Sulivans is a little pricy but a great upscale restaurant. The service is excellent and the food is amazing. The fillet melts in your mouth and has a perfect seat. They have a huge selection of wine if you are a wine drinker. Like I said it is a little pricey so if you have never been try it out on queens feast. Also great for special occasions.

The staff were excellent. We celebrated our 36th anniversary and received special attention. We've gone to Sullivan's for the past 12 years because of the great food and the quality of service.

Nothing less than absolutely wonderful! From our greeting at the door until tipping the valet as we left the entire event was the best experience I’ve had at a restaurant in a very long time. A little pricey but for a special occasion worth every single red cent!!! I will most assuredly return to Sullivan’s!!

For the first time I had a bad experience on New Years Day. The service was not good, the bread was too hard and the sides and appetizers were cold.

Went for NYE. While the menu was great, our server was TERRIBLE. There were countless people seated at the same time as me and my husband and they had their meal and was out the door before we even got our main course. I would try the establishment again during a non holiday because the food was very tasty.

New Year’s Eve. We were in a back room with a terrible draft through the windows, the people around us were complaining about their meals being cold. The manager put their cold steaks back on the grill rather than making them a new steak so then I got to hear them complain about that the entire time. We have always had excellent experiences at Sullivans until now.

Terrible dining experience on New Years Eve. Appetizer (crab cake) was cold. After notifying server, a new crab cake was brought out which was also cold. Our steaks were both only lukewarm and both were sent back. When returned they brought out the very same steaks that were now hot but charred (burned) on the outside. This is a very cheap and unsatisfactory way of doing business when all they needed to do was cook new steaks. Timothy, another manger, came back and offered a new steak after we made him aware of the new problem. They did comp the meal but ruined our New Years Eve experience. At least our server was responsive and understanding.

I visited Sullivan's for the first time on New Year's Eve for dinner with my husband. The food was great, but my overall experience was poor. Upon arrival we were seated at a table for 2. There was an available booth directly across from us. I asked if we could move to the booth by the young lady doing the seating and was told that only parties of 4 could sit there. However, she said that she'd check. Well not only did she not return, but 5 mins later she sat another couple there.

Also, our waitress was dropping dishes while talking to us which was very bad. Then upon our departure, no one acknowledged the fact that we were leaving by at least thanking us for coming, but rather just watched us walk out the door.

I frequent the Capital Grill and expected our service experience to be very similar in that their establishment makes it priority to ensure that all customers are 100% satisfied. Hopefully someone from your management team will care about our poor experience and respond.

Started out Great - went downhill fast.

Went to Sullivans for Dinner on New Years to celebrate my husbands birthday. They had a prix fixe menu 4 courses $75 dollars a plate. Wasn't aware of this - but it was my husband choice for dinner so we went with it - it was my treat for his birthday. Ordered off the menu adding lobster tail (+$20) and Steak Oscar Style (+$11) to our entrees - along with a few drinks.

First two courses came out in record time - our main course was delayed and delayed. They had given our order to another table. Once our steaks arrived they were hot - but everything else was stone cold. Ever tried to eat cold lobster, cold cream spinach and cold mashed potato's? Wasn't very appetizing and I was very disappointed; not to mentioned embarrassed by the situation. I did complain and was offered 1/2 off our dinner. I didn't want 1/2 off - I wanted the hassle free evening - I had planned and booked for my spouses birthday. Its not always about getting a deal - or paying less. You don't go to Sullivans looking for a BOGO - you go to Sullivans for great food and a great experience.

The staff was friendly, apologetic and attempted to overcome an unfortunate situation. But the experience was not one I care to repeat.

I was disappointed wanted to have a nice night out with my granddaughter who was visiting Charlotte. We had visited other steak houses on other visits and had great experience so this time I chose Sullivan's, steak was a little fatty steak did not come out with sides had to wait to long between steak and sides coming to table. Was not offered signature sauce for our steak had to ask for pepper for our table. Overall dining experience was disappointing. Waiter was polite but service just not what I expected for this restaurant.
Young men at valet were very good and thank you to them for being there.

Did not like higher price subs being suggested

The service was just ok at best, which is a fail in my boom. When I go to upscale restaurant I expect exceptional service and they missed the mark. The server was not as attentive as we expected and the restaurant was at about 20% capacity. I ordered a steak to be cooked medium and it showed up well done. When they charge $50 for a steak, they should know how to cook it to the proper temperature as ordered. The cocktails were not very well mixed either. When I received my steal cooked properly all of my sides were cold.

We dined on a Tuesday night so it was slow. We walked in and there was an odd scent and the feel of the place reminded me of an old hotel. We were seated at one of those half round tables that for two people is awkward, but we obliged. My filet was not cooked nearly close to what I asked for and it took another 10 minutes to prepare it properly. I was unsure of the overly salty bordelaise sauce that was drenched over top of my filet. The positive notes were the service, bread, salad and wine. Do yourself a favor and skip the dessert. The key lime pie and cheesecake left a lot to be desired. Will not return.

Went to Sullivans for our Christmas Eve dinner- had a wonderful time. Service was on on cue and knowledgeable of their menu options.
Food is pricey but well worth it- ordered the NY strip, which was one of the better steaks I’ve ever had at a restaurant- Sea Bass was very tasty and Oysters were very fresh!
Valet parking is complementary as well.
Highly recommend this place!

