We ordered a calamari appetizer, which was overcooked and rubbery. The remainder of the food was tasty but was served lukewarm.

$35 bottomless brunch? Not worth it.
Not only are the plates small, the quality of food was horrid. (Undercooked steak and undercooked omelettes, soggy and sauceless pizza). Our waters and mimosas were brought to the table after our meals. Even though the tables around us got REFILLS on their mimosas. The waiter was not trained or prepared to handle a large group. He not only disregarded my guests food allergies but had 4 of my guests not receive their meals AT ALL.
The customer service and communication is lacking in this restaurant. Ask for a manager you get the head server, who basically just asks what you would like. We had to hunt down the manager and tell him the situation. We just wanted to leave because of how atrocious this experience was.
I understand that the kitchen was backed up, perhaps the staff was not trained properly or understaffed.
But if you as a restaurant are not equipped for a brunch group of 8, then you don't deserve to be even mentioned as an option for brunch.
So if you want the best bang for your buck for brunch, DONT GO HERE, it's not worth the time or effort to fight for service.
Great food and great service
This was our first time to Sugo on a recommendation of a friend. The service was awful. We had a young female, who was either new or just did not know what she was doing. She never gave us her name and all of our interactions were very awkward. Thank goodness the food was good. Overall, it was a mediocre Birthday celebration dinner for our family.
Food all came at random times (my husband got his salad and pizza and then 10 minutes later my pizza came...somewhere in between that my daughter got her dinner). My pizza came and was burnt and had 4 mushrooms and barely crumbled sausage (after telling me they were out of the vegan cheese...so I basically ate burned cauliflower dough). We waited 25 minutes for our bottle of wine and 15 minutes after dinner was cleared to order dessert which took another 20 minutes and was poorly cooked (cold, mushy creme brûlée).
Music was a bit loud for dinner and service seemed stretched for the number of tables.
Food was incorrect, waiter kept offering us items, then telling us a they were not available. Nobody cared that we were there.
Sugo is our go to restaurant for our family of four. The food is great and the wait staff and manager are so friendly. They offer a great happy hour menu of food and drinks that you can even order at the tables - not just at the bar.
We have been to Sugo several times, going back to when it first opened. Got together the other night with a few family members and looking forward to sharing a variety of dishes. It was a Wednesday night and there were very few customers, a bad sign. The service was good but we found the food to be disappointing. Gnocchi was over cooked and mushy, the pizza crust was tough and chewy and the mussels were dry and lacking flavor. The bread was toasted and not fresh.
Hopefully this was an anomaly and not the norm. But given the many choices in the area will not be returning soon.
Very slow service, overpriced food for portions
Wonderful brunch, they just keep bringing food! Service was outstanding and the mimosas were great! Lunch and dinner are just as good.
Went there for brunch. They had some great options on the menu. We decided not to do the all you can eat brunch and order a la cart which was a mistake. It’s pretty expensive if you’re not doing the all you can eat brunch. The food was good but one of the plates was cold when it came out. The server was very attentive and helpful

Love Sugo but should have checked that it was homecoming night. We got our order for 6 in prior to the big order from the students but they mass produced pizzas and in the end forgot about my roasted vegetables (which is usually my favorite). Bartender was our server but was swamped. I tried to go up and give an order and he told me he will come by and never did. Pizza was made ok a rush and you can tell (we are there almost every Monday so we can compare). My daughter cheese pizza had almost no sauce on one side. Charcuterie platter - cheese was awesome. Meat seemed old and off. Actually we took some home and it was bad the next day. Roasted vegetables showed up with our check finally and never got our 3rd beer. Other than that - all other food was wonderful. The calamari, mussels, spaghetti, steak , caprese salad, spinach salad. Even got the crepe brûle, Cannoli and gelato. All really good and tasty. Spent a lot of money $260 for 6 because of the quantity of food we ordered - just wish the restaurant realized we weren’t the high schoolers who are all sharing pizzas prior to homecoming but folks who come regularly, like different foods to try and could have drank a lot more of you came by to see how we are doing or asked us if we want another wine or beer.
Pretty good food, solid, very good pizza, good salads. Solid service. Atmosphere is nice though very loud.
Our waiter, Justin, was fabulous!! We will be asking to sit in his going forward!! Great sever!!
I had a reservation with Open Table, they could not seat me for 15-20 minutes. So we sat at the bar. The bar tender was overwhelmed, the food was cold and not good. Expensive to say the least. I will not return to recommend this restaurant.
Despite having a reservation, was seated after 40 minutes and then waited another 15 minutes for a server to arrive. Horrible service. No plausible explanation for the wait. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Our meal was not cheap and it was terrible! It took 30 minutes to get our first drink order and 30 minutes to get the next drink order. There were only three drinks! The food was very basic but not well done at all! Pizzas were soggy and oil soaked, and the pasta was overdone. It was a waste of time and money I would not recommend this restaurant and we obviously will never go back

