This was our first time dining at Sullivan’s. I can’t say enough about the ambiance, the staff and the food. It made our anniversary one to remember. Whenever we are back in the Charlotte area, Sullivan’s is definitely one restaurant we will visit again and again.
First, when we pulled up the valet guys were on point. Then he told me he loved our green. When we walked in, they greeted us by name, being we were reserve for 5pm, opening. They seated us until they were ready for us. Quickly, they came, got us and seated us. The table setting was amazingly beautiful for our anniversary. Everyone from the managers were very nice, smiles galore, everything was lovely. food, the wine, the drinks were absolutely great. Bob, the waiter, was amazing, he made sure we were comfortable and we'll taken care of. Along with the whole staff. We will visit Sullivan's again.. They took our pik at the end of dinner and handed it back with the whole gang signatures.. Love Sullivan's Steakhouse.. Not one complaint.
Premier steakhouse did not deliver a premier steak. Ordered the Wagyu medium rare and was served medium to well. The meat was extremely dry. The seasoning was good. They did offer to replace but I declined. Instead we opted for dessert.
We brought my Mom & Dad for their 80th birthdays. The food was delicious, the
ambience was perfect and our waiter Chris was absolutely fantastic, he made our
dining experience Amazing!!!!!
The Hull Family
Great service, prompt and knowledgeable. Food was decadent and delicious. Delightful experience, though it is noisy. Because of design it was hard to have a private/easy conversation. Music was much louder than I recall previously.
My husband and I love Sullivan’s and try to go each time we stay over in Charlotte for early flight the next morning. Alway a favorite and they never disappoint. Valet parking is very convenient and welcomed.
My ladies Birthday. Food was excellent once we got plates to eat it from. Honestly though nothing that can’t be made on a backyard grill. Spoke to the very nice manager more than my server. Had to ask three times to get more than a bread plate to share appetizer on. Portions are large but hey it’s Sullivan’s and the price is always a little silly. All in all we stuffed ourselves stupid had a good time and we’re satisfied. The Bananas foster Bread pudding did not make it into the to go box. Lol
The meal was simply outstanding! Not only was the filet done to perfection, but all the accoutrements were also wonderful. The special dessert was out of the world. Bob, our server, was attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. It couldn’t have been better.
I had a fantastic birthday dinner experience. Much appreciation to the great staff.
I asked for a booth during the reservation. Be sure to specify "Not near the kitchen or bathroom".
They got my order wrong but it was so good I decided to keep it instead of waiting for them to redo it while my date let her meal get cold or awkwardly ate while I watched.
They don't wait for everyone at the table to finish before picking up plates, which makes those still eating feel rushed. Good places know not to do this. They started cleaning up the restaurant around everyone while we were eating dessert. Busboy bumped our table with the trashcan as he rushed past.
Overall good food but not a very professional staff at all.
Our server Chris was AMAZING! Offered drink options that we tried and he definitely did not steer us wrong. He was one of the servers I’ve ever had.
Food and service were great but we were literally having to yell across the table at times to talk. This is our 3rd time going here. The first was wonderful, the second was good but very loud. Decided to give it another try. It was far worse than the second time. Not the atmosphere you should expect when paying $200+ per person. Won’t be back.
Very noisy. Difficult to hear our waiter or to converse with my dining companion.
Great food new waiter that tried hard and will be great. My complaint here has always been fish camp seating Entirely to jammed in and sit on top of each other and their mark up on wine is higher than any other high end restaurant in Charlotte. These two complaints makes this a real disappointment over what it could and should be
The filet was perfect, the baked cauliflower outstanding, and the Smith & Hook wine paired well with the meal.
We arrived at 6 pm ordered a glass of wine and a beer as we waited for our table . Our table was called i asked the bar maid could i take my bill to the table she said no, so i paid there. 15 minutes later 3 couples who were at the bar with us were seated and brought their bar tab by the waitress that told us no. I looked for eye contact and she ignored us. Then we ordered our food and they brought us the wrong orders, the maitre d then came over and stated that the meal was free and he would comp the meal and bring us our proper orders (he was 6 feet tall , beard , glasses , in a dark suit). He never brought the right orders and the waitress tried to over charge us (169.00) our bill was suppose to be 75.00 less due to a promotional package , we told the waitress and she just smiled.
Always great food and service! Great for special occasions.
An Anniversary dinner--treated to a glass of prosecco and dessert. Staff very friendly and service top notch.
Site should indicate that parking (free) is in a ramp next door and valet parking is available..
Great attention and service.
We had a wonderful time. Our server was very attentive even when it was busy. They made our night very special.
