My wife and I celebrated our 27 anniversary at Sullivan’s. The food was outstanding and the service; even better. One of the best restaurant experiences we have had in the Baltimore area. Pedro, the GM is a pro; he motivates the staff and assures that his customers are well treated. We highly recommend the restaurant and already look forward to our next visit.
First time there. Thought it was a little pricey for dinner. I ordered my steak medium well and the waitress said it would be pink which is fine. When it was served, it was still red. I had to send it back. When it came back, it was still red but I ate it. You would think that the restaurant would give us a drink or a dessert on the house.
Filet Mignon overcooked
Service very slow
Great food, excellent service. Would definently return.
We had a great time. We were running a bit late and called ahead to inform the staff. As soon as we got there we were seated in a nice booth. The only drawback is parking. Valet was unavailable so we parked in the garage.
Great food, great service and good menu. A steakhouse that completes with all others and a good selection of other food as well.
A steakhouse that can't get steaks right? Maybe it was an off night, but meals came out mixed up - lobster added to wrong dinner, waiter gave plates to wrong people and food was luke warm, not hot. My strip was suppised to be charred and never got close to the grill. Service was slow and the topper was the valet Parkersburg were backed up on the way out - taking 20 minutes to get our car.
This is not the Sullivan's I remembered from Chicago and for the money, did not meet my expectations, especially on a special occasion.
Made the reservation, still had to wait. Waited for a while for the table. Steaks are pretty good, appetizers and side dishes were excellent. Had the reservations went smooth, the rating would be much better.
Great food, great service but the ambiance left something to be desired. We were in a small room off the bar for Valentine's Day dinner. There was a TV mounted on the wall with the sound on and when we arrived there was club mix playing loudly and then a small band started playing. We almost left because of the cacophony but the server turned off the club mix which made the noise level tolerable.
They have the best steaks in Balitmore!!!
very friendly staff food was exceptional really enjoyed it
Customer Service and food was outstanding! Definitely will come again!
Food was very very good. Escargots a hit with the wife. French onion soup not salty as are many others. Filets were excellent. Wife had bone-in Filet Mignon which she really liked..tendr and flavorful. I had 6 oz filet and lobster, which both were perfectly cooked, and the lobster was well larger than most add-ons to a filet. Atmosphere not as nice as some steakhouses. Room in which we sat (which was tables for two only) was chilly and noisy as its right off the main bar. The live music in the main bar carrys dirctly over to the dining tables. They need to fix that somehow.
This was my first time at this restaurant. The service was excellent. The appetizers and side dishes were very good. The steak was disappointing, particularly after ordering a higher-priced "aged" steak. The meat was dry and tough but tasty. Based on this experience, this would not be my first choice for steak in the Baltimore-Washington area.
Great mellow bar scene with good music. Live jazz with piano, bass, and drums. Servers were professional yet personable. Host was friendly but not too bubbly. I had the filet mignon, mushrooms, and broccoli. All were excellent. I like how the broccoli was already cut up, instead of being served like a big tree like other upscale restuarants. Key lime pie was excellent.
This place was absolutely amazing! The wife and I decided to go for valentines day. The best steak I've eaten in quite some time! The wait staff was courteous and made every effort to take care of us. We will definitely be returning!
Food was superb! great service. Makes a great date night.
Drinks too expensive, Steaks not good.
Great dinner at Sullivan's. Can't wait to go back. Servers, food, and decor...awesome!!!!
We arrived about 15 minutes before our reservation for a party of 4. We went and checked in and the hostess stand. She stated they were "just getting caught up on the reservations" so it would be a little while. As we sat for the next 30 minutes, she never said anything else to us and we were in the seats against the wall exactly a foot and a half from where she stood. When I stood up and went to the stand another hostess went to find me a table. A manager also jumped on it and we were seated in the next 2 minutes. I'm really disappointed with their main hostess on that evening but the rest of the service was outstanding and the food was delicious.
Well worth the wait. Staff is very friendly and eager to please. Highly recommended.
Overbooked and very crowded. They made us wait for 25 minutes to seat us for our opentable reservation. Very touristy.
