent! A really nice atmosphere, delicious food, and great service.
Unfortunately the filet mignon arrived burnt on the edges vs. well done/no pink as requested.

We were happy over all. But three of four of us ordered the NY Strip on the "Restaurant week" menu and all three were VERY highly salty. The 4th person ordered filet and raved about it. Overall a nice night out though.
It was restaurant week so the value was great! I will admit the lobster bisque was on the salty side but my filet was cooked perfectly. Our waitress was wonderful, just the right amount of attentiveness. Will definitely be back!

Overall...”meh.” Glad I went during restaurant week, paid $250 for an OK meal for four, would have been really irritated to have paid regular prices for this. My NY strip was thinner than you’d find in a supermarket and initially was undercooked. My wife’s filet was overcooked and they forgot to bring one of her sides and the peppercorn sauce she ordered. Then they forgot the strawberries on on of the two cheesecakes we ordered.
Waitstaff was pleasant and responded quickly once prompted, but the whole experience lacked a “premium” feel...Nothing here to choose Sullivan’s over Capitol Grille.
My wife and I attended Restaurant Week. We each ordered the 8 oz. filet medium rare. Her’s was medium and mine was rare. They brought us two more and her’s was cooked properly while mine was well (charred) around the entire filet and medium rare in the middle (how they accomplished that is beyond me). The desserts were delicious, however we both ordered the same thing and both portions were drastically different in size. Where is the quality control in the kitchen? Same items going out to the same table should be uniform. When the check came they did not give any type of compensation for the steaks being sent back. Expected better

Whet during Resturant week, and was still impressed with the quality of their food , and our waitress showed excellent service with the Resturant being so busy.
Food was not as good as it used to be. Drinks were very overpriced in comparison with other high-end restaurant.

service at the bar was horribly slow. it took almost 15 minutes to get a drink. it was not busy at the bar.

Expensive, bland food. Mismatched and outdated decor. Our server was super nice and the only positive about the whole experience.
I took my daughter and boyfriend and they really enjoyed themselves. They would really like to go back again so hopefully later on this year we will be returning.
The food was great but the service was far to be desired. We had a reservation set for over a week and still had to wait a decent amount of time for a table.. By the time we finally sat down it was another 20 minutes before the server acknowledged us "Ill be with you in two seconds" .. 15 minutes later she refused to take our order because she "had another table waiting for drinks" .. It was an hour before we got our food and No the restaurant was not extremely packed by the time we were served.
My husband and I enjoyed our dinner. I had the filet mignon and my husband had the NY strip steak. I had the banana foster bread pudding. It was so good.
The food and value were exceptional. The noise level is off putting. I doubt that I will go back because it was so noisy it ruined the whole experience.
There are many steak houses within a mile and we were disappointed in the speed of service, the temperature and preparation of the comp'ed appetizer. Our server was very personable but it looked like they were understaffed. And we were there during Restaurant Week and the place was not full or even very busy!

I came especially for the Prime Rib Sunday. It was Ok. I usually get my prime rib from Harry Savor in Wilmington, DE.
There is no comparison. Harry Savor is 100% better. Sorry.

