Garlic Mashed Potatoes
I ordered the 16oz ribeye steak, garlic shrimp and mash potatoes. My mash potatoes were cold and there was an eyelash on my plate with the steak and shrimp. The steak did not come out sizzling or nothing. Food was not great at all! The waitress took my food back and they cooked another steak for me. The second time, the steak was medium well instead of well and the shrimp was cold. I will never go back!
Waiter took so long to bring us drinks, both of our steaks were not cooked how we asked, which we didn’t realize till we already ate through a lot of it. My steak was also very very fatty.
It was overall a great experience. This was my first time but it most definitely won’t be my last.
Compared to other steak houses, this one was very mediocre in terms of food quality, temperature and presentation, while the pricing was similar to better restaurants. In addition, the asparagus was not fresh and the mushrooms lacked any depth. For the price paid, go elsewhere.
The food was good, but i dont think worth the price. And the service took a long time. Our server was great, but they were so short staffed she was the only server working. It wasn’t her fault, but they needed more servers. Overall nice ambiance and ok food. Not worth the price though.
Every year we choose a new restaurant to visit on New Year's Day to start the year off right. Sullivan's was a great choice! The appetizers were phenomenal, we got a half dozen fresh oysters and the ahi tuna. We ordered side salads with our entrees and loved them. He got the cowboy ribeye with a wedge salad and I had the brick chicken with a Caesar. He loved his steak and nearly shed a tear. My chicken was good but it was a little too spicy for me. No worries, he'll have no problem devouring that today. Both salads were fantastic. We ended with coffee and a piece of key lime pie which was absolutely delicious.
Our waiter, Cristhian was awesome! Very attentive and on it. He was working multiple tables and he was impressive how well he did it. Food was amazing, our steaks were done perfectly, wine was delicious. 5 Stars
Reservations were canceled by the restaurant day of reservation due to lack of staFf. Very disappointed since all other restaurants were booked.
Service could be improved. Brought my soup before my husband’s salad. Noticed others had bread brought to them. We had to ask for it. They never refilled my ice tea. She asked if we were ready for the bill without asking if we wanted dessert or coffee.
My meal was great. French onion soup,au gratin potatoes and small fillet.
My husband’s ribeye was not trimmed well and was very tough and chewy.
The restaurant cooked another for him and he took it home as I was finishing up my entry.
They tried to make it it right but wasn’t a nice experience.
Food was not good, steaks over cooked and dry. Scallops Salty and dry. Burger for my daughter was burnt and overcooked. Was not at all worth the money that was spent.
The restaurant needs a life cycle renovation. Weathered an beat up.
Very pleased with my visit. Food was wonderful! Service was outstanding, will return again soon!
We ordered three filets medium and all were cooked differently. One was way over cooked. Chicken Caesar salad had hardly any chicken on it.
Our server was great!! She was in her game. The rest of the staff was great as well. Philly Cheesesteak Egg rolls and Calamari were phenomenal. Sadly, 4 of the 6 steaks were over cooked. The 2 bone-in Ribeyes were really over cooked. Barely any pink, ordered them Medium as we were advised that would be a. Right pink center. All the sides were lack luster. Creamed spinach was the best of all the sides ordered. We had the Mac & cheese, Au Gratin Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts - meh! No flavor really. Lobster Bisque was very good. Wedge salad lacked a good blue cheese flavor. Restaurant was not sold out at 7 pm on Christmas Eve. Plenty of empty tables.
Overall was a good experience. Only complaint I had was when I ordered the 12 oz filet, I was given a NY strip instead. Due to time constraints I didn’t want to have it sent back. The special dessert for our anniversary was very nice.
Not much to say. Sullivan’s is always excellent. Since it was close to Christmas, it might have been a little more festively decorated.
Service was excellent! It is nice to see quiet ambiance is alive and well. The food and drink were very good.
Always constantly outstanding food, service and ambiance!
Awesomeness on service and food selections... professionalism very much appreciated, prompt, and staff is very well educated on all aspects of their menu... absolutely recommend this establishment, took my lady for her birthday.
Bday was nice
It was a great atmosphere but the food was just okay. It seems very overpriced to not have been a great meal. The mashed potatoes were cold. Our waitress seemed to get annoyed with our questions as the menu is not very descriptive
The experience was fantastic. The live music set the night on fire. Those two gentlemen made our night!
The food was excellent as was the waitstaff.
