I came to Sullivan’s for my birthday and my night was great. All of the staff were wonderful and made me feel very special. I thank them all for making my birthday night a blast.
The food wasn’t good at all!
Best Steak In Baltimore
Everything about this restaurant was great! Location, service, food, champagne. Thank you so much for making the experience for me my husband and friends so delightful. The food was amazing and the steak was cooked to perfection! They did great with social distancing!
Crab cakes were bland and had no taste. The salmon was overcooked and we were celebrating a birthday. Overall disappointment.
The food was great, our server and the GM were very friendly. There was a lot of disruption from a table of young ladies that was permitted to go on with very little management oversight. We did get an apology, but not much was done to remind the patrons this was a fine dining experience.
I absolutely love Sullivan's, each time I go I have a great experience
Staff Wasn’t happy about serving late reservations. If staff doesn’t want to provide service to later reservations you shouldn’t offer them!
My first experience at Sullivan's was FAIR. I was in Baltimore for a concert. We went to have dinner at 5:30 PM. The waitress was adorable. She was the only reason we didn't leave. The service, in general, was slow. Our drink order was requested before we saw a beer and wine menu. After careful consideration, I ordered a crab cake app and the pork chop with a baked potato. After 6 or 7 minutes, someone came to the table and told me that this steak house was out of baked potatoes. Ok. I changed my entree to scallops. How can a steak house be out of baked potatoes at 5:30? The entrees were slow coming out of the kitchen. It was 25 minutes. It wouldn't have seemed so long if we were offered a refresh on our drinks or my appetizer had shown up. The scallops were fine. Cooked well and the flavor was good. I reminded the server about my crab cake twice. It finally arrived when she was clearing the dinner plates. It was very good. We did not see a server, nor was I offered another beverage until the check arrived. I paid full price for the crab cake. No apologies. I think the server was new, her enthusiasm and knowledge of the menu was good. She had no support when the meal did not go as planned. As we left, the host addressed me by name and wished us a good evening.
Dinner was good. Our seats were next to a party room so it made it a little loud. Good was good but didn’t appreciate the server upgrading our meals to the next size and extra $$$s without asking.
Service was worst ever. Never had a waitress come to our table. After waiting at least 15 minutes after being seated we had to flag the floor manager and have him wait on us.
Place was great. Had a good time eating with my love one.
This was my first time here and from the MINUTE we walked in the door, our hostess, LaTaya (sp)? Made us feel like we were part of the SULLIVANs Family. Then ouf waitress, (I apologize I forgot her name but it was similar to the hostess name) was PHENOMENAL as well. THE FOOD and AMBIANCE was to die for!!!!!! Sullivan's you are my number 1 now!!!! OMG AND THE STEAK🥩🥩🥩....RIBEYE......SOOOOO TENDER, my steak knife LITERALLY went straight thru it!!! MAGNIFICENT ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Horrific experience, horrible food and unsanitary issues. We confirmed this was the " back up staff due to this being the night before Valentine's Day". Manager offered to have us come back as his "personal guest" but I can confirm that was his first and last meal there and my last as well. I am not sure when Sullivan's started to lower their standards but it showed in multiple aspects of the service. Our special evening was ruined. We have had better service (hostess) , ambiance and food at 3 star restaurants. Hope there is some serious evaluations done at Sullivan's or they will also become an after thought. Don't make the same mistake we did.
Service was nonexistent. Steak came out raw. Bringing courses before we were done with first. Seen a server drop food, then put back on plates and serve it. Dessert never came, had ordered ice cream and server asked if we wanted it to go.
JV experience. Started poorly at the initial contact exposing lack of experience with a higher level of service. That held true throughout the experience.
I was a little nervous about our reservation after reading reviews but our experience was delightful. Our server was excellent and the food was delicious. We will return!
Went for a New Years' Eve dinner - fortunately or unfortunately only had the NYE special menu to choose from - but it was decent selections. Started with a Moscow Mule with a shrimp cocktail - both okay. Ordered a nice big steak (cooked to order) with an okay lobster tail for the main meal with a just okay (for the price) glass of wine - downside was the side of mashed got cold way to fast. Would have ordered an after dinner cocktail but for the price I declined (as I have almost all those bottles at home). But would recommend a visit with the regular menu to choose from for just about any occasion.
Waitress was not good. Wanted a chocolate dessert, but it was a fixed menu and we were unable to substitute. Everything was either dusty or dirty. There were stains on the lamp shade at our table and not worth the money for a restaurant that charges that much for food.
Overall it was a very good experience with outstanding food. The only real issue was that the wait staff seemed somewhat less professional than other restaurants at this price point. Our waitress was nice and took care of the table well, but some of the staff would congregate and converse loudly enough (about non-work topics) to be heard from across the main dining room. We would eat here again, it was just that the staff’s behavior did not fit with the upscale theme of the restaurant.