Went for Christmas Eve, overall enjoyable and good. Good but not great service. They were very busy for the occasion but service for that caliber of restaurant should be spot on always. Did steak special and there was nothing special about it. Have had much better steaks and side dishes at home. For the cost I would just expect better

We have been big fans of Sullivan's for s long time. We took our kids for our third year in a row to Sullivan's for a family Pre Christmas dinner. So disappointed. Service was terrible. Our waiter totally disappeared. We had to ask other staff to get him several times. He was not Polished, personable or st all professional. It has lost a step. The first year we went they took our pictures, gave us a copy and makes a point to talk to everyone. The food, atmosphere and terrible service will drive us to a new location next year.

I was extremely disappointed in Sullivan's Steakhouse and can say that I will probably never go back. I have dined there many times but this was an absolute disaster. We arrived about 45 minutes early for our 9:15 PM reservation so we could have some drinks in the bar. The host told us we could probably be seated in 20 minutes so that was good news.

After getting a table in the bar area for the 5 of us, we waited at least 10 minutes before anyone even addressed us. There were 2 bartenders and only one server in the bar from what we could tell. After our drink order, it took another 10 minutes to be served and the server forgot one of our drinks. After flagging him down, he explained they didn't have the brand of beer for my customer, so he ordered something else. That took another 10 possibly 15 minutes. We weren't happy about this situation and the bar wasn't even full at this time, maybe at 75%.

After being seated about 9:45 with no explanation, I asked so see the manager. He popped over to our table about 10 PM with a serious attitude asking what the problem was. I was done at this point.

Dinner took forever to get ordered and we finally got our food about 10:45. Of course, they forgot our side dishes, every one of them. We did receive those as we were finishing dinner. Not sure what was happening this Saturday evening on 12/16, but it was quite a train wreck all in all. What's more embarrassing is that I had two clients in from out of town for the weekend for the Packers games and this was our big dinner out. Not a great experience at all and unfortunately it's one we will remember for a long time.

Waited 20 minutes for our reservation. Food was amazing . Service was fair, and not entirely the server’s fault. Waited 20 minutes for 1 drink and 1 glass of wine. Ordered another drink when meal was delivered. Never got it and when server was clearing , she said she would bring it soon. Also , it was my husband’s 50 th birthday. No special dessert or drink , though I had specified in the reservation. Disappointed that service was not great. A bit rushed.

Sadly, this is the worst we have seen at Sullivan's. The wait staff is excellent, the service is outstanding, but the food was terrible. We have been going to Sullivan's for 12 years now. It has always been our go to place for Birthdays, Anniversary's, Graduation, etc. But this time was a bust. First, the order was wrong and they brought us the wrong food. That was okay, and they fixed it but the steak we finally got was awful. I asked if the meat was Prime or Choice and the Chef assured me it was Prime. Well, they need a new supplier of meat. Our steaks were tough, full of grizzle, and barely chewable. I sent the first steak back and the second was as bad as the first. I really like the people there, and the Chef was nice and professional, but the quality of the steaks was worse than any I have experienced including Long Horn and some of the other not so special places. Answer! Get a new meat supplier. I am hesitant to go back, but I guess I will just to see if they made any improvement. It was a busy night, and like I said above, the staff was very good. I felt like I should have stopped after the lettuce wedge.

Food and atmosphere was nice. Food was under cooked, the waitress immediately took the food back to the kitchen and it was cooked longer. Did not have to wait long for the food to come back out. The table behind us and in front of us also sent food back to the kitchen. Overall it is a great place to eat, this is the first time we have had to send food back. We will go back.

Soooo bad. Started with dirty bread plate and stained tablecloth. Salad was smothered with dressing. Sent steak back twice due to overcooking....and then undercooking. Side order was salted and salted and salted again. So gross. Steak itself tasted good (kudos to the cow) and the wine was good (kudos to the grapes). Kitchen looked like a hot mess. Staff was inattentive.

If in Charlotte go down the road to Beef and Bottle, much better steak for the same price. Sullivan’s served one of the worst ribeyes we’ve ever had and it cost $50. Rest of food just OK, nothing special. Definitely over priced for the quality.

Our wedding anniversary, and we were late because of traffic, but Sullivan's handled it beautifully. We had a cozy table, a long-stemmed red rose for my wife, a photograph to take home and a dessert with a candle. The staff was terrific. I am so glad that we told Sullivan's it was our anniversary, because they made it special. We are an older couple, so we split a delicious steak and had a very affordable bottle of Cabernet. Sullivan's made it a special night for us.

What happened to this restaurant?
Traveled 4 hours to get together with family in Charlotte for my husband's birthday at Sullivan which we usually love. This evening the food was terrible and we were overcharged which we didn't find out until we returned home.
7:45 pm and the manager said the had ran out of baked potatoes, at a steakhouse? no baked potatoes?. Well, we ordered several other sides but the mashed potatoes were so very salty we couldn't eat them at all. We had 3 steaks total and 4 seafood dishes plus appetizers. All the steaks were cooked poorly. I had the filet medium temperature. It tasted like a piece of sirloin and it was raw on one side while overcooked and dried on the other. I ordered a bisque that I never received but was still charged for and on top of that we were charged twice for one of the steaks (Cowboy cut). My husband and family were so disappointed we decided to leave without desert. The manager kept coming to our table and apologizing as they forgot food, drinks, food was badly seasoned and I can't get over the "no bake potato" when we made a reservation for 8 people way in advance.
This was worst than going to an Outback. Very poor service and quality.