We arrived 15 minutes early and welcomed soon as we walked in. We had a drink in the bar. The bar's "piped in music" was way too loud. You could not have a normal conversation. Might have been right for happy hour, but not dinner hour. This is my one negative of this place. They had a small trio playing too. Their sound level was just under too loud. I had a martini and Mrs. has a glass of Cab. $28 with tip. A little much for two drinks. By 7:10 no one came to get us so we asked and they said, the table was ready. The food was outstanding and reasonable as we got the $89 menu. Best steak ever. But, I'll pass on the bar until they turn down the music.
The best meal I've ever had at a restaurant. The courses were paced perfectly, and the meal was prepared exactly how we wanted it. I asked for my lamb chops to be prepared medium rare, and they were actually served to me medium rare! The taste of every dish was amazing. Shrimp and lobster bisque, lobster macaroni and cheese, creamed spinach, oscar filet mignon, and lamb chops -- all perfectly seasoned and cooked. I have never tasted lamb or filet so good. The amount of food was perfect as well. Left the restaurant full,
and still had some leftovers. I'd recommend going here for any special occasion!
For our first date since our son was born, Sullivan's fit the bill. The food was outstanding and our waiter, Jonathon, provided exceptional service. This was our first trip to Sullivan's, but it won't be our last. We both had Filet's that were cooked perfectly and seasoned with just the right amounts of salt and black pepper. For sides we had the three cheese mac and sweet potato casserole. Both were exceptional.
The only thing we found a little odd was that there is a Sign for Sullivan's on the corner of Pratt and Charles St, yet the actual location is next to the Hyatt on Light St. We endd up walking through another restaurant thinking it was Sullivan's.
Wonderful service, excellent food. My wife and I will dine again in the future.
Great food, service, and atmosphere.
Enjoyed the meal, but definitely not one of the better steakhouses in Baltimore.
A little pricey for the value. The ambiance and the side dishes were great.
Second time attending restaurant and loved it yet again.Great place for a romantic night for two. One of the finest cuts of steak I've ever had. Highly recommended...
Our server was excellent and we really enjoyed the restaurant's environment. The food and drinks started off wonderfully and we had very high hopes for the main course but ended up disappointed with it. My husband had a filet and lobster tail and I had the Australian lobster tail. Both lobsters were overcooked and fairly dry. This happened after the kitchen apparently burned my first lobster tail so badly that it could not be served!
My ribeye seemed like it had been frozen or the meat quality was not good.
Though it was busy for restaurant week does not excuse having to wait 45 min when you have a reservation. The elegant atmosphere did not match the waitresses and hostesses trashy attire. Fishnets and short skirts should be worn after work.
The service was not the best I've had, but the server was attentative for a busy Sarurday night. The food was amazing and very well prepared. The environment was great, and it was overall a good experience.
Visited during Restaurant Week and it was brimming over with people. Had a reservation but they were behind about 20-30 minutes. They were apologetic. Staff was friendly and food was great.
This was the best beef filet that I have had in years!!! We ended up coming to Sullivan's three nights during restaurant week. Brought friends, kids and then a romantic dinner. We loved it!!!!
Kuddos to the chef! And the waitress was a knock out. Friendly and beautiful too boot!
Excellent experience. We went before a show, mentioned it to the waiter and he helped us get out on time, and a good thing he did - we were enjoying ourselves so much we both uncharacteristically forgot the time, which is easy to do there, great restaurant. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and tender, the Pinot Noir was unusually smooth and flavorful, everything was top notch. Highly recommended, great experience.
This is deffinitely a restaurant worth passing on. The atmosphere was a little busy but the service and the food far outweigh the busy atmosphere. My group had an awesome time and I have already recommended the spot to others.
The food was delicious but the cuts were not adequate. For the price, you would expect a total gourmet experience but that's not what I received. The facilities were nice. The service was nice. I would go back but my expectations were not met.
My experience was good but my salad had way too much dressing on it and my steak was a bit over cooked.
Very good steaks, on par with many, but not quite the best.
