We have not been to Sullivan’s since before the pandemic and things sure have changed.
They did not have the bottle of wine we requested from the menu.
The plate was sparse, three stalks of asparagus with a 10 oz. steak?
The steak was extremely over seasoned.
We ordered off the price fixed list due to the cost of a steak being nearly $50.00.
Service was good, server seamed “extremely wired” and it was a little “over the top”.
Many other places to get a good steak in Indianapolis where the ambiance is better and you can get a better value for your money.
Wonderful quality steaks cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure our steaks were cooked to order and we were satisfied. Pricey, but worth it for a special night out.
Our waiter September, was delightful and on top of our need to leave on time for an event. The steaks were great but the mashed potatoes are somewhat dry The sides are huge. Plenty to share with the table.
Aaron is the greatest manager!
We went for our anniversary. The staff recognized the event from the time we arrived. Our server (Evan) was pleasant patient and made the evening special.
Service was very good but the food not so much for the price.
Simply stated this was one of the worst food experiences I have had in a restaurant of this caliber.
Lobster Bisque was basically orange cream
Spinach was ok
Tomahawk ribeye âged steak was awful, had no flavor, no fat, was as tender as leather bag could taste like 💩
Their specialty - Scallops Oscar style 🤮. Imagine if you took frozen scallops, nuked them, then poured 1000 island sauce over Imitation crab meat, except scallops were not cooked all the way through and were chewy.
Finally for desert - key lime pie, I took a pic of this horrible creation, it was purple with arrangement of lime shavings, and what looked like sriracha sauce but was actually strawberry purée attempt. It smelled like dirty underwear. 🤮
Banana Bread pudding: imagine flavored warm banana bread. Except crunchy, because it was not Fresh.
The best thing that night was an ice cream scoop. And tonic water with lime.
Apparently their chef is a vegetarian.
I’ve lived in Indy 15 years ago, came back for a weekend, wanted to try a steak house - this is not the Sullivans I remembered.
Awful. Simply awful.
Ate in bar area. Food good
It was great!
Delicious as usual. I had the crab cakes and they were the best I have ever had, chunks of crab. My husband had the filet, cooked exactly right and delicious. We also had bread and garlic mashed potatoes. Everything was great! It is a little pricey, but high quality!
Awesome! Birthday celebration and food was delicious.
Food was really good. Service good.
Really average, maybe why I haven’t been there in a while. Could not manage keeping my water glass full. Food just ok. Nice place , nice decor, not very well done, used to be one of the best.
The food was great as always this is my favorite steakhouse.
The food was amazing and the price for our steak special was great
Great food. Good environment. Average service. Not a bad experience but not a great one.
Was good as usual. The manager and the lady that seats you were real good. Was our anniversary. They did a good job. Our waitress was good. She kept taking items off table and still needed some. But she was good.
Service was excellent. Food was good. We had one steak which was overcooked but they replaced it immediately with a perfect one.
Our anniversary was perfect!! The food was great, ambiance, everything was amazing. Our waiter, Keetin? (Spelling or name may be mispronounced) was AWESOME too. Will definitely be back!!
Excellent meal! Food was tasty and delivered hot. Great service. Enjoyed our visit very much.
Very nice, as always. Sat inside (no real patio space). Seated quickly. Service was good. Food was good and steaks were perfectly prepared. We were not rushed at all on a Sat evening. They seemed very conscious of taking precautions re: Covid. The only thing that concerned me a bit was that the mask the waitress was wearing was ill fitting. It was very low on her nose and she kept pushing it up, thereby touching her mask/face a lot. Prices were reasonable. We all got the prix fare 3 course meal
Very good as usual, no issues. AAAA+++++
My wife and I usually celebrate our anniversary at Sullivans and love it. This year even during g Covid, Sullivans did not disappoint. Devour Indy is usually happening around this time, but not this time. Even still, the menu has been condensed and was still very affordable for such an excellent meal. We will be back next year!
Going for Restaurant Week made everything better for us!
Madyson was awesome
Was a nice evening for our first visit to Sullivan’s. No problems or issues, used the Devour Indy menu since it was offered and it had good options.
Always amazing! Excellent all around!! Thank you!!!
Excellent service, by far one of the best staffs in the city. The food was great, but nothing beats going to a nice restaurant and having the staff pick up on the vibe at the table. We wanted to have a nice meal, spend some time with our older/adult children and enjoy a meal. Our server picked up on the the situation was accommodating. Highly recommend
They had plenty of staff however their attention was not on diners.
Late BD celebration ... Bartender, was amazing
Our waitress was the best!! Great food and great experience!!
I was disappointed in the cod entree. Flavorless even though topped with butter and broiled. Should have ordered the filet.
The waitstaff was phenomenal food was great and had absolutely zero complaints we go there again in a heartbeat
food was dry, was not offered a wine selection, everything had to be asked for not offered, server had no personality, one hostess should stay at the front and not leave as we saw people come in and walk through the bar without a mask.
We enjoyed a quiet steak and seafood dinner at Sullivan's. The scallops were excellent! The service was good, although we felt a bit rushed by our server.
Great covid precautions.. felt very safe
Once we were seated , we waited for about 10 minutes until someone finally came to talk to us, and it was not even our waiter. Not sure if our waiter was new or had too many tables, but we got our first course and I was half way through my soup before we even got our wines served. He kept on rushing us to order the rest of the courses. He offered us bread and we said yes, but it didn’t get delivered until our main course was served, and it was after reminding him about it. My filet was good, but my husband’s was very salty and dry. He also had to return the wine, which was recommended by our waiter, as it tasted old and just not good. He did bring a sample of the alternate one before pouring to make sure it was to his liking. Overall, not the experience and quality I am used to getting at Sullivan’s. Perhaps Covid has to do with it.
Filets were excellent, my grandson 16oz ribeye was very tough and almost impossible to chew. Being only 13 he never complained or i would have sent it back. Only having an overpriced fixed menu was a very bad idea when I had four children ages 7,8,13,15. Limited options not good with children.
While we have dined at Sullivans many times in the past we find each experience excellent on service and food quality.
