With concrete floors, reclaimed wood walls, concrete bar, wood fired oven and a mosaic tile wall to give the feel of a true Osteria (wine bar). Additionally, the menu changes seasonally to go with our seasonal cocktail list. Pizza & Pasta are some of our favorites but our menu offers plenty more to please everyone's palate including fresh vegetable and seafood options. Join us for our famous All You Can Eat Brunch featuring our Mortadella Bennie, and Sugo French Toast. Sugo is our go to restaurant for our family of four. The food is great and the wait staff and manager are so friendly. They offer a great happy hour menu of food and drinks that you can even order at the tables - not just at the bar.

We have been to Sugo several times, going back to when it first opened. Got together the other night with a few family members and looking forward to sharing a variety of dishes. It was a Wednesday night and there were very few customers, a bad sign. The service was good but we found the food to be disappointing. Gnocchi was over cooked and mushy, the pizza crust was tough and chewy and the mussels were dry and lacking flavor. The bread was toasted and not fresh.

Hopefully this was an anomaly and not the norm. But given the many choices in the area will not be returning soon.

Love Sugo but should have checked that it was homecoming night. We got our order for 6 in prior to the big order from the students but they mass produced pizzas and in the end forgot about my roasted vegetables (which is usually my favorite). Bartender was our server but was swamped. I tried to go up and give an order and he told me he will come by and never did. Pizza was made ok a rush and you can tell (we are there almost every Monday so we can compare). My daughter cheese pizza had almost no sauce on one side. Charcuterie platter - cheese was awesome. Meat seemed old and off. Actually we took some home and it was bad the next day. Roasted vegetables showed up with our check finally and never got our 3rd beer. Other than that - all other food was wonderful. The calamari, mussels, spaghetti, steak , caprese salad, spinach salad. Even got the crepe brûle, Cannoli and gelato. All really good and tasty. Spent a lot of money $260 for 6 because of the quantity of food we ordered - just wish the restaurant realized we weren’t the high schoolers who are all sharing pizzas prior to homecoming but folks who come regularly, like different foods to try and could have drank a lot more of you came by to see how we are doing or asked us if we want another wine or beer.

I had a reservation with Open Table, they could not seat me for 15-20 minutes. So we sat at the bar. The bar tender was overwhelmed, the food was cold and not good. Expensive to say the least. I will not return to recommend this restaurant.

Our meal was not cheap and it was terrible! It took 30 minutes to get our first drink order and 30 minutes to get the next drink order. There were only three drinks! The food was very basic but not well done at all! Pizzas were soggy and oil soaked, and the pasta was overdone. It was a waste of time and money I would not recommend this restaurant and we obviously will never go back

The waitress attended to us 30 mins after seating and forgot that we asked for happy hour menu. Service was just really slow... The bartender was kind enough to still offer us happy hour rate past happy hour time. We were given complimentary creme brulee to make up for the service but it was very eggy. If that’s even a word. Basically sweet scrambled eggs...

We went the last minute and the new owner greeted us. We sat outside under the new awning. It's much quieter outside. They had a special on Monday of half priced Pizza and it was good. To welcome us the owner copped us with two Passion fruit Martinis. It's a nice place to eat

The quality of the AYCE brunch has gone down over the years for sure! As food arrived that my husband and I ordered, most of the items came out dry, flavorless, or looked like it was just thrown on a plate. The mimosas are gross! They all came out warm; so warm, we had to ask for new ones. When the new one’s arrived warm, we had to ask for ice.

Our server (I unfortunately don’t remember her name), was the only reason I didn’t give everything 1 star. She was attentive and very very sweet!!! She was certainly on top of her game for sure!

I understand there was an import tennis match on while my husband and I were having brunch. However, the restaurant was so noisy to the point my husband and I had to yell at each other to even have a conversation.

Also, upon our arrival, my husband and I waited over 5 minutes for someone in the entire restaurant to acknowledge us!!! Different employees walked by us at least 7 times, without acknowledging us at all. I was literally about to walk out, when a food runner came over and said whenever the host comes back we can be seated. Finally, the bartender took it upon herself to just seat us and was very apologetic, so good job on her end!

The food was just "ok". I ordered the bolognese but is was little sauce compared to pasta. Nothing special. I expected a bold flavor but it was very subtle and needed salt at best. My son got the crab gnocchi which was good, just needed salt as well. I may give it another try but I'm certainly not in a rush. Hoping for a better experience next time.

This restaurant has a New Ownership/Management since my last visit. The quality of the food has taken a material hit. The Pizza, which historically was Excellent, is mediocre at best. Initially it was served undercooked. When we complained that it was doughy, the kitchen simply reheated it. That was BAD FORM. They should have brought us a fresh pie. The first salad that the waiter brought was the wrong salad. The replacement Salad did not match the description on the menu and the waiter say, "Well they ran out of a few things so they altered it." I understand that things like that happen. But the waiter should have asked us if we wanted something else BEFORE he served it. All-in-all, I would give the Kitchen a ZERO. The waiter claimed he was new so I'll give him a 'Fair'. Clearly, he did not know his menu. They should have comped the meal, or they could have asked us to pay and then invite us back for a comp meal next time. Instead they offered a $8 discount on a $100 bill. That was insulting. I'm disappointed because, historically, Sugo was my "Go To" Italian restaurant in the area.