Everything was awesome, friendly stuff, romantic and food was delicious
Food was very good. The restaurant seemed very disorganized and our waiter was not very attentive. Also seemed to lack leadership as no management stopped in to check on our experience. Because the food was so good would go back again - but a 2nd time like this even with the good food it would be a long time before I would return.
Very accomadat ing and friendly staff. Food was delicious
The experience was amazing. Food was wonderful. Our server was the best I've had in years. An allover great experience. I will definitely be back in the future.
I love coming to Sullivan's. The steak is always great, and the bananas foster dessert is simply divine. I've always had great service here and have enjoyed every meal.
The meal was excellent, had the Cowboy bone-in rib-eye and wife had the "Sure thing". The Staff were great.
A bit of a disappointment. We had reservations for 6:30 on a Saturday. The hostess took us through the restaurant to our table...only to find out our table was taken. So it was back to the front to come up with another table. They found one and we were seated. Waitress came in a timely manner and asked what we wanted to drink. My girlfriend ordered wine...I asked for tea. Very soon she brought the wine...but didn’t bring my tea...which I eventually got when my meal came. That struck me as odd...I would have expected that to come when she brought the wine. My girlfriend ordered the filet...I ordered a ribeye. Her filet was fine...but my ribeye had the consistency of shoe leather...it was very tough. I know ribeye may not be the most tender cut of steak...but when I pay $210 for a meal...I expect better. I’ve eaten at Sullivan’s before and thought it was excellent...so perhaps this was an off night. I’d certainly go back again...but would order a different cut of meat.
Nice waitress but when large party came in we were neglected. I ordered a medium--my husband a rare. Those were switched. (Different cuts--so not as easy as changing plates). Otherwise food was good. But they need to work on service. No longer the high end classplace it was a few years ago. Now it is moreLonghorns but without decent service.
Absolutely fabulous!! Michael was our server and he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. I did not feel any racism from anyone who worked there. This is why you feel great about a $300.00 plus dinner.. Attention to detail, customer service, great food, they treat you right. My wife and I were floating on air when we finally decided to leave... Thank you for doing everything right Sullivans..
We saw the $39 sure thing advertised good until Feb 20th. We went the 17th and was told they were not offering the sure thing , So she went to talk to the manager and he came over to talk to us, I showed him the ad so he talked to his team and came back to say we could get the sure thing, But why advertise it if you’re not going to do it? This was our second trip to Sullivan’s in the last 60 days and we were supremely disappointed. The last experience was sub-par due to food not being prepared properly and the stiff not being attentive to the factors surrounding that experience and this experience was more of the same.
After ordering our meal, we waited 45 plus minutes for it to arrive. All four of our party ordered seafood. Which cooks very quickly. Two of the four meals came out Luke-warm at best. They fixed replacements and one of them came to the table and was bit cooked properly. They offered a addition side item and them didn’t bring it to the table.
I understand restaurants get busy, but when I select an upscale restaurant where I’m going to spend $100/person to eat dinner I expect a level of service that is a step above the average restaurant. Sullivan’s missed the mark on my last two visits, I’m not sure I’ll go back. There are too many options for me to go to a place that couldn’t get it right for me. Perfect is a high bar, but when I pay $50 for a steak, they should cook it properly.
Had to wait for reservation but service and food was great once we got our table
Booth requested was not available when we arrived. Several items requested were not what we expected. For example, a sauce we liked was watered down. The martini glass was reduced in size. Also, the wait staff looked like they had been replaced, so we felt no connection.
When you pay $45 or more for a steak, and meals often cost +$150, the service and food should be exceptional. Sullivan’s is part of the Del Frisco chain of high end steakhouses. Therein lies the problem in my opinion. Corporate restaurants often trade good service and food quality for better margins. Both of our steaks were ordered medium, but they came close to rare, even a little cold. The garlic mashed potatoes tasted as if they came out of a box. The service was ok, but we didn’t get the value we come to expect. I’m not willing to pay for subpar food quality and lack of attention to detail. We won’t be dining at Sullivan’s again.
The food was excellent...what we have always expected every time we take the long drive to Charlotte. The salad and filet was incredible....even the bake potato was great! We also tried the Bread pudding which we always try to get through because its so delicious if you like bread pudding. Overall it was a very nice meal.
Our experience was awesome the waiter was very friendly and courteous the food was delicious the place was so beautiful and the time we had there was excellent
We went for our anniversary and they treated us so well! Very romantic. High recommend.
Very disappointed in food but service was impeccable, not sure what happened to food quality, Caesar salad was over cheesy and way too much dressing, ny strip was dry and over cooked, ordered medium rare??
This experience was very good compared to the prior time I had. Very good. Glad I have Sullivan’s another chance!