The waitress attended to us 30 mins after seating and forgot that we asked for happy hour menu. Service was just really slow... The bartender was kind enough to still offer us happy hour rate past happy hour time. We were given complimentary creme brulee to make up for the service but it was very eggy. If that’s even a word. Basically sweet scrambled eggs...
The service was not good because they said they were short staffed.
We went the last minute and the new owner greeted us. We sat outside under the new awning. It's much quieter outside. They had a special on Monday of half priced Pizza and it was good. To welcome us the owner copped us with two Passion fruit Martinis. It's a nice place to eat
Gone downhill over the years, untrained staff, poor service, won’t be going back. Hostess was very pleasant however, which is a pleasant surprise from previous visits.

Sat outside for bottomless brunch. Food came out very slowly. Many people without food. For the most part, the food was good not great. Best thing was coached eggs and brussels sprouts and chicken and waffle.
The chicken is not good. It has really gone downhill. It was dry and flavorless. Crab gnocchi is delicious, but doesn’t have chunks of crab.
What happened? This used to be our local go-to, but this experience was beyond disappointing. Poor service, long wait for food, soggy broccolini, salty meatballs... best thing we had was the free bread. Hope they can get the old chef back!

The quality of the AYCE brunch has gone down over the years for sure! As food arrived that my husband and I ordered, most of the items came out dry, flavorless, or looked like it was just thrown on a plate. The mimosas are gross! They all came out warm; so warm, we had to ask for new ones. When the new one’s arrived warm, we had to ask for ice.
Our server (I unfortunately don’t remember her name), was the only reason I didn’t give everything 1 star. She was attentive and very very sweet!!! She was certainly on top of her game for sure!
I understand there was an import tennis match on while my husband and I were having brunch. However, the restaurant was so noisy to the point my husband and I had to yell at each other to even have a conversation.
Also, upon our arrival, my husband and I waited over 5 minutes for someone in the entire restaurant to acknowledge us!!! Different employees walked by us at least 7 times, without acknowledging us at all. I was literally about to walk out, when a food runner came over and said whenever the host comes back we can be seated. Finally, the bartender took it upon herself to just seat us and was very apologetic, so good job on her end!
The service is exceptional, the ambiance is lovely but the food is mediocre. The pizza tastes like a basic fast food pizza.
The food was just "ok". I ordered the bolognese but is was little sauce compared to pasta. Nothing special. I expected a bold flavor but it was very subtle and needed salt at best. My son got the crab gnocchi which was good, just needed salt as well. I may give it another try but I'm certainly not in a rush. Hoping for a better experience next time.

This restaurant has a New Ownership/Management since my last visit. The quality of the food has taken a material hit. The Pizza, which historically was Excellent, is mediocre at best. Initially it was served undercooked. When we complained that it was doughy, the kitchen simply reheated it. That was BAD FORM. They should have brought us a fresh pie. The first salad that the waiter brought was the wrong salad. The replacement Salad did not match the description on the menu and the waiter say, "Well they ran out of a few things so they altered it." I understand that things like that happen. But the waiter should have asked us if we wanted something else BEFORE he served it. All-in-all, I would give the Kitchen a ZERO. The waiter claimed he was new so I'll give him a 'Fair'. Clearly, he did not know his menu. They should have comped the meal, or they could have asked us to pay and then invite us back for a comp meal next time. Instead they offered a $8 discount on a $100 bill. That was insulting. I'm disappointed because, historically, Sugo was my "Go To" Italian restaurant in the area.
There are some items that we ordered on the brunch menu that never came to the table... and we ordered the same item up to three times and it never came to the table. His isn’t the first time this has happened... it’s too bad because the server was fantastic but the kitchen had no idea what was happening. We won’t be back.
Too Noisy! Food was better when we were there at an earlier date. Pizza was overcooked.
Good food + service and waiter= happy customer.
