Sullivan's Metropolitan Grill
As always, food and service was outstanding!!
Sullivan’s has become our place for special celebrations because it is special. The staff is warm and welcoming, they anticipate your needs and are very accommodating. The menu always offers something different which make it difficult to move from our regular favorites but when we do we are never disappointed. The beautiful old building provides a comfortable atmosphere for an enjoyable evening.
Always wonderful service and unique food or traditional favorites!
Most uncomfortable dining experience. Staff and Patrons looked at me and my wife as if we were aliens. Regrettably not a dining destination intended for everyone.
I was very please with being able to make our group's reservation online through the OpenTable app. I also was so very happy with Sullivan's customer service and delivering of quality food in a timely fashion. Thanks to the staff and kudos!!
The holiday buffet is the best in upstate as far as I’m concerned and I have 35 years experience in food management!
Very well done. Good food variety, well prepared. My waitress was excellent. I did think the fresh fruit was misplaced in the salad section. I thought it could have also complimented a dessert. We had a late appointment, at 2:30 but still were not rushed. Hope we remember you next year and along the way.
Mothers Day. First time family dined out for fear of bad service. Arrived on time seated upstairs table far away from buffet. Server was very good. Food was great. Did not learn about omelette until moral over. We have eaten at Sullivans off and on for years, especially lunch. Staff served very small slice dessert. Will continue dine for lunch. Like there soup.Still best for a town our size. I recommend. Wish the had there coconut pie more often. On menu but seldom have.
Congratulations to owners.
The mother’s day brunch was excellent.
I liked that they took your omelet order and you did not have to stand and wait at the omelette station.
Amazing selection of desserts!
We used to live in Anderson and this was our favorite restaurant. Went back for a recent visit and, if anything, it’s even better now! We love this place. Great atmosphere, great food, reasonable prices. And it would require a whole separate review just to describe the desserts. If you’re in the area, check it out.
Food not as good in past maybe it was an off night
The food was extremely good. The history of the building was richly displayed. However, The very poor service outweighed many positives. The night was extremely busy, and we understood that. However, many other tables around us who were seated after us were served before we even saw bread on our table . It took over 90 minutes until salads and bread were served. We were a table of four and our waiter was occupied with a table of 20. We rarely saw him. Then when dinner was served , my daughter had to wait an additional 10 minutes to get hers. The server only brought 3 dinners and disappeared . It was a frustrating night for sure.
An excellent experience and well worth your time and Monday. In a world full of blah dining experiences, this place is a welcomed change and magnificent setting.
Every time we eat at Sullivan’s it’s always great.
We celebrated our daughters college graduation with family and throughly enjoyed the food and overall experience!
Food was great and came out quickly! I would recommend trying their daily specials.
We truly enjoyed our evening at Sullivan’s! Everything ordered was excellent.
Went here for my son's graduation luncheon and it was perfect.
We went to Sullivan's to do a test run before prom on Saturday. It wasn't very crowded, but it was a Wednesday night. Our server rattled off the specials and we don't have a clue how she remembered everything. She gave us excellent service and the food was spectacular!!
When we first got there the host sat us next to the kitchen, door swinging open and close, plenty of empty tables. When asked to move us she had a horrible attitude and said the table we asked for is reserved, I told we also had reservation , almost went to the manager but didn't. The food was just alright not like the first time we went there. So sorry won't be back.
My wife and I dined for our anniversary and the Sullivan's staff were on point. The filet was cooked to perfection and the blackened mahi served over a grit cake was truly one of the best dishes I've had in Anderson. Don't forget to order the coconut cake.
Our compliments to the chef and staff, thanks for giving the residents of Anderson an upscale dining experience without having to leave the city.
Excellent service and amazing food!
Best fine dining in Anderson
It was a great location for a special occasion. Upscale ambiance without having to travel as far as Greenville or Atlanta. The food was excellent and be sure to save room for dessert. Our waitress was new, but did an excellent job taking care of our family of 7. We will definitely be back.
This was our second trip to Sullivan's; we are "out of towners" so don't get to Sullivan's as much as we would if we were locals. Like the first experience this visit was exceptional. Service was great, the perfect blend between too much and not enough! We both opted for the Hanger Steak dinner. Steak, mashed potatoes and vegetables were outstanding and portions were generous leaving each of us enough for another meal (which we'll enjoy at home!). We took dessert (Bailey's Cake) to go and enjoyed it at home. It was delicious. Sullivan's is a gem set in an old building. Atmosphere is "nice" without being pretentious. This is a great place to have an "upscale" dining experience and is perfect for those special occasion meals. Great job, Sullivan's staff! We'll be back!
Always enjoy going to Sullivan’s to eat! Celebrated husband’s birthday with a very special friend joining us. Our entrees were delicious with wonderful presentation. Enjoyed the coconut cake for dessert which is a favorite of our family.
Terrific as always!! Sullivan's is where we always go for our anniversary!
My wife and I really enjoyed out Anniversary dinner at Sullivan's. The service was excellent and the food was delicious as always. We've never been disappointed with Sullivan's and really appreciate Nick And Sabre for their service to out community.
Always good food at Sullivan's. The night we visited was very busy and our server seemed to be overwhelmed. While the server was very pleasant and helpful, we were unable to complete our meal as we had hoped (with dessert and coffee) because the server was too busy to get back to our table in a timely manner. Otherwise, a good experience.
Sullivan’s was very lovely and I had a great Experience.
Great food, great people. Visit Sullivan's when in or around Anderson. Party room is great too!
Sullivan's never disappoints. The meal and service were wonderful.
Sullivan’s never disappoints! Food is excellent, the staff so attentive, they truly want you to have a dining experience. Management is always visible, assisting staff, moving among diners. You always feel appreciated and leave knowing you will return.
I have dietary restrictions/allergies , but I neglected to ask what seasonings were put on the ribeye steak. When I tasted it and found it had black pepper on it, I could not eat it. Even though I told the waitress not to worry, that it was my fault for not asking, she insisted on ordering another steak without seasoning. It was delicious. I appreciated the special attention to my diet. To sum up our experience: superb quality in both food and service.
Great seafood, very friendly service, interesting setting.
The food is fantastic. I have been twice in the last two weeks and it is by far the best restaurant that Anderson has.
We have been enjoying great service and food at Sullivan’s since moving into the area from South Florida three years ago. Since there aren’t many good fine dining restaurants in the Upstate, we were so happy to find Sullivan’s. My only negative comment is about how some of their patrons dress in grungy tee shirts and flip flops at dinner time.