Yesterday was my first time at Sullivan's Steak house. We made a reservation for 8:30pm. Upon arrival there was no one at the greeting station and a fairly large group of people waiting to speak to someone. After about 15 minutes someone showed up and I waited in line to let them know we had arrived. Fast forward to 9:15pm we were finally seated. 45 minutes with a reservation and visible open tables is absolutely unacceptable to me. Instead of someone giving us updates along the way, myself and others waiting had to search people down and ask what was going on with our tables. We were told other people had to wait an hour as if we should feel lucky and not frustrated. Dave, DJ, and Erin were the coordinating staff to manage seatings and I can honestly tell you their ability to kindly communicate, be present, and reassure customers was lacking. They were cold and almost completely unbothered by the fact that there was a growing group of frustrated people. The most bizarre thing for me was that they almost purposefully barely came to the front service desk where everyone was standing. Once we were seated our waitress Heather was amazing, kind, and attentive. The steaks were great. The spinach and mushroom sides were great. I would skip the cauliflower side (wasn't cooked long enough and was hard). If it were just about the food I would definitely come back, however the horrible service in the beginning really tainted my perspective. To be fair in my review - they did comp a portion of our bill at end, however a genuine sorry from the manager with the comp would have been a much better way to handle the situation.
Great place great ambience. My reasoning for less than 5 stars is management needs to step it up, I had a reservation and I waited an hour to get seated. They were shorthanded and they used personnel at the host stand that should have not have been put in that position since they were not trained beforehand. Host did a terrible job.
We had a 7:15 reservation and we're not seated until 7:45. Very disappointing.
Saturday night 3/9. Absolutely horrible management. Had a 7:15pm reservation on Open Table. They said they were running 15 mins late. No problem. Had a drink in the bar. Kept checking in. Kept getting nonsense from host. We were not the only party an hour plus in waiting after reservation without a table. Could see kitchen joking and screwing around. Horrible management. By 8:15 - an hour after reservation - walked out. My suggestion - clean sweep of management and start over. Good luck getting in to this place on time and with a great meal. Absolutely the worst experience in a restaurant. Will never ever come back to Sullivan’s. Went to Davio’s and had a great dinner at a professional restaurant.

First time at Sullivan’s at our initial entrance due to the rudeness of our host I thought our experience was going to be horrible. However we had an awesome waiter Michael who was one of the best waiters we have ever experienced. His quality to detail and excellence service made our dinner experience absolutely superb. It is my new favorite restaurant.

I have held off a few days to see if anyone from the restaurant was going to contact me and to no surprise they didn't. Not my first time to Sullivans and went to celebrate a family members birthday that they knew about in advance. Apparently it was training night. First the host clearly did not want to be there based by his cold fish welcome and attitude. Second, our waitress was distracted from us by training the new helper. Third, The birthday member in our group received an entirely wrong steak than what was ordered leaving him to sit empty plated while the rest of the party ate dinner. Another host offered to remove the steak from the check, as I noted to him that I didn't expect to pay for a steak that was wrong and or not on time. This is expected from an upscale restaurant. Fourth, I actually had to get up and track down someone to clear dishes from our table as they were all distracted by training and another troubled table! Don't get me wrong you can always be critical of something in a restaurant but this visit clearly crossed the line of what is supposed to be represented.
Birthday celebration, our server was very nice and very efficient but unfortunately when they are training new employees it seems as though customer service was lacking. With that being stated food and service once seated was good.
If you want to dine at a location that knows how to mix a drink, serve a delightful meal and be treated in a professional unobtrusive manner, this is the place.

Rude maitre d', good waitress, good food. Don't even bother making a reservation. May as well just show up and wait in the lobby, not in the bar if you want a table. Bar staff and waitress were great.
Open Table reservation was for 7:15pm. Upon arrival at 7pm we were informed that there would be a long wait with 6 tables ahead of our party of 5. We told the check in person that we would be in the bar. We ordered drinks and appetizers at the bar. Told bar waitress we were waiting for table. She checked with front desk after we had waited an hour and said they had texted us several times that our table was ready. Check in desk never told us that we would be texted when table was ready. Maitre d' told us that he looked for us in the bar. Sure enough, I did have two texts but since we didn't know that's how they would contact us, my phone was safely tucked away in my purse. No one stopped by our table or called out our name. Maitre d' must not have walked more than a couple of feet into the bar before giving our table away. He was rude when questioned why we weren't notified of table availability. With so many excellent restaurant choices in the area, we will not return. I would expect at least an apology. Not from this unprofessional maitre d'. Why would Sullivan's tolerate such a poor representative?
Food was “just ok”. Drinks were good. Service was good. Dessert was not served hot. They took it off bill.
Everything was excellent except that the bartenders didn’t know how to make a Mojito
