It was new place my husband and haven’t been yet I can tell you we will come back more often now. Amazing food
Great food! New to waiting tables server, but he did a good job. If he didn’t know the answer he was not afraid to ask questions and bring us the answer.
Filets were cooked right and were tasty.
Our big issue was quality of service.
For a $55++ steak house (in Alaska) I expected full white-table cloth service.
Instead we got inattentive server, missing condiments, no water service, and poor hospitality skills/attitude. Not up to snuff!
They were very busy short staff tuna came out burnt and by time bought new one all sides had been eaten we were hungry. Manager and staff kind but reflection of crisis all restaurant facing now. We sat bar area because we couldn’t get seated when we came in. Shirt staff. Very pleasant people Jasmin manager etc.
Great service by everyone we encountered, and the food was delicious.
Great customer service from our waiter Issac! Definitely coming back. Cool vibes. Great food and better company.
The dining room was packed so we opted to eat in the bar where we could sit away from others. Service was lousy and all that needed to be done was to have our beverages delivered within a decent time frame. They sat on the bar for at least 15 minutes after a half hour wait for service in a non busy bar with plenty of staff milling about. A drink and our table conversation is all we needed. The table next to us was seated 20 minutes after us and had drinks and soup finished before our appetizer order arrived.
Sullivan’s looks like an old school steakhouse, and delivers on that promise. Everything I was looking for was there. Large, comfortable dining room, an excellent wine list and interesting craft cocktails. The pork belly appetizer was extraordinary, and the steaks were cooked to perfection- seasoned properly, and paired beautifully with the sauce.
Our server Sophia was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive.
A top notch experience from beginning to end.
When we were seated at our table, the server, who I believe was Josh, asked if we wanted something to drink other than water. I requested the wine list and his reply was to download the menu on our phones. I didn’t have my phone so we all had to share one phone to look at the menu. I felt that this situation was a bit irritating as we had my mother in law with us who is 83 years old and she would not have known how to download the menu. I tried to ask about a pinot Grigio but was told by the server they were out of pinot.. This restaurant-has a huge wine cellar but had no pinot Grigio! I asked about Pinot Grigio by the glass and he said he thought they were out of that as well and made sure to mention as well that there wine list was extensive and did not have it memorized. He didn’t offer to go find out or to ask someone and left our table. At this point I was not happy. I asked to see the manager. She came to the table and I told her the situation. She went to the bar and brought out a bottle of pinot grigio! She sat it on our table and said our server would open it. The server hadn’t come back to the table for at least 10 minutes. When he arrived he said, oh a bottle if pinot! Why didn’t she open it for you! It took him literally 10 minutes to open our wine! We ordered our dinner and sat there waiting for at least 45 minutes if not longer while watching everyone around us receiving their dinners. My husband ordered the sea bass and it was cold and rubbery. His creamed spinach was ice cold. We sent back the spinach with a different server and asked a different server for extra bernaise sauce. The inly time Josh came to the table was when we received our steaks and wanted us to cut into them to make sure they were cooked properly. At that time we tried ordering another bottle of wine and bread. We never got our bread in the first place with our salads. After another 45 minutes we were told they had no more wine! I t was a horrible experience! I will never go back!
Everything was amazing.. the food is delicious the only think is be patient with the drinks.
Restaurant not busy with inside dining. Seemed to be doing a lot of take out/door dash business. Service was very slow and drinks not refilled.
It was delicious the service was awesome and the price was reasonable. Loved it!
If you want to destroy your lunch or dinner you have to go to this restaurant. We waited for our order for 53 minutes and were already going to leave without having lunch. The waitress was welcoming, but that didn't make any difference. The food was barely warm, but we no longer had any desire to ask to heat the food because we were very hungry after a long wait. We will never return to this restaurant again. The service is just awful!
Juan Sebastian is the man! Great waiter ! All around excellent service and good quality food!
Food was good as usual. I have food allergies, and Sullivan's does a great job making sure my order is perfect, and not acting like I'm a bother.
We had a great meal with excellent service from all members of the Sullivan's Steakhouse staff.
Service was phenomenal and food was absolutely delicious. 10s all around!!
Service and food mediocrely at best. Bus boy unsanitary
Overall the value of the meal was a little expensive, the food and service was above average.