We waited over hour before our ticket was put in. Apparently there was issue with ticket. We had no issues and she was very apologetic. Manager gave us employee discount on final bill - could’ve been more considering we didn’t get entrees for 90 minutes and took another 20 minutes for sides - long enough for us to finish our steaks before rest came. Food wasn’t bad. Music was a tad loud.
We came here expecting culinary excellence. What a complete disappointment. We had reservations and still waited 10 minutes to be seated. It was complete disorganization. After being seated, we waited 15 minutes for a waiter to appear. Service was very slow throughout the meal. The waiter was very uninformed about anything, though he tried. The lobster bisque tasted like brown gravy. The meal was not worth the $223 price. Valet took forever, so the price of parking was $28. Do not visit here expecting more than gross mediocrity.
Wonderful food. Everything was outstanding. We went on Christmas Day and we delighted that it was quite.
We were looking for a nice place to have Christmas dinner, and this was it!
The food is as outstanding as we had been told. Excellent!
Management needs work.
Short on bar staff
Waitress Pam amazing!
It took a long time for us to get our food, despite there being only 4 tables filled. The waiter then disappeared. It was supposed to be a nice holiday lunch so we had planned to order coffee and dessert, but we had no opportunity. When I looked around for our waiter he brought the bill. It was a disappointing experience, especially given the price.
Our server did the best that he could and was very personable. But the kitchen and staffing levels led to a veeeeeery slooooooooow experience. What could have been a one hour visit for a family with two small kids ended up being almost two hours. Most restaurants seek to turn tables faster. Not this place.
My wife and I were very disappointed in our experience at Sullivan’s on Friday December 13. My manager who lives in Dallas area had raved about Sullivan’s after eating there.
To start with when we walked in, the greeting by the hostess seemed tepid. After being seated, there seemed to be a wait before a waiter came over. It was a Friday night, but the main area was not crowded. When the waiter came over he was friendly. He gave us a recommendation for an appetizer- the Calamari which turned out to be excellent. For our main course we ordered the Dry Aged bone in Ribeye which we shared. The steak was very tough even though it was prepared medium. The taste was ok, but not what you would expect from a high end steak house. We had a side of Brussels sprouts which we did not particularly care for. We have gone to most of the steak places in Baltimore, The Prime Rib, Capital Grille, Morton’s, Fleming’s and Ruth Chris and I would say Sullivan’s falls way short from any of them.
Poor service
Poorly prepared and poorly presented food.
Zero atmosphere
Filthy booth and floors.
Just disgusting.
Would NEVER RETURN TO THIS GHETTO LEVEL DUMP
Very quiet night, not sure why, maybe because it was a rainy night but not too busy. Food was amazing, our server was very helpful. We will be back!
I had my 25th birthday party here and it was an amazing dinner with great service. Since we went late on a Tuesday night it was fairly quiet but the attention to detail from the staff and chef was amazing
On this particular evening service was extremely slow while the place was at approximately 30% occupancy.
I wish I didn't have to leave a 1-star review, but given Saturday's experience, I have no other choice:
- we had no server
- it took 90 from ordering to receive our entrees (party of 4)
- 1 order of crab cakes arrived still frozen inside
- 1 bone-in ribeye arrived overcooked (all were ordered rare)
- we had to bus our own table
- my wine was poured into a water glass, not a glass for red
- this is not the quality of service, food or experience expected with at $500 bill
this used to be my husband's favorite steakhouse, but we would not recommend Sullivan's to anyone ever again.
We sat down and nobody came to our table for a good 10 minutes. The bus boy finally bought bread and I asked for water. Again nobody came to the table. We found the manager and he became our waiter. Service was extremely slow. It took almost an hour for our entrees to come out and when they did they were not hot.
Would not run back to the restaurant. We could t wait to get out of there
First time at Sullivan's will not be back not what you expect from a good steakhouse steak was good but service was slow and terrible with only like 4 tables of people and they keep forgetting stuff everytime stick with ruth chris
Dinner after a movie. My reservation went smoothly. We arrived closed to the kitchen closing, so the Host attempted to seat us in the bar area rather than the dining room. After explaining that I prefer the dining room seating, I was quickly sat. My server was very knowledgeable about the menu. He was also fast and polite. My food was amazing.
Waitress was really great tonight . The host were inviting even down to the Valet. Enjoyed it immensely. Had a show at 8pm was out in 40 mins
The restaurant was very nice near the convention center and it also had valet parking the clams and crab dip was outstanding Desert was great
It was birthday dinner. Server was nice. Took her a while to come to the table initially but was pretty attentive afterwards. Our appetizers came out quickly. Our food took over an hour. It was an extremely long wait fir the meal. The server explained the chef was new.
29 stir Martini-good
Seared ahi tuna-cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing
Filet mignon- cooked perfectly and tender
Garlic mashed potatoes-just ok
Brussel sprouts-seasoned great but not tender enough.