There are some items that we ordered on the brunch menu that never came to the table... and we ordered the same item up to three times and it never came to the table. His isn’t the first time this has happened... it’s too bad because the server was fantastic but the kitchen had no idea what was happening. We won’t be back.

Started an with unsweetened iced tea that tasted like it had been sitting for days. We ordered brussel sprouts appetizer which was very good. My wife ordered a pizza and I ordered the chicken parmesan — her pizza came out about 10 minutes before my main dish, which was frustrating. Pizza was good, chicken parm was mediocre. I also requested penne instead of spaghetti, and later found out on the bill that the penne is gluten free and is a 3 dollar surcharge, which was never mentioned. Total was 70 dollars for two people, which is pretty pricey for a bad experience.

Overall would not return or recommend.

Just a very average experience. The only two times I’ve been there they’ve been out of something on the menu (how are you out of caprese salad at 6:30 on Sat night?). The food was decent, not great and not awful, but our server never came by the entire meal until we asked for our check at the end. Not rushing back anytime soon.

Sugo used to be one of my favorite spots. I came for brunch with a friend on Saturday. They do have a $35 "bottomless" brunch option for AYCE brunch menu. The reason I say "bottomless" is because it's not actually free/ bottomless. It's discounted, for example 49 cents per order of mimosa..

We opted to order a la carte and shared the breakfast pizza no sausage, nutella banana waffle, hangover potatoes. The first thing the server came over with was brussel sprouts.. we both looked at each other a bit confused, and let him know that we didn't order it. He apologized and left it at our table as not to waste the food, which we appreciated. The brussel sprouts were actually very delicious and I would recommend them! The hangover potatoes were tasty and savory, but quite a small portion - it would have fit in the palm of my hand if I scooped it up and put it there. Next the pizza came out .. with no eggs or sausage. We pointed it out to our server and he apologized and had the dish re-made to include the eggs that were missing. Lastly, the nutella banana waffle that came out was okay - nothing you can't make at home. It wasn't even a whole waffle, it was half. The four quarters you get out of a whole waffle, they serve 2 of those with a little nutella, banana slices, and whipped cream.

It's unfortunate but I don't really see myself coming back based on this experience. It doesn't inspire much confidence in me that there were 2 mistakes in our small order, and the portion sizes have gotten smaller since my last visit for the price point/ quality.

Looking for a light dinner after shopping on Rockville Pike, we headed to Sugo in Potomac. Ordering from the Happy Hour menu, we feasted on mussels, pizza, and a caesar salad, accompanied by a cocktail and a glass of wine. The mussels, although small, were perfectly prepared in a broth of white wine, garlic, and fennel, with a hint of cream. The pizza, a delicious artisanal cheese pizza, and the caesar salad, completed this repast. Our waitress was personable and attentive. Definitely a winner.

Overall, I had a very poor experience at this restaurant. It was my first time visiting, so I was super excited about it! But from the beginning, I was just not happy and it was mostly due to the poor customer service. The hostess did not greet us in a friendly manner at all. She looked more annoyed than anything. We told her we had a reservation and she said our table wasn’t ready and we’d have to wait. What’s the point of making a reservation then? She seemed so lost to be honest but maybe she’s new so I tried to be a bit more understanding. Regardless, she could’ve at least had a welcoming attitude. Once we are finally seated, this bartender comes and tells us we have to move because they don’t have enough space for their party of 10. This is just bad planning, you have to know how to organize your seating to avoid this. I had never been to a restaurant before where they’ve asked me to move. Completely unprofessional. But what made it worse was when this bartender tells us that we have no option but to move, literally forcing us to do so. That really annoyed me because I am the GUEST and I am paying for a SERVICE and it is not my fault you did not know how to plan accordingly for your large parties and that the host sat us in an area you later would need. Terrible customer service and poor people skills. Lastly, the food took a long time and the server had to re-ring a couple of the food items because they simply never came out. He was not friendly at all and could’ve been a lot nicer. It kind of seemed like he hated his job. I can honestly say that I will not be returning here. I was thoroughly disappointed by the poor customer service in more than one occasion. I even had to apologize to my friends for bringing them to a place that genuinely sucks due to people that do not care about providing quality customer care.

This is not fully accurate. You had a party of 4 and our hostess made a mistake seating you at a large table because she didn't want you to wait any longer. The baby shower party who had that table reserved came in just afterwards, we did not make you move. We asked this request, so these pregnant women wouldn't have to wait until 3 tables, 10 seats were available. Your group was fine with it, we bought you a round of drinks, discounted your brunch and offered dessert on the house.

The whole experience was great, from the customer service to our waiter and the food and drinks. The French toast was the best secondly was the chicken and waffle. We did all you can eat and added the mimosas for like $.49 cents it was awesome. My recommendation is to get the bottomless brunch when going for brunch that way you can sample everything they have.

We were celebrating my friend’s birthday and it was our first time at the restaurant. We had looked at the menu in advance and decided on the shared plates. We were there for lunch and found out the shared plates are available at dinner, not lunch. It took us a few minutes to find something else. We ended up getting 2 different salads. Both salads were very good and so was the service we received. We definitely want to try it for dinner.