So nice to see Sullivan’s bouncing back after COVID issues(short staffed, limited menu, etc). The service and food were fantastic and the ambiance is always good. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the desserts were divine. Can’t wait til our next visit.
The whole experience was fantastic
The food and service at Sullivan's was good and our server Morgan was great
Service was very bad for ordered appetizer and had to ask where it was 3 times the time it arrived it was not cooked had to return to have it properly prepared. Did not get satisfied faction from General manager. Also the item arrived after the main meal had arrived
We arrived as the restaurant opened at 11 we’re seated and placed our order right away. We received our drinks and salads but at noon still no entree. There were many to go orders leaving the building and others served. When we inquired we learned our ticket had been lost apologies were made and reparation. Our frustration was that we had to go seek assistance and others failed to notice the extraordinary lapse in time
41st wedding anniversary
We had a horrible experience at Sullivan’s. We ordered the oysters on the half shell as an appetizer, and after swallowing the first oyster, was alarmed to find a large shell hidden in the meat. I began choking and was having a hard time breathing. I kept drinking large gulps of water trying to dislodge the shell, but it only caused it to cut deeper into my throat. The waiter and manager arrived and after a couple of more large drinks, I was finally able to dislodge the shell. The rest of the meal was uneventful, and we even contemplated leaving the dinner early because of the scare, but decided we didn’t want to ruin the night. Not only did the manager not apologize for the shell, but made a sarcastic remark about updating him on my symptoms as we left. Very unprofessional. Another table saw the entire situation and came out to offer their sympathy. The managers name is Jake Wise. The entire next day My throat was sore and I was coughing up blood. All I wanted was an apology, instead I was treated condescendingly.
NY steak ($48) looked like med/rare but no juices. More gristle than normal.
We had a most excellent night. Everything was great.
Susie was our waitress…COULD NOT HAVE BEEN BETTER! Enthusiastic service, excellent food, oh yeah, and the shrimp and lobster bisque…overwhelmingly wonderful! Altogether the perfect anniversary dinner!!
Foot was disappointing. Recipes were changed. Wonderful service. 🤗
This was our second visit in first three days of 6 of being in Anchorage. Can’t wait to return.
Wife’s Birthday and it was perfect. Excellent service and great food!
Waiter was Outstanding!
They were out of possibly every good item on the menu. Drinks took so long to to come that our second cocktail arrived after the food was eaten and the bill was paid. Don’t waste your time. It’s in a mall
To begin with the restaurant to was out of Crown & we had 2 Crown drinkers in our party of 4.. I ordered a red wine & the waitress had to run around the entire restaurant with 2 drinks & my wine carafe in hand looking for a wine glass. I ordered a filet medium rare with a side of mushrooms. When she brought my steak she asked me to check it. It was not even rare, it was raw. When she brought it back it was dry & tasteless, no juices and no mushrooms were delivered. Extremely disappointing dinner. We paid a lot for a very poor experience.
Our waiter did a great job of assisting us in making our meal enjoyable.
From the start, there were problems. we had a reservation for 6:30pm and we arrived on time. We had to wait for at least 10 minutes to be seated. The dining room was not full.
We ordered an appetizer, salads and enterees with sides. We waited for approximately 30 minutes, with no food delivered except bread.
Then a runner delivered our entrees and sides. The appetizer and salads had not arrived. After commenting on the missing appetizer and salads, our waitress appeared and asked what was wrong. While we were pointing out our missing items, the appetizer arrived, not hot, as it should have been.
Entrees and sides were removed with a promise to correct things. A while latter the waitress returns to tell us that one of the salads ordered was not available. The replacement salad eas ordered. We also told the waitress that we would not accept having the original entrees and sides kept warm while they corrected their error.
Salads finally arrived, followed closely by the entrees and sides. These had obvious been kept warm, plates warm, food at cool temperatures. A very disappointing meal.
We spoke to the manger about these problems. She appolgized and removed the price of the entrees from our bill.
We ordered from the Sure Thing menu (salad, entree, dessert) and our companions ordered regular entrees. Also ordered the philly eggrolls and they were tasty (this feeds 2, so we ordered 2 of them).
The only thing that needs changing is their flooring, it was sticky and stinky.
Price was very high for the quality and service provided.
Best steak I’ve had in a long time. For the longbone bone-in dry aged ribeye with the porcini mushroom butter. Great service from moment we walked in till we rolled out.