The food was awesome and the portion sizes was enough for two people. The bone in cowboy, was the biggest and juiciest I ever had. The atmosphere was relaxing and the music was just right for the holidays.
Me and my friend were in for the weekend from Atlanta - and a friend recommended we go to Sullivans Steakhouse because they knew we love a good steakhouse. From the moment we sat down at the table everything was drastically slow. Server didn’t get to us until 10 mins later - then from there drinks took a while to get to us. We ordered a shrimp cocktail (which was actually probably the best thing we tried - and that’s not saying much) , ceasar salad the lettuce was old and wilted. Steak came out as rare when we asked for medium rare and when we brought it up to the server she stated “you asked for medium rare do you want medium well?” ,,, Huh ? I stated I know what I asked for and no I don’t want medium well as I felt very profiled on that statement. Au Gratin potatoes were terrible so we switched it out for the Mac and cheese and when I tell you the Mac and cheese noodles were huge shells that weren’t cooked all they way! With a fake cheese sauce added in - me and my guest were just over it at that point, I served for 8 years out of my life at a fine dining establishment and this was probably the worst experience I have ever had at a fine dining establishment. I expect service that I would give to someone to be given to me and they definitely missed the mark.
Everything was Ahhhmaaazing!!
Overall for a business which markets itself as a premium steakhouse, it is at the lower end of all chop houses in Charlotte. You are paying premium prices for average food. Probably my last experience at Sullivan’s
Manager (Morgan ) was very rude. Waiter was unorganized. We were seated for 2 hours with only being served appetizer. We were lied to with a response as to why our food was late. We as guest saw other guest of didn’t race being served with their food with no wait. We were not treated far at all and will NEVER go back.
Finishing the first semester of nursing school
The service was pretty good, better at first, but declined towards the end of the meal. My husband’s lobster was cold, my salmon was a little mushy. We asked for our leftovers to be boxed and they threw away about half of our order of sautéed mushrooms instead of boxing them. Béarnaise sauce came out cold. Overall it was a decent experience but the value/service level doesn’t align with the prices and reputation.
Fantastic evening celebrating my daughter's 19th birthday. Food and drinks were both excellent. What made everything better was our cheery server, Shantay. She used my name throughout the evening, was prompt with approaching the table to take orders, refill drinks, and ensuring everything was perfect. Honorable mention also to the gentleman who setup the table and brought water at the beginning. We had a little water spill problem and he was fantastic at cleaning up our mess and drying up the table. Great evening overall.
Great dinner with family.
We had Thanksgiving dinner at this restaurant. The ambience was poor, no music at all, only silverware sounds! Food presentation could be better! Service was average…
Very Busy Thanksgiving evening, food and service were great.
We dined on Thanksgiving and it was tremendous. The staff was very pleasant even though they had to work the holiday. Our server, Zaria seemed a little new but did a great job. The turkey and gravy was delicious as was the brussel sprouts and asparagus. We finished with key lime pie and cheesecake which was very good. My first choice of wine wasn't available but my second choice was and it was very good. Overall the restaurant was crowded but we didn't feel that we suffered from a lack of service. I give the staff and management my thanks and congratulations for a job well done.
First time dining at Sullivan’s weren’t disappointed. Kudos to tge entire staff from tge hostess to wait staff to chefs.
Will definitely be back for another dinner
Delicious as always! Steaks were cooked perfectly, shrimp cocktail was tasty and the shared sides of scalloped potatoes and creamed spinach were wonderful. Our server was very attentive and friendly.
It was my fiancé’s Birthday and we were kinda disappointed at the food we ordered as some of the food that we wanted was not on the actual menu and the food we did order was small and not good but I did not make a fuss about it although we did bring it to the attention of the the manager and he gave us a 25%discount off of our $200 bill which amounted to $11 dollars it was a great gesture but I don’t think we will be going back
Sullivans has been around for a long long time. IMO they need to refresh this place. They still have the old black fixtures in the bathrooms from years ago. It’s dated but decided to meet an old friend there.
The bartender was great, drinks are typically pretty easy with 6 patrons. Now to the food. Meats prices are up for sure. We split a NY strip which was OK sans the price. We got a wedge a loaded potato for support. Since when is bacon extra on a wedge? The loaded potato was cold. Not warm, cold in the middle. It took >10 minutes for another cold replacement. By this time the steak was cold and about gone. The mashed final replacement were only warm. Sorry Sullivans. You’ve seen us for the last time. Should have done Beef and Bottle!!!
